Ok I was wrong here. It also doesn't work with that g-s-d version. I just tested gnome-control-center 1:2.22.2.1-2 from testing and everything works fine there. Ok this is _also_ wrong. Turned out that restarting the xserver is not enough to make this bug re-appear. If downgrading g-s-d and gnome-control center doesn't help, then what else could be responsible for this problem?

Bug#516941: mpd: unable to bind port
2009/2/24 Max Kellermann m...@duempel.org On 2009/02/24 17:55, Julien Langer julien.lan...@googlemail.com wrote: Here it is. I'm also attaching a strace of mpd 0.13, which still works fine. If you have only one, then your system resolved has returned 127.0.0.1 twice (I cannot see that in the trace). localhost indeed resolves twice on my system. After removing the localhost entry from my /etc/hosts it only resolves once and mpd works. How does my system still resolve localhost if it's not in /etc/hosts? Any ideas? It seems like this behaviour was introduced by some other package upgrade since mpd 0.14 worked fine just a few days ago. MPD 0.13 ignored all secondary addresses of a host, which was incorrect. Max

The rest looks like MPD succeeds in playing a song, I see no problem. Try uncommenting the format line and see what happens. Maybe your card can't cope with 24 bit although the driver claims it can. Bug#489487: totem-gstreamer: red and blue colors swapped
Package: totem-gstreamer Version: 2.22.2-3 Severity: important Hi, totem-gstreamer always swaps red and blue colors, no matter what type of video I play. Bug#444601: xserver-xorg-input-mouse: XF86DGADirectMouse mouse button mapping not working, no mouse wheel in some games
Hi, has anyone found a workaround for this bug? This is still holding me back from upgrading my xserver.
Bug#444601: xserver-xorg-input-mouse: XF86DGADirectMouse mouse button mapping not working, no mouse wheel in some games
Hi, well I just upgraded my xserver-xorg-core to 1.4.2 and it works again. I guess that nvidia-glx should depend on xserver-xorg-core = 1.4.0 or something like that.

Bug#425742: Info received (Bug#425742: gnome-session: completely breaks desktop)
I finally discovered what was causing this. A custom splash screen that I had installed years ago... I didn't even knew anymore that it was a custom splash screen :) The strange thing is that gnome-session displays that image but than freezes. And the old gnome-session version works fine with this image. Maybe the file is corrupt though it displays fine in nautilus and eog. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
