[darktable-user] Plan for dt 3.6
Hello, The plan for 3.6 was sent recently, as a reminder: - release - T0 : July 3rd - code freeze - T0-10 : June 23rd - start create binaries - string freeze - T0-12 : June 11th - start translation - feature freeze - T0-30 : June 1st - only code fix - safe mode - T0-45 : mid-May - only safe simple code So today we are entering "string freeze" mode where only bug fix can be integrated and no more string changes. This means that all translators can start finalizing the translation work. The dead line is June 23rd. Thanks to all for making this 3.6 release very exiting ! I write to this list very seldom, and that is now because I just had to create a filter on postmas...@gatworks.com. Maybe I'm missing something since I tend to delete email pretty fast, but I don't see where "Postmaster" has specified what has failed for him or her. Vague assertions that something is wrong don't help the devs or us. Crop and rotate comprises a ton of functionalities. Please get really specific. 1. What exactly is happening? 2. When? 3. What are you doing when the problem occurs? 4 What system are you using? PC, Linux, Mac? 5. What version of the OS are you using? 6. Other people don't seem to be having the same issues as you so the more information you can provide the more quickly someone may be able to be helpful. Just saying you have some unspecific problem over and over really isn't going to get you anywhere. 7. There is just no explanation as to why release after release has the same issues. Any one for QA. I dont see it. Do you? the rotate and clip issue(s)are in 3.4.1, 3.4.1.1, as well in 3.6 . Why would anyone use darktable, if it behaves erratically, inconsistently, and just dies at any moment. Rotate and clip should be rock solid by now. xmp files should be rock solid by now. the 500 or so issues should be eliminated. Then again, see #1 . anyway, my orig question is anyone working on the rotate and clip issues?
