Indeed. Even version 1.6.2 (the latest) cannot. May be 1.7.0 will (may be not).
In the meantime you have to decrypt the pdf file with another tool (ex: qpdf),
before importing it in pdfarranger.

> I think.

Yes there is a mismatch in the german translation but 1.1.1 is old so I (I'm
the upstream) won't fix it.

I sent and e-mail to Konstantinos Poulios (the original upstream owner)

https://github.com/jeromerobert/pdfshuffler official and maintain
pdfshuffler there with the help of the community.

Bug#796246: FATAL: ThreadSanitizer: unexpected memory mapping

2015-08-20 Thread Jerome Robert
Package: src:linux
Version: 4.1.5-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

Starting with 4.1.3-1 I'm no longer able to use ThreadSanitizer:

$ echo 'void main(void){}' | gcc -pie -fPIE -fsanitize=thread -xc -  ./a.out
FATAL: ThreadSanitizer: unexpected memory mapping 0x55d400945000-0x55d40094600

I don't know if this is a gcc or Linux bug but downgrading Linux to 4.0.8-2 or
3.16.7-ckt11-1 fix the problem. The problem can be reproduced with both gcc
4.9.3
and gcc 5.2.1.

Jerome

Bug#792217: kdirstat: not installable in sid

2015-07-14 Thread Jerome Robert
kdirstat was a transitional package that I removed in 2.7.6-1 (one year ago). I
guess that I should have set this kdirstat as an architecture specific package
instead of arch all. Anyway now that it is gone, the only way to have this bug
fixed is to have k4dirstat 3.0 built on hurd-i386. As writting those lines I
can see that one blocker is kguiaddons which is building but failing in ctest.

Bug#758427: smc: /usr/share/games/smc/gui/font/default_bold.ttf does not exist

2014-08-17 Thread Jerome Robert
Package: smc
Version: 1.9+git20121121-1.1
Severity: important

smc does not start and fail with the following message:

CEGUI::InvalidRequestException in file CEGUIDefaultResourceProvider.cpp(103) :

CEGUI Scheme Exception occurred : DefaultResourceProvider::load:
/usr/share/games/smc/gui/font/default_bold.ttf does not exist

I can see that /usr/share/games/smc/gui/font/default_bold.ttf is a dead link. I
can fix it by installing ttf-dejavu-core but it's not in the smc dependencies
and it's transitionnal.

So unless I'm mistaken the link should be updated to
/usr/share/fonts/truetype/dejavu/DejaVuSans-Bold.ttf and smc should depends on
the fonts-dejavu-core package.

expected:

- libvtk6-java to be arch all and depends on libvtk6-jni

Bug#648716: NoClassDefFoundError: org/jvnet/lafwidget/LafWidgetSupport

2011-11-14 Thread Jerome Robert
Package: triplea
Version: 1.3.2.2-1
Severity: minor

Dear Maintainer,

The Set look and feel action from the View menu raise the following
exception:

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/jvnet/lafwidget/LafWidgetSupport
at java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method)
at java.lang.Class.forName(Class.java:169)
at
games.strategy.triplea.ui.TripleaMenu$2.actionPerformed(TripleaMenu.java:267)
...

It seems that triplea should have /usr/share/java/laf-widget.jar from
liblaf-widget-java in its classpath and depends on liblaf-plugin-java

Note: This bug shows that substance is not a strong dependency, and
should probably be set to recommended.

Bug#640829: oss4-dkms: dkms build fail

Package: oss4-dkms
Version: 4.2-build2004-1
Justification: renders package unusable

oss4-dkms installation fail. See the attached log.

I can also reproduce this bug with the amd64 architecture.

It seems related to the multiarch migration as the missing header
(bits/predefs.h) is no longer in
/usr/include but in /usr/include/$(dpkg-architecture -qDEB_HOST_MULTIARCH).

I confirm that LD_BIND_NOW=1 break enigmail on i386. But on amd64 it
does not.

An other workaround for this bug is:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/icedove LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/icedov/libxpcom.so

This one does not break enigmail on i386.

Bug#626986: RFS: k4dirstat

2011-07-13 Thread Jerome Robert
Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package k4dirstat.

