Before we fill the request using the guidelines in:

http://www.debian.org/MailingLists/HOWTO_start_list

some consensus have to be made. There is an active and long discussion
about the portuguese language, the one spoken in Portugal and the one
spoken in Brazil.

What probably will be suggested is that the current
debian-l10n-portuguese is transfered to the european translators and a
new brazilian one is created (possible debian-l10n-brazillian). We
don't know yet what will be the consensus.

If possible keep this bug open as we develop more information, i'll
keep in touch.

If you care you can read a more or less resumed discussion about it in:

http://lists.debian.org/debian-i18n/2006/04/msg00220.html

Thanks a lot
Marco

Bug#362165: Request for a debian-l10n-european-portuguese mailing list

2006-04-12 Thread Marco Ferra
Package: lists.debian.org
Version: unavailable; reported on 2006-04-12
Severity: normal

In the name of the European Portugese Team I ask for a mailing list
for the European Portuguese translation efforts. The name
debian-l10n-european-portuguese seems good but there may be other
suggestions. I don't know exactly how the system of pseudo-urls for
the translators work (nor on what criteria the list is created) but I
think (if) the mailing list is created, this system is automatically
implemented.

There is (or has been) a large discussion for this, because of the
historic debian-l10n-portuguese (used by brazilian translators), but I
think our efforts deserve a list of it's own.

Please advice.

Sincere regards
Marco

Bug#341708: /usr/share/man/man1/x-terminal-emulator.1.gz is a dangling symlink

2005-12-02 Thread Marco Ferra
Package: anacron
Version: 2.3-11

Probably it's not anacron the source of this problem but:

/etc/cron.daily/man-db:
mandb: warning: /usr/share/man/man1/x-terminal-emulator.1.gz is a
dangling symlink

The error:

OK:

/usr/share/man/man1/x-terminal-emulator.1.gz ->
/etc/alternatives/x-terminal-emulator.1.gz

ERROR:

/etc/alternatives/x-terminal-emulator.1.gz ->
/usr/X11R6/man/man1/lxterm.1.gz

/usr/X11R6/man/man1/lxterm.1.gz doesn't exist but
/usr/X11R6/man/man1/lxterm.1x.gz does.

I have manually updated the symlink. Maybe something has changed in
some package and it should be updated.

Sincere regards
Marco
