Bug#914511: Please enable the "virtio-rng" driver in "cloud" kernels
Package: linux-image-cloud-amd64 Version: 4.18+99 The "HW_RANDOM_VIRTIO" configuration setting is not currently enabled in the "cloud" flavour of kernel images. KVM virtual machines set up by virt-manager (and possibly virt-install, I'm not sure) come with a virtual random device like that by default, and would benefit from the driver being available if they need a lot of randomness.
Bug#801708: cinnamon: Multimedia keys (play, pause, etc.) do not work
Package: cinnamon Version: 2.6.13-1 Severity: normal The "play/pause" key on my keyboard sends the "AudioPlay" key when using X. This is detected when I configure hotkey bindings in the Cinnamon control panel. However, my music players don't play/pause their music when I press this button. If I change the keybinding to Ctrl+AudioPlay (or shift, or any other modifier or combination of modifiers), it works as expected: music starts and stops on the press of the "Play/Pause" button. Strangely, the "volume" keys (volume up, volume down, mute) are not affected. -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers testing-updates APT policy: (500, 'testing-updates'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.2.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=nl_NL.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=nl_NL.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages cinnamon depends on: ii caribou 0.4.18.1-1 ii cinnamon-common 2.6.13-1 ii cinnamon-control-center 2.6.0-2 ii cinnamon-desktop-data2.6.5-1 ii cinnamon-screensaver 2.6.4-2 ii cinnamon-session 2.6.3-2 ii cinnamon-settings-daemon 2.6.3-2 ii cjs 2.6.2-1 ii cups-pk-helper 0.2.5-2+b1 ii dconf-gsettings-backend [gsettings-backend] 0.24.0-2 ii gir1.2-accountsservice-1.0 0.6.40-3 ii gir1.2-caribou-1.0 0.4.18.1-1 ii gir1.2-clutter-1.0 1.24.0-1 ii gir1.2-cmenu-3.0 2.6.0-2 ii gir1.2-cogl-1.0 1.22.0-1 ii gir1.2-gconf-2.0 3.2.6-3 ii gir1.2-gdkpixbuf-2.0 2.32.0-1 ii gir1.2-gkbd-3.0 3.6.0-1 ii gir1.2-glib-2.0 1.44.0-1+b2 ii gir1.2-gnomedesktop-3.0 3.16.2-2 ii gir1.2-gtk-3.0 3.16.6-1 ii gir1.2-gtkclutter-1.01.6.4-1 ii gir1.2-javascriptcoregtk-3.0 2.4.9-2+b1 ii gir1.2-keybinder-3.0 0.3.0-1 ii gir1.2-meta-muffin-0.0 2.6.1-3 ii gir1.2-networkmanager-1.01.0.6-1 ii gir1.2-notify-0.70.7.6-2 ii gir1.2-pango-1.0 1.38.0-3 ii gir1.2-polkit-1.00.105-12 ii gir1.2-soup-2.4 2.52.0-1 ii gir1.2-upowerglib-1.00.99.3-1+b2 ii gir1.2-webkit-3.02.4.9-2+b1 ii gkbd-capplet 3.6.0-1 ii gnome-backgrounds3.16.0-1 ii gnome-icon-theme-symbolic3.12.0-1 ii gnome-themes-standard3.18.0-1 ii gsettings-desktop-schemas3.18.0-1 ii libatk-bridge2.0-0 2.18.0-1 ii libatk1.0-0 2.18.0-1 ii libc62.19-22 ii libcairo21.14.2-2 ii libcinnamon-menu-3-0 2.6.0-2 ii libcjs0 2.6.2-1 ii libclutter-1.0-0 1.24.0-1 ii libcogl-pango20 1.22.0-1 ii libcogl-path20 1.22.0-1 ii libcogl201.22.0-1 ii libcroco30.6.8-3+b1 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.32.0-1 ii libgirepository-1.0-11.44.0-1+b2 ii libgl1-mesa-glx [libgl1] 10.6.8-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.46.0-2 ii libglib2.0-bin 2.46.0-2 ii libgstreamer1.0-01.6.0-1 ii libgtk-3-0 3.16.6-1 ii libjs-jquery 1.11.3+dfsg-4 ii libmozjs-24-024.2.0-3 ii libmuffin0 2.6.1-3 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.38.0-3 ii libpangocairo-1.0-0 1.38.0-3 ii libpulse-mainloop-glib0 7.0-1 ii libpulse07.0-1 ii libstartup-notification0 0.12-4 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.3-1 ii libxfixes3 1:5.0.1-2+b2 ii libxml2 2.9.2+zdfsg1-4 ii mesa-utils 8.2.0-1 ii nemo 2.6.7-1 ii policykit-1-gnome
Bug#103479: Conversion of ADPCM .voc files fails
On Sat, 07 Jul 2007, Pascal Giard wrote: Hello Martijn, I'd like to see sox support for the 2, 2.6 and 4-bit ADPCM .VOC file formats (I have a few files to convert). Are you able to provide either of these? : - a pointer to code implementing it that is license-compatible with SoX; - a pointer to specs. The SoundBlaster emulator in Dosbox is able to play these files properly. I don't know the SoX license, but Dosbox is GPLv2 or (at your option) any later version Martijn -- Sorry isn't an excuse when you do something stupid on purpose. signature.asc Description: Digital signature
Bug#103479: Conversion of ADPCM .voc files fails
On Fri, 23 Feb 2007, Pascal Giard wrote: Hi Martijn, could you please provide sample files? They're in a DOS game package (shareware), so I don't think I can attach the file (copyrights..). But you can extract it yourself from the package: http://www.dosgamesarchive.com/download/game/204 contains 'boomboom.voc' which isn't supported. Ths 'dosbox' package does seem to have a way of playing these files, as they do get played if you play the game in dosbox. Bug#304155: libmailtools-perl: Mail::Field manpage refers to Mail::Head where it means Mail::Header
Package: libmailtools-perl Version: 1.62-1 Severity: minor The manual page for Mail::Field says: extract ( TAG, HEAD [, INDEX ] ) This constuctor takes as arguments the tag name, a Mail::Head object and optionally an index. If the index argument is given then extract will retrieve the given tag from the Mail::Head object and create a new Mail::Field based object. undef will be returned in the field does not exist. However, there is no such module as Mail::Head, only a Mail::Header. Using Mail::Header objects here works fine. Bug#295375: gpsd: Please split libgps into separate packages
Package: gpsd Severity: wishlist Currently I have to install a gpsd locally to compile programs that can contact a remote GPSd server. It would also allow linking to libgps without depending on an installed gpsd (i.e. offer gps-functions as an /option/ in programs). Having libgps as separate packages would be very nice for all this. This is also true for the python library that's included (it would also make 'apt-cache search python gps' work -- I re-did most of the work because I thought it didn't exist yet) -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (750, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.10 Locale: LANG=nl_NL.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=nl_NL.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe.
