[darktable-user] Fedora lensfun-update

2019-03-04 Thread Leander Hutton

Does anyone else on here use Fedora with Darktable and lensfun from
their repository? The utility for updating the lensfun profiles
(lensfun-update or lensfun-update-db) do not seem to be included with
their package. Can I just manually grab the profiles and stick them in
the ~/.local/shrae/lensfun directory?

Thanks.

[darktable-user] Tethering

2019-03-04 Thread darktable
DT 2.6 on Manjaro (current)

I'm have problem with the tethering.

Fujifilm X-PRO2. I connected, started the session and the first
image appear in the new session and then "whole hell broke loose".

The light/led on the camera was flashing like crazy orange and green.
The camera froze completely.

According to gphoto2

This version of gphoto2 is using the following software versions and options:
gphoto2 2.5.20 gcc, popt(m), exif, no cdk, aa, jpeg, readline
libgphoto2 2.5.22 all camlibs, gcc, ltdl, EXIF
libgphoto2_port 0.12.0 iolibs: disk ptpip serial usb1 usbdiskdirect
usbscsi, gcc, ltdl, USB, serial lockdev locking

Do I need to install something? Is libgphoto2 included in DT2.6?
Which version?

How do I try to track/solve what's the problem?

There was a similar issue a while ago that has already been fixed, if you
can build from source check the current master.

I experienced this recently as well. I didn't get around to troubleshooting it
at the time, and I don't use that module very often, but checking just now, the
behavior seems to have reverted to normal without having done anything
intentional to "fix" it, so... no idea, sorry. It's not just you, anyway.

[darktable-user] offset during mask placement

2019-03-04 Thread Erik Schidlack
Hi,

I have some curious issue when placing masks. It started when a friend with
4 paws tried to help me editing the photos, of course standing on the
keyboard.
The situation is now, for example for spot removal using a circular mask,
when selecting the mask the circle follows the mouse movement nicely.
But as soon as I place it on the spot of interest it jumps to the side.
The effect of the mask is still happening on the spot I selected, but the
mask is displayed with an offset. Making it really difficult to handle it
later on.
It gets more confusing when you have several spot masks placed.
This happens with all masks.
I see that the little cross of the mask origin has an offset too.
Any idea where I can adjust that?
So far I tried to remove/install darktable with removal of the configs.
I also tried different GUIs (KDE Plasma, LXDE, LXQT), all with the same
effect.
System is updated (Arch).
Is that maybe some X11 setting that changed?

Thanks for any pointer,
Erik

As someone else already noted in the thread, the image you sent show that the
target area of your clone tool is burlier after the clone (look at the post
under the sign). In other words, the edges have been removed, but not the
overall contrast. This is the expected behavior, I see exactly the intended
behavior on these screenshots.

Maybe reading the manual and/or
https://www.darktable.org/2018/12/darktable-26/#retouch will help.

Re: [darktable-user] OT : printer in the UK

2019-03-04 Thread Michael Below
I have ordered prints from the printspace a couple of times, before they closed
their German - faced website. They were shipped from London, quality was good,
prices on the high side. They had a handy set of example prints for the
available media and matching color profiles. The English website is at

[darktable-user] Keyboard shortcut for "reject" problem

2019-03-04 Thread Jean-Luc Lacroix

Bonjour à tous,

Version 2.6.0 Linux, Debian

TLDR:

The "r" shortcut" to revert from "rejected" to "not-rejected" does not
work when the picture(s) is (are) selected.

To replicate:

- Expected behaviour: hover the mouse over one picture and press "r",
picture is rejected. Press again to revert the rejection.

- Unexpected behaviour: select one or a range of pictures press "r" to
reject it (them) from the collection. The shortcut does not work to
revert the rejection.

Bug or intended feature?

Ref: https://www.darktable.org/usermanual/en/shortcuts.html

Bonne journée.

Cheers.
