Bug#996818: bluefish: jsbeautify is missing
Package: bluefish Version: 2.2.12-1.1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, I tried to use the "JavaScript beautifier" option, and bluefish complained that /usr/share/bluefish/jsbeautify can not be found. I checked, and it is indeed the case. I _suspect_ that this may be a packaging error, as packages.debian.org search indicates /usr/share/bluefish/jsbeautify to be in bluefish-data in Bullseye (as it should be: it is architecture-independent), but it is not there. Meanwhile, the /usr/share/bluefish/jsbeautifier/ directory and the files in it seem to be in the bluefish package (they were in the bluefish-data package before in Buster). Unpacking /usr/share/bluefish/jsbeautify from the bluefish-data .deb package from Buster, and fixing the shebang to /usr/bin/python3 fixed the problem for me, so this is a working workaround for now. -- System Information: Debian Release: 11.1 APT prefers stable APT policy: (700, 'stable'), (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'oldoldstable'), (500, 'oldstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-8-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads) Locale: LANG=hu_HU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=hu_HU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages bluefish depends on: ii bluefish-data2.2.12-1.1 ii bluefish-plugins 2.2.12-1.1 ii gvfs-backends1.46.2-1 ii libc62.31-13+deb11u2 ii libcairo21.16.0-5 ii libenchant-2-2 2.2.15-1 ii libgdk-pixbuf-2.0-0 2.42.2+dfsg-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.66.8-1 ii libgtk-3-0 3.24.24-4 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.46.2-3 ii libpangocairo-1.0-0 1.46.2-3 ii libxml2 2.9.10+dfsg-6.7 ii python3 3.9.2-3 bluefish recommends no packages. Bug#934573: workaround for bug #934573
I've found a way to disable this message: in PCManFM in the Edit menu, choose Preferences, and select "Don't ask options on launch executable file". Whether this should be the default or not is up for debate, but personally I found the current default annoying, and the setting is not very easy to find (alas, I found this bug report while searching for it).
Bug#754077: fprintd: Can only register right index finger
Package: fprintd Version: 0.4.1-5-g73edad0-3 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, fprintd-enroll refuses take the -f option into account, so only the right index finger can be scanned. Example run: $ fprintd-enroll -f right-middle-finger Using device /net/reactivated/Fprint/Device/0 Enrolling right index finger. The man page seems also inconsistent, as it does not list the -f argument in the SYNOPSYS section for fprintd-enrool, but it specifically mentions fprintd-enroll at the description of the -f argument. There may be a fix for this upstream, I think this is a pretty serious issue, if you really want to use fprintd for authentication, so in case of an upstream fix, a backport seems a viable option. -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.5 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.14-0.bpo.1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages fprintd depends on: ii dbus 1.6.8-1+deb7u3 ii libc6 2.13-38+deb7u1 ii libdbus-1-31.6.8-1+deb7u3 ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.100.2-1 ii libfprint0 1:0.4.0-4-gdfff16f-4 ii libglib2.0-0 2.33.12+really2.32.4-5 ii libpolkit-gobject-1-0 0.105-3 ii policykit-10.105-3 fprintd recommends no packages. fprintd suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe.
