Bug#1043031: Probably not a bug in xserver-xorg
I found the external monitor working when booting linux-image-6.3.0-2-amd64. It doesn't work with linux-image-6.4.0-1-amd64 or linux-image-6.4.0-2-amd64. So probably this bug should be reassigned to the kernel package

Bug#902295: linux-image-4.16.0-2-amd64: invalid opcode / general protection fault with nvidia graphics module

Bug#573261: cryptsetup: change of default cipher breaks systems
Package: cryptsetup Version: 2:1.1.0~rc2-1 Severity: important With the plain default cipher change from 1.1.0~rc2-1 to 1.1.0-1, "starting" encrypted partitions with plain and default cipher will fail. I don't think so, at least not on your system, according to the above. Bug#425808: liblber: Assertion failed
Package: libldap2 Version: 2.1.30-13.3 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable We're using libldap2 in combination with kerberos for AD authentication and authorization. Often, login, id lookups and samba fail due to an assertion failure in liblber. Here's the output of a failed call to id: $ id id: /tmp/buildd/openldap2-2.1.30/libraries/liblber/sockbuf.c:82: ber_sockbuf_ctrl: Assertion `( (sb)->sb_opts.lbo_valid == 0x3 )' failed. uid=1055() gid=12000(foobar)Aborted Samba crashes, the panic action script comes up with a stack trace: 0xb7be58be in waitpid () from /lib/tls/libc.so.6 #0 0xb7be58be in waitpid () from /lib/tls/libc.so.6 #1 0xb7b8d699 in strtold_l () from /lib/tls/libc.so.6 #2 0xb7d1e56d in system () from /lib/tls/libpthread.so.0 #3 0x0822c07a in smb_panic () #4 0x0821a49a in dump_core_setup () #5 #6 0xb7b80947 in raise () from /lib/tls/libc.so.6 #7 0xb7b820c9 in abort () from /lib/tls/libc.so.6 #8 0xb7b7a05f in __assert_fail () from /lib/tls/libc.so.6 #9 0xb7eb9622 in ber_sockbuf_ctrl () from /usr/lib/liblber.so.2 #10 0xb7ec950f in ldap_msgdelete () from /usr/lib/libldap_r.so.2 #11 0xb7eca4b3 in ldap_result () from /usr/lib/libldap_r.so.2 #12 0xb775aed0 in ?? Bug#422052: libldap2: Assertion failure in ber_sockbuf_ctrl
Package: libldap2 Version: 2.1.30-13.4 Severity: important I'm using ldap/kerberos to provide a single sing on solution in a small network consistingof Linux and Windows machines. However, there seems to be a bug in liblber preventing me as non-root to issue the "id" command on some accounts (not on all accounts however), and samba keeps crashing every now and then, providing the following stack trace: 0xb7be58be in waitpid () from /lib/tls/libc.so.6 #0 0xb7be58be in waitpid () from /lib/tls/libc.so.6 #1 0xb7b8d699 in strtold_l () from /lib/tls/libc.so.6 #2 0xb7d1e56d in system () from /lib/tls/libpthread.so.0 #3 0x0822c07a in smb_panic () #4 0x0821a49a in dump_core_setup () #5 #6 0xb7b80947 in raise () from /lib/tls/libc.so.6 #7 0xb7b820c9 in abort () from /lib/tls/libc.so.6 #8 0xb7b7a05f in __assert_fail () from /lib/tls/libc.so.6 #9 0xb7eb9622 in ber_sockbuf_ctrl () from /usr/lib/liblber.so.2 #10 0xb7ec950f in ldap_msgdelete () from /usr/lib/libldap_r.so.2 #11 0xb7eca4b3 in ldap_result () from /usr/lib/libldap_r.so.2 #12 0xb775aed0 in ?? Bug#410879: xserver-xorg-core: Dual-screen problem
Hi Julien, On 2007-02-20 07:35, Julien Cristau wrote: > uh, read the bug, please, this is a regression introduced by the int10 > patch in 2:1.1.1-17, so we might want to fix it. > > Benjamin, could you try commenting this line in your xorg.conf: > Option "UseInt10Module""True" > and tell us whether that fixes it? thanks for this suggestion. If I remove that line, I'm able to start the X server using xserver-xorg-core 2:1.1.1-18, but not with 2:2.1.0-3. However, what I get is not one screen next to the other as before, but a cloned output (except for the mouse pointer, which is visible only on one of the screens). Bug#410879: xserver-xorg-core: Dual-screen problem
Package: xserver-xorg-core Version: 2:1.1.1-17 Severity: important Ever since the update of xserver-xorg-core from 2:1.1.1-16 to 2:1.1.1-17, my xinerama configuration with two monitors fails to start claiming two unavaialble modules, event and wfb (which is a sub-module of the nvidia video driver, and is available at /usr/lib/xorg/modules/libnvidia-wfb.so.1.0.9746). I've also tried to go to 2:1.2.0-2 (experimental), but that didn't change anything. Bug#358752: linux-image-2.6.16-1-vserver-686: sendfile() does not work
Package: linux-image-2.6.16-1-vserver-686 Version: 2.6.16-2 Severity: normal The sendfile() system call returns with a return value signalling success (it returns the number of bytes it was requested to copy), but no data is actually copied to the destination.
