Your templates.ca contains unwanted leading spaces.
Apart from that, encoding does not really matter yet for debian-installer.

No

The templates files should not be in UTF-8.

Debconf templates in the -udebs should be in UTF-8. I don't care if
they are in klingon in the source packages as long as they are in
UTF-8 in the binary packages. If the templates are not in UTF-8 and
the build process does not convert them, then feel free to fix either.

  Hi,

now that po-debconf entered experimental, I would like to exhibit how

  Is there any objection?

No objections, please go foward with it. I guess since po-debconf is
not in the main archive we do not want to build-dep on it? Up to you,
whatever is cleanest/makes the most sense.

Thanks David,

I have added debian-installer/tools/netcfg/debian/po/ and a bunch of
files. They do not interfere with current templates files, and feel
free to remove them if needed.
These files are not in a perfect shape, but they illustrate how po-debconf
is supposed to work.

Bug#161284: woody + hp9000 installation problem

2002-09-17 Thread Thomas Witzmann

Package: installation
Version: 3.0 r0 woody

architecture: hppa
model: hp9000 E35
memory: 256MB
scsi: HP internal
cdrom: HP internal
network card: HP internal
pcmcia: none

I've got some trouble while booting from cdrom.
Booting stops with this message:

Branching to kernel enty point 0x0010. If this is the last
message you see, you may need to switch your console. This is a
common symptom -- search the FAQ and mailing list at parisc-linux.org

Search there was not sucessfull. Changig terminal type by PALO takes
no effect.
Exist a solution for this problem.

Greetings
