Ok, so I set the method to get the color profile in darktable to "xatom" (inspired by the fact that darktable-cmstest gave the correct profile for xatom but not colord. Now geeqie shows the same colors with "system color profile" as darktable does with system color profile. Gnome image viewer show more saturated colors, but I guess it's not color managed, so that can't be fixed? I enabled color management in firefox and installed the color profile following http://cameratico.com/guides/firefox-color-management/ (i think after enabling icc v4 it automatically picked up on it anyway). So now I think it's consistent everywhere except for the non-colormanaged applications, which is the best I could hope for, right? darktable user mailing list to unsubscribe send a mail to darktable-user+unsubscr...@lists.darktable.org

I had a similar problem. Everything looked good on my local devices, but images in Google Photos came back looking washed out. The problem went away after I set display profile and export file format to sRGB (web safe). If DT uses timestamps to evaluate whether a sidecar file has changed since last run and if the two computeres involved does not have a synchronized clock in general and more specific between the two changes could be lost. -- Hilsen/Regards Michael Rasmussen Get my public GnuPG keys: michael rasmussen cc http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/pks/lookup?op=get=0xD3C9A00E mir datanom net http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/pks/lookup?op=get=0xE501F51C mir miras org http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/pks/lookup?op=get=0xE3E80917 -- /usr/games/fortune -es says: Klatu barada nikto. pgpKL1w9uuO0z.pgp Description: OpenPGP digital signature
[darktable-user] sidecar handling
Dear users, imagine the following situation: I have two computers in my LAN, call them PC and LP. If I am working on LP, I usually mount the releated folder structure with my photographs from PC via sshfs. Recently I was working on my LP and switched to PC later, but I could not manage to see the modifications on PC I previously did on LP. I already set the core preference 'look for updated xmp files on startup' on enabled, but neither 'reload selected XMP-files' nor 'overwrite selected XMP-files' resulted in the desired behaviour. Thanks for your help! Sebastian -- Verschlüsselte Emails sind mir sehr willkommen.