* Package name: k4dirstat
  Version : 2.7.0~git20101011-1
  Upstream Author : Joshua Hodosh kdirs...@grumpypenguin.org
* URL : http://grumpypenguin.org
* License : GPL
  Section : misc

It builds these binary packages:
k4dirstat - graphical disk usage display with cleanup facilities
kdirstat   - Transitional package

The package appears to be lintian clean.

My motivation for maintaining this package is:
I have been using kdirstat for several years and when it was removed from
Debian I did not found
any replacement, which satisfy me. IMHO, filelight presentation is not as clear
as kdirstat one.
As kdirstat is now KDE4 compatible I wish to have it again in Debian. Note that
Fedora as already
packaged it.

The package can be found on mentors.debian.net:
- URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/k/k4dirstat
- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable main
contrib non-free
- dget
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/k/k4dirstat/k4dirstat_2.7.0~git20101011-1.dsc

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.

Kind regards
 Jerome Robert

Bug#628492: gdevilspie: pyGTK is not correctly installed, exiting

2011-05-29 Thread Jerome Robert
Package: gdevilspie
Version: 1:0.5-1
Severity: normal

I get the following error message when running gdevilspie:
pyGTK is not correctly installed, exiting.

After fixing it by installing python-glade2 I get this message:
Make sure that Python-xdg is correctly installed if you need autostart
handling.

So it looks like gdevilspie should:
- depends on python-glade2
- recommend python-xdg

Bug#613816: apt-cacher-ng: Missing Cache-Control settings

2011-02-17 Thread Jerome Robert
Package: apt-cacher-ng
Version: 0.5.1-3
Severity: normal
Tags: upstream

I'm using apt-cacher-ng behind a corporate proxy. When I run apt-get update
on a client machine I get random errors like the following:

W: Failed to fetch
http://apt-cacher-ng-host:3142/debian/dists/testing/main/binary-amd64/Packages.bz2

Hash Sum mismatch
W: Failed to fetch
http://apt-cacher-ng-host:3142/debian/dists/unstable/non-free/binary-amd64/Packages.bz2
  Hash Sum mismatch

This is because the apt-cacher-ng cache contains incoherent files. For example
a Release file of the day and a Release.gpg file of the day before. If I use
apt-get through my corporate proxy, without apt-cacher-ng everything is ok.

I compared apt-cacher-ng and direct apt-get HTTP traffic and found that
apt-cacher-ng
miss a Cache-Control field in each HTTP headers.

I made the following changes in the source:

Bug#582532: python-openturns must be depend on python-rpy2

2010-05-21 Thread Jerome Robert
Package: python-openturns
Version: 0.13.2-2
Severity: normal

Since version 0.13.2, OpenTURNS must be linked with python-rpy2 instead of
python-rpy.
In the file python/configure.ac, the python package rpy2 is specified as an
optional dependency.

The package python-rpy2 is used to quickly display some graphs. It can be
tested with this small script:

from openturns import *
a=Normal(0., 1.)
Show(a.drawPDF())

This script does not work with python-rpy, but it works when python-rpy2 is
installed.

Bug#578413: not find the main class: com.eteks.sweethome3d.SweetHome3D.

2010-04-24 Thread Jerome Robert
I confirm the JAVA3D warning is harmless. I have it with all Java3D
application running with ATI hardware.

This is a localization problem.

The exception stack shows that resource icon#1 cannot be found. The source file
com/eteks/sweethome3d/io/DefaultFurnitureCatalog.properties tell that icon#1 is
/com/eteks/sweethome3d/io/resources/bed140x190.png. I guess that
com/eteks/sweethome3d/io/DefaultFurnitureCatalog_fr.properties (or any other
langage) should also contains icon#1.

A workaround is to run:
LANG= sweethome3d

Jerome

Bug#524117: gnome-panel: Freeze when 8 windows are open when the panel is vertical

2009-04-14 Thread Jerome Robert
Package: gnome-panel
Version: 2.24.3-1
Severity: normal
Tags: patch

How to reproduce that bug :

1. Right clic on the default ubuntu bottom panel and click on properties
2. Change Bottom to Right and increase the size to 30 pixels or more ( icons
must appear in the windows list in the gnome-panel when the panel is in the
right of the screen )
3. Once the panel is at right, open 8 windows.

Result : Gnome panel is now completely freeze, except the notification area.

