Re: [datameet] Re: Delhi ward data post 2017 delimitation?

2019-08-14 Thread Devdatta Tengshe
Hi Amit,

I can confirm that the data at
https://github.com/datameet/Municipal_Spatial_Data/tree/master/Delhi is
scraped before the delimitation, and as such has older boundaries.

It is the gov data but from the older version of INDIA-WRIS web portal. It
is available until the new version is not coming online. As the new website
is under construction so they didn't upload the data. For more information,
you can visit http://tamcnhp.com/wris/#/ .

[datameet] Re: [Datameet] Groundwater Level Data

2019-08-14 Thread Sashikumar N
Hi Fazil,
Looks like WRIS site is on a revamp mode and data download is all obscured
by less useful graphics. Here is a link for the old site, hope you can
download data district-wise from here:

http://59.179.19.250/GWL/GWL.html?UType=R2VuZXJhbA==?UName=

Considering that this data might have short access time, it would be great
if volunteers can download data for all States(till 2018) and make it
available for all future users! Any takers? :)

Hope there is no any limitation on sharing this data, I have downloaded
data for Karnataka, AndhraPradesh, Telangana, TamilNadu and Kerala. I can
share it from a github site

regards
sashi

[datameet] Packets, net neutrality and gaming public policy outcomes: lecture by Prof. Vishal Misra

2019-08-14 Thread Zainab Bawa
Debates around Net Neutrality are important for our community. Free and
neutral access to the internet influences not only consumers, but our
businesses too.

Tomorrow, on 15 August, Prof. Vishal Misra, will elaborate on the argument
he made to Indian regulators about Net Neutrality: look at how you, i.e.,
the government, treats competition among ISPs, rather than controlling
packets (which eventually affects consumers).
