Bug#976591: pdfarranger: Attached PDF
> It seems pdfarranger could not deal with it. That's a pity. Indeed. Even version 1.6.2 (the latest) cannot. May be 1.7.0 will (may be not). In the meantime you have to decrypt the pdf file with another tool (ex: qpdf), before importing it in pdfarranger. > So the bug is a combination of wrong LANG handling and missing feature, > I think. Yes there is a mismatch in the german translation but 1.1.1 is old so I (I'm the upstream) won't fix it.

Bug#792217: kdirstat: not installable in sid
kdirstat was a transitional package that I removed in 2.7.6-1 (one year ago). I guess that I should have set this kdirstat as an architecture specific package instead of arch all. Anyway now that it is gone, the only way to have this bug fixed is to have k4dirstat 3.0 built on hurd-i386. As writting those lines I can see that one blocker is kguiaddons which is building but failing in ctest. May be using the Marek Paska patch in the Debian package would be a temporary and pragmatic solution. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (900, 'unstable'), (800, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.29-1-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: lang=fr...@euro, lc_ctype=fr...@euro (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages gnome-panel depends on: ii gnome-about2.24.3-1 The GNOME about box ii gnome-control-center 1:2.24.0.1-2 utilities to configure the GNOME d ii gnome-desktop-data 2.24.3-1 Common files for GNOME 2 desktop a ii gnome-menus2.24.2-2 an implementation of the freedeskt ii gnome-panel-data 2.24.3-1 common files for the GNOME Panel ii libatk1.0-01.24.0-2 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libbonobo2-0 2.24.1-1 Bonobo CORBA interfaces library ii libbonoboui2-0 2.24.1-1 The Bonobo UI library ii libc6 2.9-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcairo2 1.8.6-2+b1The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libdbus-1-31.2.12-1 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.80-3simple interprocess messaging syst ii libecal1.2-7 2.24.5-4+b1 Client library for evolution calen ii libedataserver1.2-11 2.24.5-4+b1 Utility library for evolution data ii libedataserverui1.2-8 2.24.5-4+b1 GUI utility library for evolution ii libgconf2-42.24.0-7 GNOME configuration database syste ii libglade2-01:2.6.4-1 library to load .glade files at ru ii libglib2.0-0 2.20.1-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgnome-desktop-2 2.22.3-2 Utility library for loading .deskt ii libgnome-menu2 2.24.2-2 an implementation of the freedeskt ii libgnome2-02.24.1-2 The GNOME 2 library - runtime file ii libgnomeui-0 2.24.1-1 The GNOME 2 libraries (User Interf ii libgtk2.0-02.14.7-5 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libgweather1 2.24.3-1 GWeather shared library ii liborbit2 1:2.14.17-0.1 libraries for ORBit2 - a CORBA ORB ii libpanel-applet2-0 2.24.3-1 library for GNOME Panel applets ii libpango1.0-0 1.24.0-3 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libpolkit-dbus20.9-3 library for accessing PolicyKit vi ii libpolkit2 0.9-3 library for accessing PolicyKit ii librsvg2-2 2.22.3-2 SAX-based renderer library for SVG ii libwnck22 2.24.2-2 Window Navigator Construction Kit ii libx11-6 2:1.2.1-1 X11 client-side library ii libxau61:1.0.4-2 X11 authorisation library ii menu-xdg 0.4 freedesktop.org menu compliant win Versions of packages gnome-panel recommends: pn alacarte none (no description available) pn evolution-data-server none (no description available) ii gnome-applets 2.24.3.1-2 Various applets for GNOME 2 panel ii gnome-icon-theme 2.24.0-4 GNOME Desktop icon theme ii gnome-session 2.22.3-3 The GNOME 2 Session Manager ii gvfs 1.0.3-3userspace virtual filesystem - ser pn policykit-gnome none (no description available) Versions of packages gnome-panel suggests: pn epiphany-browser none(no description available) pn evolution none(no description available) ii gdm2.20.9-1 GNOME Display Manager ii gnome-session 2.22.3-3 The GNOME 2 Session Manager pn gnome-system-tools none(no description available) ii gnome-terminal [x-term 2.24.3-3 The GNOME

Bug#506005: openturns: New upstream release available (0.12.2)
Package: openturns Version: 0.12.1-6 Severity: wishlist A new release of openturns is available. Concerning packaging there are 2 bigs changes (see attached patch): - there is no longer any dependancies on boost (so may be -DBOOST_SP_USE_PTHREADS won't be required anymore). - the wrapper architecture has changed so some *.install files has to be updated. The version of rotPackage has been increased but diff says that there is no changes, so there is no reason to change the content of debian/rotRPackage. It is not unusable but many (if not all) of the statistical functions used for tests, fittings and so on are the one developed in R. No realistic studies can be performed without such features. All what can be done in openturns without r-rot are trivial things suitable for small demos. Other packages like libbcel-java and junit provide such link so I guess it's should be the same for libjsch-java: $ dpkg -L junit | grep /share/ant/lib/ /usr/share/ant/lib/junit.jar $ dpkg -L libbcel-java | grep /share/ant/lib/ /usr/share/ant/lib/bcel.jar My /usr/share/ant/lib/ after installing libjsch-java.jar: $ ls -l /usr/share/ant/lib/ | grep ^l lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 19 2007-11-09 10:03 bcel.jar - ../../java/bcel.jar lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 20 2008-01-08 11:43 junit.jar - ../../java/junit.jar What I needed to do to make aware of it: lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 19 2008-01-29 17:32 jsch.jar - ../../java/jsch.jar -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (300, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.22-2-686 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages libjsch-java depends on: ii gij-4.2 [java-virtual-machine 4.2.1-5The GNU Java bytecode interpreter ii java-gcj-compat 1.0.76-5 Java runtime environment using GIJ ii sun-java5-jre [java-virtual-m 1.5.0-13-1 Sun Java(TM) Runtime Environment ( ii sun-java6-jre [java-virtual-m 6-00-2 Sun Java(TM) Runtime Environment ( libjsch-java recommends no packages. -- no debconf information

Bug#358580: fglrx successfully compiled with 2.6.16
I was wrong. I was trying to compile the fglrx-kernel-src from the ati web site, not the one from the debian repository. The Makefile are different. I guess the one from ati is not up to date. I still get the seems to contain unconfigured kernel source warning. Regards, Jerome
Bug#358580: linux-2.6: cannot build modules against 2.6.16
I'am having similar problems (still with 2.6.16-4). I successfully built madwifi but cannot build fglrx-8.23.7 (see below). I have no problems 2.6.15. Richard, you said you were able to build fglrx. Did you make something special ? I also tried without module-assistant, but cannot figure out why it is looking for Makefile.lib.c file. sudo module-assistant -t build fglrx Warning, /usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.16-1 seems to contain unconfigured kernel source! Extracting the package tarball, /usr/src/fglrx.tar.bz2, please wait... dh_testroot . dh_testdir /usr/bin/make -C /usr/src/linux SUBDIRS=/usr/src/modules/fglrx modules CC scripts/Makefile.lib.o gcc: scripts/Makefile.lib.c: No such file or directory gcc: no input files make[2]: *** [scripts/Makefile.lib.o] Error 1 make[1]: *** [_module_/usr/src/modules/fglrx] Error 2 make: *** [build] Error 2 BUILD FAILED! -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16-1-686 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15)
Bug#348711: workaround
Here is a workaround: http://www.linuxvar.it/index.php/ATI_e_Kernel_2.6.15 And the package: http://xrunhprof.free.fr/debian/fglrx-kernel-src_8.21.7-1jerome_i386.deb Regards, Jerome
