Hello, as you can find here " https://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg03683.html" I had a similar problem. In the end I bought a 1050ti (Asus EX-GTX 1050 TI-4G) and I'm pretty happy with the final performance result.
My box: cpu: intel i5-3450 ram: 8gb sda: SSD Samsung 830 128GB 2,5" sdb: Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB 3.5" video card: NVidia 1050ti 4GB os: debian 9 (stable) proprietary driver version: 375.82 darktable: version 2.2.5 I've run the proposed test: http://www.mirada.ch/bench.SRW > http://www.mirada.ch/bench.SRW.xmp > put both in one directory and run: > > Opencl enabled: > darktable-cli bench.SRW test.jpg --core -d perf -d opencl > > Opencl disabled: > darktable-cli bench.SRW test.jpg --core --disable-opencl -d perf and here are my result: with OpenCl: [dev_process_export] pixel pipeline processing took 8,128 secs (11,640 CPU) without OpenCl: [dev_process_export] pixel pipeline processing took 28,074 secs (108,056 CPU) Hope this helps.
