Bug#846814: Updating the uploaders list

2016-12-03 Thread Bhavani Shankar R
Hi Tobi,

Sorry for the late response as I was busy in real world stuff

Actually have uploaded my package and will look for a sponsor now

Your upload of the package 'mobile-broadband-provider-info' to
mentors.debian.net was
successful. Others can now see it. The URL of your package is:
https://mentors.debian.net/package/mobile-broadband-provider-info

The respective dsc file can be found at:
https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/m/mobile-broadband-provider-info/mobile-broadband-provider-info_20161204-1.dsc

If you do not yet have a sponsor for your package you may want to go to
https://mentors.debian.net/sponsors/rfs-howto/mobile-broadband-provider-info
and set the "Seeking a sponsor" option to highlight your package on the
welcome page.

You can also send an RFS (request for sponsorship) to the debian-mentors
mailing list. Your package page will give your suggestions on how to
send that mail.

Good luck in finding a sponsor!

Thanks,

I still wish to continue my contributions as long as possible.

Bug#769860: Gjiten could use kanjipad by default

2014-11-16 Thread Bhavani Shankar R
Package: gjiten
Severity: wishlist
Version: 2.6-2.3

Dear Maintainer,

Gjiten has a button labelled "KanjiPad", which launches kanjipad. But
even after installing gjiten and kanjipad, clicking on this button
pops up a warning about not knowing where the kanjipad executable is.

Given that kanjipad is also a official debian package, integration
between them can be improved.

Attached is a patch that does the same, which has been applied in ubuntu.

Bug#602824: lilo: create a common source package

2010-11-08 Thread Bhavani Shankar R
Package: lilo
Version: 1:22.8-8.3
Severity: wishlist

Hello dear maintainers,

As said in the above subject, the idea comes from the following
discussion in the below bug

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lilo/+bug/669363

which essentially states that applying patches can be easier with a
common source package and sebastien's idea also came from the below
article

http://raphaelhertzog.com/2010/11/05/managing-distribution-specific-patches-with-a-common-source-package/

which requires only a source format change to 3.0(quilt)

Yes from the ubuntu changelog:

Add "add-shell /bin/zsh" because zsh-beta is already registered
as an alternative to zsh, and this is needed to be able to have
zsh-beta as the only installed zsh.

So installing only zsh-beta makes it to add /bin/zsh to /etc/shells

2010-07-28 Thread Bhavani Shankar R
Hello clint again!

yeah I think so because zsh-beta is already registered as an
alternative to zsh, so its effect is having zsh-beta as the only zsh
env since its already registered as an alternative as said above So
total effect zsh-beta registers zsh in /etc/shells

Bug#587239: Change exim4 to default-mta and fix for postrm failure when apache2 not present

2010-06-26 Thread Bhavani Shankar R
Package: drupal6
User: ubuntu-de...@lists.ubuntu.com
Usertags: origin-ubuntu lucid ubuntu-patch
Version: 6.17-1
Severity: normal
Tags: patch

Dear Maintainer,

The package depends on exim4 which results in exim4 being installed on
servers when people install drupal before installing another MTA so a
dependency change would install default-mta in ubuntu(as postfix is the
default MTA)

Refer: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/drupal6/+bug/582255

and postrm assumes apache2 to be present and if not package fails to
install and uninstall

Refer: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/drupal6/+bug/583576

In Ubuntu, we've applied the attached patch to achieve the following:

  * Merge from debian unstable. Remaining changes:
- Changing exim4 to default-mta (LP: #582255)
- made postrm check for restart.sh in case dependencies
were not properly installed. (LP: #583576)

We thought you might be interested in doing the same.

2010-02-01 Thread Bhavani Shankar
Package: coccinelle
Version: 0.2.0.deb-1
Severity: wishlist
Tags: patch
User: ubuntu-de...@lists.ubuntu.com
Usertags: origin-ubuntu lucid ubuntu-patch

Hello dear maintainer,

In Ubuntu, we've applied the attached patch to achieve the following:

  * Merge from debian testing. Remaining changes:
- debian/control: build-depend on python2.6-dev,
  set XB-Python-Version to 2.6

and cater to python 2.6 transition.

We thought you might be interested in doing the same.

Hello maintainer,

In Ubuntu, we've applied the attached patch to achieve the following:

  * Merge from debian unstable, remaining changes: LP: #403348
  * debian/control:
- Moved python-musicbrainz from Suggests to Depends(LP: #139008)
- Moved lastfmsubmitd from Suggests to Depends(LP: #158335)

We thought you might be interested in doing the same.
