The package offers six different fonts, which are: * Ponomar Unicode -- provides the typeface used presently in liturgical books of the Russian Orthodox Church and other Easter Orthodox and Byzantine Catholic Churches. Covers all Cyrillic characters required for modern Church Slavonic as well as Aleut (Fox Island dialect), Sakha (Yakut) and Moldovan (Romanian Cyrillic). * Fedorovsk Unicode -- provides the typeface used in historical printed books in Moscow in the 16th-17th century and used presently in liturgical books of the Russian Old Ritualist communities. Covers Cyrillic characters required for modern and 16th century Church Slavonic. * Menaion Unicode -- provides a typeface that mimics Church Slavonic manuscripts (Cyrillic or Glagolitic) written in the 12th-14th centuries. Covers all Cyrillic and Glagolitic characters needed for Church Slavonic of all eras. Provides additional variants and ligatures via OpenType or SIL Graphite features or through the Private Use Area. * Monomakh Unicode -- a font intended for use by academics studying Slavic philology or history. This is not a historically authentic typeface, but rather a stylized to mimick 14th/15th century Slavonic. Coverage: all Cyrillic characters needed for Church Slavonic of all eras, plus various variants and ligatures via OpenType / Graphite features or through the PUA. * Indiction Unicode -- a decorative typeface for typesetting drop caps. Mimics the typeface of drop caps in modern liturgical texts of the Russian Orthodox Church * Pomorsky Unicode -- a decorative typeface for typesetting drop caps or titles. Mimics the decorative script used by scribes at the Old Ritualist Vyg Hermitage in the 19th century. Aleksandr

Bug#674936: pulseaudio: Html5 player can change system volume on track changing. Pls disable it.
Package: pulseaudio Version: 6.0-2 Followup-For: Bug #674936 Dear Maintainer, I went to Youtube and tried to listen music. But when I change the track, volume jumps up, to html5 player volume settings. It means, html5 player had higher priority, than user (by default). My browser is ephipany. Bug#788318: nano: no escape for /* and */ inside the branches
Package: nano Version: 2.2.6-1+b1 Severity: minor Dear Maintainer, * What led up to the situation? Creating and editing .c file in nano * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? I had some code, that included some 'comment' symbol combinations inside the branches, like strcpy(tmp, Accept: */*). When commented in like /* strcpy(tmp,Accept: */*) */ , the 'gui' fails to paint the commented text correctly. * What was the outcome of this action? Bug#675530: Better workaround
Hello. Looking at grub.cfg, I can see --set=root in the linux entries, but not in the Windows entry, and editing grub.cfg manually to include =root in the Windows entry fixes the problem. As far as I understand, it is better to modify /etc/grub.d/30_otheros and make update-grub after that. If you modify grub.cfg manually, it will return back after update-grub (for example, after kernel updating). -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. From what I've witnessed over the years, os-prober has always been designed as a component of Debian Installer, used to properly setup boot loaders' menus at install time. Apparently, recent evolutions turned it to be installed on running systems *because* grub recommends it. well, Colin Watson is about to say that he disagrees with that analysis..:-) Let's have him elaborate... -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#599203: os-prober: Causes Data Corruption on a SAN setup; Mounts SAN volumes that are already mounted on a different host.
Package: os-prober Version: 1.39 Severity: important An upgrade (os-prober 1.35 - 1.39) corrupted 3.3 TB of data on our SAN. I was upgrading the host space1 and the data corruption occurred on space2. An install script of os-prober tried mounting as read-only a SAN volume which was already mounted on space2. That volume (on sapce2) was in production use so EXT3-fs (on space1) concluded that the journal was inconsistent, re-mounted as writable and performed a recovery. The mount on space2 became unavailable bringing the production host down. Re-mounting failed. After rebooting space2 fsck was required on the affected partition. It ran for many hours and found a huge number errors. Probably more than 10,000 errors. Then I was able to mount the volume and saw that our data was turned into gray goo: parts of system prel scripts were replaced by binary chunks, databases and web servers would not start. I had 30 containers in production. Some actually booted despite major sporadic data corruption in them. My fellow system administrator from another department on campus said that their distribution (CentOS) does not run install scripts. As he worded it - Debian ended-up managing your SAN for you. The reason why I got os-prober was the change in Debian's policy to install all recommended packages and os-prober was recommended by Grub. I am not sure why the data corruption did not happed when I upgraded to Squeeze a month ago (grub-common 1.96+20080724-16 - 1.98-1). I'm attaching the aptitiude log and syslog of space1. The root of the problem is also described in bug #556739 (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=556739). The author predicts filesystem corruption and data loss back in 2009. Bug#522726: kernel problem after a simple 'rm' command: RESERVE_SPACE(805) failed in function encode_lookup
Hi Ben, No, I haven't got a chance to check if the bug exists in newer version. We changed our NFS server from Linux to OpenSolaris. But it was a major problem. It re-occurred every time a user would attempt a filesystem operation where the filename was very long (e.g. 500 characters). Any fs write operation (rm, create new file) would cause the kernel panic. The crash happened several times a year. In all cases it was when someone would antecedently pass data instead of a filename to a peace of code that expects filenames.
