Bug#536080: gchempaint starts with segmentation fault when iceweasel is not opened parallel

2009-07-07 Thread Roland Wolters
Package: gchempaint
Version: 0.8.7-2+b1
Severity: important

gchempaint crashes when started:
$ gchempaint

(process:8349): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: /build/buildd-glib2.0_2.16.6-2-i386-
PgybGk/glib2.0-2.16.6/gobject/gtype.c:2248: initialization assertion failed,
use IA__g_type_init() prior to this function

(process:8349): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_new: assertion
`G_TYPE_IS_OBJECT (object_type)' failed

(process:8349): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_ref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT
(object)' failed
Segmentation fault

The only way to avoid this is to start iceweasel before gchempaint is started.
With an open iceweasel gchempaint starts without a problem. If Iceweasel is
closed again, gchempaint crashes again and is unusable.

Bug#507871: chkpwd tested

2008-12-08 Thread Roland Wolters
Hi tehre

I also tested
http://www.citadel.org/doku.php/faq:troubleshooting:tracking_citadel?s=chkpwd
and all test users I set up were working:

# /usr/lib/citadel-server/chkpw
** host auth mode test utility **
Starting chkpwd daemon for host authentication mode

Username: credativ
 uid: 1000
Password: credativ
pass

Username: testuser
 uid: 1001
Password: credativ
pass

Username: credtest
 uid: 1002
Password: credativ

In this example, only the first user can be used to log into the citadel
webservice. All users are not found.

Bug#507871: Real names necessary

2008-12-08 Thread Roland Wolters
Further tests have shown that the problem indeed only comes up when the real
name is missing. If new users are created which have real names than the login
works.

So the problem ahs a work around. It must be checked with upstream if this
behaviour is in fact wanted, the bug could be closed if that is wanted anway.

Regards,

Roland

Bug#508167: citadel-server: cannot set ical sgi value

2008-12-08 Thread Roland Wolters
Package: citadel-server
Version: 7.37-7
Severity: important

In Citadel ical messages cannot be activated since the necessary value
cannot be changed:
Accordong to the documentation the value can be queried via the ICAL SGI
command. This works for example when connected via
telnet and logged in as root (the admin account in this case). The value is
given as zero.

However, it cannot be changed with
set ical sgi 1

The error message is:
$ telnet localhost 504

It is necessary to change this value to enable the server to send out

Bug#508171: citadel-server: cannot read LDAP entries

2008-12-08 Thread Roland Wolters
Package: citadel-server
Version: 7.37-7
Severity: important

The current LDAP connector for citadel can only write address book
entries. It cannot read them. This is due to the fact that the connector
is still in development, so upstream is well aware of this situation.
However, it is not explicitly stated anyway, only implicit.

Bug#508172: citadel-webcit: calendar entry collisions are not highlighted

2008-12-08 Thread Roland Wolters
Package: citadel-webcit
Version: 7.37-dfsg-6
Severity: normal

Webcit does not support any kind of collision highlighting for calendar
entries. For example, if user A creates a calendar
entry for a given tim and afterwards creates another entry which overlaps with
this time, there is no warning at all given.
Another example is when user B creates an entry for A in a public calendar and
afterwards A creates an entry which overlaps
with that entry, there is no warning issued. This should however happen, and
it is a rather typical function of most other
groupware servers.

Bug#507871: citadel-webcit: does not authenticate against system users although configured to do that

2008-12-05 Thread Roland Wolters
Package: citadel-webcit
Version: 7.37-dfsg-6
Severity: important

citadel was configured to authenticate against the system /etc/passwd).
However, it does so only for one user on the system
(the first user created during the debian installation), not for any other
user added after the debian set up.
webcit always says user not found.
