A package for such a small file seems like overkill. How about I put it
in base-config and whoever we find who understands how it works
 (You,

Definitely not me!

or if not you, I contemplate looking up the original author in the
cvs logs..) can just maintain it from there. Everyone has commits to
 base-config cvs after all.

Sure, go ahead.

Looks good to me, It also seemd a bit hard to me to create a package for it,
but was what most people wanted, and when I was searching a package where it
would fit I didn't find any package where the maintainer wanted it :-)

Base-config seems perfect and cvs access really rules for the ones that
really have to care about termwrap to be able to maintain it.

I say go for it, include it in base-config.

Hey, I've just uploaded the package for termwrap before reading this mail ;)
But I agree with you, base-config is perfect for us. I don't want to maintain
such a little single script only package.

I'll ask the removal of termwrap after the new base-config is installed.

(Or, if the new base-config comes very soon, it may be enough just
to remove it from Incoming of ftp-master.)

Regards.

joeyh The new base-config is in Incoming now, so..

checked the cvs tree of base-config, and got base-config 0.69.3
from incoming.

This enables the usage of termwrap with debian-installer when required,
I think. Very good news for us who need i18n support :)

manty Well, since then termwrap lays on

I've got it from this place in order to put it in a small package.

manty But recently and after asking what we were gonna do about this quite some
manty times... Taketoshi Sano has agreed to package it. So on the 17 May he filled
manty an ITP (bug #97793) on termwrap. (Sano, how is this going?)

I've been too busy to create/check such one small package, but I shall
manage to do it in a week (or are there someone can do it for us ?
I'm pleased if I can give that package to someone who can understand it
and can check/test its function.)

manty So, after Sano packages it it must be added to the packages to install on
manty debootstrap and we'll be done.

I'm looking forward to...

Sorry about this termwrap mess.

I'll fix the inittab so that we don't use it anymore. We can change
it back when this shows up.
