Bug#761036: Patch (from Debian) for buildling LilyPond 2.18.2 and 2.19.53 on GNU Hurd
Hi Anthony Thanks for the report! I've added it to the tracker: https://sourceforge.net/p/testlilyissues/issues/5077/ We have a procedure for proposing patches. In a nutshell, you need to apply the patch to the master branch and upload it to Google Rietveld with a script called git-cl (available on github). All information is here: http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.19/Documentation/contributor/index.html Can you take care of it? Let me know, thanks Federico Il giorno ven 27 gen 2017 alle 8:40, Anthony Fokha scritto: Hello, LilyPond failed to build on GNU Hurd because Hurd does not have PATH_MAX. Fortunately, a workaround is available thanks to the combined effort of Debian developers Don Armstrong (Debian package maintainer for LilyPond) and Petter Reinholdtsen (Debian Hurd guru). Petter expressed his wish to send this patch upstream to be included in future releases of LilyPond, hence this bug report with the attached patch! :-) A little bit of history: 2013-05-13, Don Armstrong : Changelog for LilyPond Debian package version 2.16.2-2: * Patch around using PATH_MAX in flower/file-name.cc to have builds work on hurd (hopefully). 2014-09-10, Petter Reinholdtsen , debian.org>: https://bugs.debian.org/761036 Hi. The lilypond package do not build on hurd, even with a hurd patch in place. The cause seem to be a typo in the file debian/patches/hurd_file_name_support, checking for _GNU_SOURCE_ instead of _GNU_SOURCE (at least that is what the getcwd() manual page claim to look for). Attached is an updated patch, fixing that bug, a memory leak forgetting to release the memory allocated by get_current_dir_name(), and adding the same code in the test code. Please replace the patch in the current source with this new one, and consider sending it upstream. :) 2016-07-18, Dr. Tobias Quathamer : Reviewed and committed the patch to the debian-experimental branch (intended for an experiment with LilyPond 2.19.x and Guile-2.x) in the LilyPond deb packaging git repository: https://anonscm.debian.org/git/collab-maint/lilypond.git/commit/?h=debian-experimental=e56df084666dbf9905d90c062b1f462aeb6f5f4a 2017-01-27, me: Discovered the above, and cherry-picked Dr. Tobias's commit onto the "debian" (stable) branch with 2.18.2. Bug#712902: (no subject)
Yes, I can confirm. This command works for me (I'm using sudo, no root user): gksu unetbootin Another way is changing the default behaviour from su to sudo in gksu-properties, as suggested here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unetbootin/+bug/1195061/comments/10 And now it works also graphically.

AFAICS the development is currently on github, not on launchpad: https://github.com/wolfv/uberwriter See also a sketch of instructions to install: https://github.com/wolfv/uberwriter/issues/2#issuecomment-68698322

Package: chromium Version: 38.0.2125.101-3 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, as you can see in this screenshot: http://pbrd.co/1q8CI5M chromium print preview has only the Cancel and Save buttons when a PDF is open. I can print only using the link to the system printing dialog (Shift+Ctrl+P). This button disappeared after an upgrade about 10 days ago, few days after the introduction of this feature (print preview, if I call it correctly). I don't know how Chromium detects the local printers. In chrome://devices I see that no devices are detected and I must log in to Chrome to be able to see my devices. Bug#651636: GtkLauncher segfaults on mipsel, JavaScript-related
Il 15/mag/2014 11:08 Alberto Garcia be...@igalia.com ha scritto: On Thu, May 15, 2014 at 08:44:12AM +0200, Federico Bruni wrote: Let me know if you need a backtrace and how I can produce it (I see that things have changed.. where is GtkLauncher?). You can use MiniBrowser instead, which is the GtkLauncher equivalent for the WebKit2 API. Yes, I guess it was MiniBrowser. But when I tried it with gdb it said that the debugging symbols were not available, even if I had installed all the relevant -dev packages. WebKit2 has a split process model, so javascript will not crash the UI, but WebKitWebProcess instead. JavaScript backtraces are usually not very useful, though :( Mmmh, ok

Bug#746788: version 3.12
Olivier, in version 3.12 you can set the preferences to open a new tab (instead of a new window) when you open a new terminal. This is my preferred action. Then if I want to detach a tab, I just drag it outside. I like this new interface (as long as I know how to use it).

