It's a feature, not a bug :) In order to be able to make check_disk /var/log work even if /var/log physically resides in /var, check_disk tries to be clever (and thus tries to find the free diskspace in /dev if you ask it for /dev/hda1) (yes, I know it's a bug nevertheless :) Workaround: Provide the -E parameter, e.g. check_disk -E /dev/hda1 hth, -- Martin Schuster [EMAIL PROTECTED] CenterPoint http://www.centerpoint.eu.com/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#382711: status=0x37 with a Maxtor drive
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Phil Blundell wrote: Hi Martin Hi Phil Thanks for your quick and detailed reply! I tried swapping the nVidia controller for an ALi one on a PCI card, and swapping the motherboard for a different one (also with an ALi chipset). None of these things really seemed to help. If I connected one drive to the ALi controller and one drive to the nVidia controller then things were better but still pretty bad. After that I replaced the two Maxtor drives with a pair of Seagates. This seemed to improve the situation somewhat but it was still pretty flaky okay, so it was neither the controller, nor the drives. But the strange thing is that I have an SCSI-Controller with two SCSI-drives in the same machine, also running RAID1, and they don't have those problems; so maybe a SATA-RAID1 problem? Bug#373159: amavisd-new: Overzealous Windows CLSID regexp

As far as I can find out in the Web, we really should be matching only {----} - where x is any alphanumeric character. Maybe without the last bracket. That would be more than specific enough that I wouldn't care for anyone hitting a false positive :P Ok, according to the responsible company: CLSID [...] refer[s] to a 128-bit integer with a low statistical likelihood of being duplicated so that it can be used as a unique identifier across computers and networks. Typically, this identifier is represented either as a 16-member array of bytes or as a specially formatted string of hexadecimal digits (where the characters a-f, or A-F, represent the decimal numbers 10-15). This string representation consists of either 32 contiguous hexadecimal digits or of groups of 8, 4, 4, 4, and 12 hexadecimal digits, separated by hyphens. The hyphenated string representation optionally can be enclosed in parentheses or braces ({}). -- http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft.aspnet.snapin.clsid.aspx So I guess we need sth. like \{[0-9a-f]{8}(-[0-9a-f]{4}){3}-[0-9a-f]{12}\} -- Martin Schuster [EMAIL PROTECTED] CenterPoint http://www.centerpoint.eu.com/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. I cannot reproduce this here, amavisd-new 2.4.1 (same regexp). How did you try to reproduce this? I found that error because of an email with an attachment with filename {there was some text} - and some more text.ics which got blocked. Also, you can test this easily by calling perl -ne 'print ouch\n if (/\{[0-9a-z]{4,}(-[0-9a-z]{4,}){0,7}\}?/i);' and then type some filenames you want to test. Also, that last ? will apply only to the preceding '}' character anyway. Which creates a problem, because in {something foo bar} ^^ this part is enough to match, i.e. the regexp right now works exactly as if it just was \{[0-9a-z]{4,} because the rest is (...){0,7}\}? which matches an empty string You can verify this with the above perl-command, try to input {Something and it will print ouch. (without the question mark, it will still match {SomeCharactersWithoutSpacesOrStuff} which is also bad, now that I think about it...) Bug#299608: php4-mysql: confirmation of bug, with phpmyadmin

Perhaps what you are seeing is another bug that looks like this one (say, a clash between two apache modules linked with different mysql libs, resulting in segfaults?) If you could test both from the command-line and via apache (or wherever it is you're seeing the bug), that would be great. Also, make sure you've restarted apache (or whatever) after the php4/php4-mysql upgrade. Got the segfault via apache, but not on the commandline. We run apache2 in a chroot, so right now I'm checking all differences to the real / again (only /etc and /var differ, but I'll look into every file again...) Right now I'm quite busy though, visiting all parts of the family for easter, so I'll report back maybeo Monday or Tuesday. Bug#285256: mylast: Should have Read The Fine FAQ
The FAQ at http://nostatic.org/grip/doc/ar01s05.html says: Q: The progress bar doesn't seem to be completely accurate when encoding. Why can't it get it right? A: The progress bar is done based on the size of the output file. If you have the kbits/sec set properly, Grip should estimate the size properly. Note that if you use variable bitrate encoding (supported by encoders like LAME and xing) Grip has no way to accurately guess the file size. And that explains it; I use lame ... -V %b ... as encoding command, and then use e.g. 5 as bitrate *cough* I guess the problem with FLAC is the same; more info, Aaron? -- +--* .-. |Martin SchusterMicrosoft is not the answer /v\ |[EMAIL PROTECTED] www.tabr.orgMicrosoft is the question // \\ | [EMAIL PROTECTED] ICQ# 2057Linux! is the answer /( )\ +--*^^-^^ signature.asc Description: Digital signature

I use LAME 3.96.1 as encoder and have exactly the same problem: Encoding-speed is shown as about 50x (on a Duron 700 *gg*), progress-bar reaches 100% in no time...
