[darktable-user] Ubuntu compiling errors
I have been easily compiling darktable git on Ubuntu 19.10 for ages. But when I recently upgraded to 20.04, compiling started to fail. Just wanted to pass along that i found an old post from Roman Lebedev that said to try "git clean -f -d -x" so I did and it cleaned the buiild directory up. Compiles fine now. So posted this in case somebody else runs into this problem. Jack darktable user mailing list to unsubscribe send a mail to darktable-user+unsubscr...@lists.darktable.org

Re: [darktable-user] Strange behavior of font-size parameter in css
Hi Romano If you search the mailing list you'll find a thread entitled "Fontsize with darktable 3.0.0~git325.4538201be" which lists a few ways to fix this. On 18/04/2020 21:47, Romano Giannetti wrote: Good evening everyone. I hope to find everybody safe and healthy. Thank you again to the developers of DT, which is a really incredible piece of software. I just upgraded to DT 3.0.2 (Ubuntu 18.04, using PPA ubuntuhandbook1/darktable) and I have a very strange behavior; I am asking to see if it's reproducible or it's an artifact of my installation. With 3.0.1, what I did to change the font size was to edit /usr/share/darktable/themes/darktable.css and, in the main CSS stanza (around line 160), I changed the font-size: entry from 1em to 0.8em and it was perfect. Now it seems that this parameter has become uber-sensitive: changind to 0.9em give very small, unreadable font and putting it to 1.1em results in enormous font. Re: [darktable-user] Line Retouch
Hi David, the retouch tool using a suitable size brush would do this. Select source pixels just above or below the line by hovering mouse over the source and using the keyboard shortcut shift + left-click. Then paint over the line and the retouch tool would usually do a good job. However, I tend to use GIMP more for retouching than Darktable. Each program has its own strengths. [darktable-user] Select Untouched
What does "Select Untouched" actually do? The manual says it selects images that have "not yet been developed", but what does that mean? As far as I'm seeing, it never selects anything. I'm importing my images from the camera with digikam, so they all have sidecar files--I don't know if that makes a difference. What I'd like to do is select any images I've mucked with (that is, they would have the "yin-yang" symbol in the lighttable view). I seem to have discovered a malfunction in that the Module Groups Control Bar (Section 3.3.9 in The Fine Manual) has seemingly disappeared. [darktable-user] Export to Clipboard
Hello all, sometimes I just want to quickly share an image via copy/paste. Is there any way to export an (individual) image to the clipboard? I kind of hoped pressing Ctrl-C would do the job, but no. Currently I'm using the system screenshot tool to (roughly) select the image as rendered in the Darktable, which is quite a clutch. But it's much quicker than exporting to file system and opening the file in an editor that can interact with the clipboard. Seems like something a LUA script would be able to do, but I don't know how to write images to clipboard using LUA. I guess I could call an external tool, but that's very system-specific and it's non-obvious which external tool to use[1].