Bug#728711: #728711: debootstrap bug?
I can confirm this bug, but I think that it's related to the debootstrap package. As you can see in the attached screenshot, the log is from debootstrap. It's the same for the OP. I don't have any debian-installer package installed. I have used live-build to build my own live cd. attachment: debootstrap-error.png

Bug#724731:
Installing libpam-systemd worked on another laptop of mine, but it doesn't work in a laptop which has the same debian version. I've tried all the workarounds suggested here, but none works. Please note that the same problem occurs if I use lightdm. I can login, then the screen remains empty (only background image).

Bug#659014: (no subject)
I'm currently experiencing a similar problem if a type 'da' in the search box. I see that X is kind of refreshed.. or sometimes it logs me out of the session. I guess it's dependent on some personal configuration. I had added a darktable-git.desktop in ~/.local/share/applications/, so I thought that it might be related. But even if I move it in the home folder the problem persists. Quite annoying. Any hint for debugging this? Thanks Federico

Bug#703607: 703607
I've been using since a month the kernel 3.2.41 with the 8 patches provided in this report and it worked great. Bug#706552: gtranslator is not listed as application for .po files: something wrong in gtranslator.desktop?

Bug#651636: libwebkitgtk-1.0-0: GtkLauncher crashes while browsing websites
2012/4/28 Steven Chamberlain ste...@pyro.eu.org: But that is not a webkit issue; it was reported in libxi6 as #636920 and recently fixed. I still think the original issue you reported was a webkit bug, but you may need to upgrade libxi6 to get clean backtraces. I've pinned the version in unstable On Lemote Yeeloong (with limited RAM and slow disk I/O) it might be easier to run GtkLauncher not within gdb, but enable core dumping; then it will start up and run much faster, and you can produce a backtrace from the core file later. Here's what I've done (as normal user): ulimit -c 5 /usr/lib/webkitgtk-3.0-0/libexec/GtkLauncher The program crashed immediately and I got a core file. Bug#649885: system-config-printer: job is in processing status even if completed successfully and jobs queue is not refreshed
Package: system-config-printer Version: 1.2.3-3 Severity: normal I'm using a network printer and I can print. However the printer applet looks buggy: 1) the first job is in the processing status (I'm translating from my language) even if the job is actually completed. 2) if I print another document, the print queue is not refreshed: I still see the first job. 3) I can't cancel/delete the processing job. Bug#632446: libobjc3: may conflict with libobjc2
Subject: libobjc3: may conflict with libobjc2 Package: libobjc3 Version: 4.6.0-10 Severity: normal *** Please type your report below this line *** I stumbled on this bug while compiling and trying to use The Unarchiver, see this report: http://code.google.com/p/theunarchiver/issues/detail?id=370 As I wrote there, while compiling I had this warning: /usr/bin/ld: warning: libobjc.so.2, needed by /usr/lib/gcc/i486-linux-gnu/4.6.1/../../../../lib/libgnustep-base.so, may conflict with libobjc.so.3 Then I tried to run the executables (unar and lsar) and I got a segfault. I run `gdb unar` to get more information and I found again libobjc.so.3 (see the full log in the attachment in the link above): Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0xb7901cc3 in sel_register_name () from /usr/lib/libobjc.so.3 -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.39-2-686-pae (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=it_IT.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=it_IT.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages libobjc3 depends on: ii gcc-4.6-base 4.6.0-10 The GNU Compiler Collection (base ii libc6 2.13-7 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libgcc1 1:4.6.0-10 GCC support library libobjc3 recommends no packages. libobjc3 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe.
