Package: progsreiserfs Severity: grave Hi all, The previous maintainer, (which was not even a DD), has not been active since forever (well july 2004), and his email address bounces. Given that he did only one upload since timshell knoll left the debian project, and progreiserfs has an RC bug open since forever, it would be great if someone else would take over or something. There are a couple of fixes, probably for the RC bug even, in the bug-parted@gnu.org mailing lists, from the progreiserfs author himself. I personally don't want to take over porgreiserfs, since i am already saddled with parted i didn't really wish to maintain. That said, it would be nice to reenable progreiserfs support in parted, which is why progreiserfs fixed those bugs. Anyway, just wanted to bring this to the attention of the general public, not sure if this is the best way. Package: kdelibs-data Version: 4:3.3.2-6.1 Severity: important Hi, I upgraded my version of kdelibs-data today, and when I rebooted, I found that a number of things were broken: - The k-menu had no application entries at all (I tried running update-menus and kbuildsycoca to fix this, but that made no difference) - The quicklauncher in kicker had lost it's buttons for the applications that I usually have there. - When I ran konqueror, the part on the left, which can show the directory structure, the bookmarks, the services, etc, was gone. - When I tried to configure konqueror from the settings menu nothing happened. - When I tried to run kcontrol, I got the kcontrol window with nothing in it - ie the background picture on the right was there, listing my kde version, username etc. However, there were no entries listed on the left in any of the tabs for index/search/help I reckon that there were probably more things wrong than these that I didn't happen to find. Downgrading kdelibs-data to the previous version solved all of these problems. As I see it, upstream is Revolution Software and I don't count on seeing a new _Beneath a Steel Sky_ version out... The ScummVM team has for all practical purposes become the upstream for BASS after it was made free software. That's why I defer the decision on how to hande this issue to them, and as Ender said it's supposed to be this way, I will respect that. If you can convince him to change it, then of course that change will show up in the Debian package. Well, to me even writing down Swedish subtitles while I see them on screen is too difficult! :-( As I said, I can send you a game-save from which you can see subtitles by yourself: I had real fun in reading that conversation in all kind of languages! ;-) Feel free to send me a save-game if you want me to translate it - I don't really have time to play all the way there myself right now. Maybe someone went mad about that dialog, but what's funny is that only English subtitles were changed. English speech was left untouched... Maybe because the floppy version didn't have speech, and were thus able to get a lower maturity rating somewhere... I don't really know. You could ask Tony Warriner at Revolution, though, if anyone know why it must be him.