This is copy/past from this Ubuntu bug:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-panel/+bug/187540

The upstream bug report:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=513347

It contains a patch from Marek Paska which fix the bugi (at least for me):
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/attachment.cgi?id=113638

Vincent Untz explain why the patch is rejected. From him the right way to fix
this bug is to fix an other bug which as been submited in 2002.
May be using the Marek Paska patch in the Debian package would be a temporary
and pragmatic solution.

Bug#506005: openturns: New upstream release available (0.12.2)

2008-11-17 Thread Jerome Robert
Package: openturns
Version: 0.12.1-6
Severity: wishlist

A new release of openturns is available. Concerning packaging there are 2 bigs
changes (see attached patch):
- there is no longer any dependancies on boost (so may be
-DBOOST_SP_USE_PTHREADS won't be required anymore).
- the wrapper architecture has changed so some *.install files has to be
updated.

The version of rotPackage has been increased but diff says that there is no
changes, so there is no reason to change the content of debian/rotRPackage.

Regards,

Jerome

https://trac.openturns.org/tags/openturns-0.12.1/utils/rotRPackage/

I've reported this upstream:
http://trac.openturns.org/ticket/143

Bug#500872: [Pkg-scicomp-devel] Bug#500872: python-openturns: Missing r-rot package

2008-10-02 Thread Jerome Robert
It is not unusable but many (if not all) of the statistical functions used
for tests, fittings and so on are the one developed in R. No realistic
studies can be performed without such features. All what can be done in
openturns without r-rot are trivial things suitable for small demos.

Jerome and Jayant

 I am not (yet) familiar with openturns, sorry if I ask trivial questions

Bug#499673: openturns-doc: gzipped pdf

2008-09-21 Thread Jerome Robert
Package: openturns-doc
Version: 0.12.1-3
Severity: wishlist

*** Please type your report below this line ***

Unless I missed something here is how to open the openturns documentation:

$ cp /usr/share/doc/openturns-doc/OpenTURNS_ReferenceGuide.pdf.gz /tmp/
$ gunzip /tmp/OpenTURNS_ReferenceGuide.pdf.gz
$ epdfview /tmp/OpenTURNS_ReferenceGuide.pdf

So it would be nice if pdf file would not be gzipped.

Bug#473063: gajim should recommend libffi4 for systray support

2008-04-08 Thread Jerome Robert
severity 473063 normal
thanks

This bug has now reached lenny.

Python-gobject now depends on libffi5 but gajim is still built with libffi4.
May be rebuilding gajim with libffi5 would avoid to add a dependency
recommendation.

Jerome

Bug#463120: libjsch-java: ant cannot find jsch

2008-01-29 Thread Jerome Robert
Package: libjsch-java
Version: 0.1.36-1
Severity: normal

*** Please type your report below this line ***

Even when the package libjsch-java is installed ant cannot find it (it's
required for the scp task). This is because ant task dependencies are search in
/usr/share/ant/lib and this directory doesn't contains any link to
/usr/share/java/jsch.jar. Other packages like libbcel-java and junit provide
such link so I guess it's should be the same for libjsch-java:

$ dpkg -L junit | grep /share/ant/lib/
/usr/share/ant/lib/junit.jar
$ dpkg -L libbcel-java | grep /share/ant/lib/
/usr/share/ant/lib/bcel.jar

My /usr/share/ant/lib/ after installing libjsch-java.jar:

$ ls -l /usr/share/ant/lib/ | grep ^l
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root  19 2007-11-09 10:03 bcel.jar - ../../java/bcel.jar
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root  20 2008-01-08 11:43 junit.jar -
../../java/junit.jar

What I needed to do to make aware of it:

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root  19 2008-01-29 17:32 jsch.jar - ../../java/jsch.jar

Bug#358580: fglrx successfully compiled with 2.6.16

2006-04-01 Thread Jerome Robert
I was wrong. I was trying to compile the fglrx-kernel-src from the ati web site,
not the one from the debian repository. The Makefile are different. I guess the
one from ati is not up to date.

I still get the seems to contain unconfigured kernel source warning.

Bug#358580: linux-2.6: cannot build modules against 2.6.16

I'am having similar problems (still with 2.6.16-4). I successfully built madwifi
but cannot build fglrx-8.23.7 (see below). I have no problems 2.6.15.

Richard, you said you were able to build fglrx. Did you make something special ?
I also tried without module-assistant, but cannot figure out why it is looking
for Makefile.lib.c file.
