Subject: powertop: Powertop crashes on battery
Package: powertop
Version: 2.0-0.3
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation? When I launch sudo powertop or powertop
(as root), it crashes with this output: terminate called after throwing an
instance of 'std::ios_base::failure'
what(): basic_filebuf::underflow error reading the file
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
* What was the outcome of this action? Powertop is useless when laptop is on
battery
* What outcome did you expect instead?
I read that next versions of powertop fix this bug, but I think that the aim of
Debian Stable is to work well without upgrading packages
