Bug#986150: dnsmasq-base: Bugs in manpage

2021-03-30 Thread Sven Dreyer
Package: dnsmasq-base
Version: 2.80-1+deb10u1
Severity: minor

Dear Maintainer,

the manpage of dnsmasq has two bugs:

--min-port=
[..]the ports used will always to larger[..]
==> Replace "to" with "be".

-S, --local,
--server=[/[]/[domain/]][[#][@|[#]]
==> The number of parentheses is unbalanced, one closing paranthesis is missing
here. I have no idea where it should be inserted.

Bug#970435: debmirror: manpage of debmirror contains wrong example

2020-09-16 Thread Sven Dreyer
Package: debmirror
Version: 1:2.32
Severity: minor

Dear Maintainer,

the manpage of debmirror contains examples of how to call debmirror.

For one of the examples, the explanation does not match the example code:

Make a mirror of i386 and sparc binaries, main only, and include both unstable
and testing versions of Debian; download from 'ftp.kernel.org':

  debmirror -a i386,sparc -d sid -d etch -s main --nosource \
-h ftp.nl.debian.org --progress $HOME/mirror/debian

The explanation says that download starts from ftp.kernel.org, but the example
downloads from ftp.nl.debian.org.

Either the example or the explanation needs to be corrected.

Thanks!

Bug#871708: guacamole: German "umlauts" missing in translation

2017-08-10 Thread Sven Dreyer
Package: guacamole
Version: 0.9.9+dfsg-1
Severity: minor
Tags: l10n

Dear Maintainer,

I wonder why the german translation of guacamole omits all umlauts (ä,ö,ü and
the like).

It seems to be some encoding issue while building the package, because the
problem does not occur in the upstream file.

In you diff the upstream file
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/glyptodon/guacamole-client/0.9.9/guacamole/src/main/webapp/translations/de.json
with the file from the Debian package
/usr/share/guacamole/guacamole/translations/de.json
you see that they are identical, apart from all umlauts being replaced by "??".

Thanks,
Sven

Bug#791765: guacd segfaults when trying to start a RDP session

2015-07-08 Thread Sven Dreyer

Version: 0.8.3-1+b2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

when trying to start a RDP session, guacd crashes with the following segfault:
guacd[pid]: segfault at 0 ip (null) sp error 14 in
guacd[40+5000]

* What led up to the situation?

I tried to connect to a RDP session.

* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
  ineffective)?

I added a minimal RDP configuration in an already existing (and working)
authorize-Block:
connection name=Windows-Box
protocolrdp/protocol
param name=hostname192.168.1.200/param
/connection

Then I restarted guacd.

* What was the outcome of this action?

On the screen:
Connected, waiting for first update..., then
Connection closed
In syslog:
guacd[pid]: segfault at 0 ip (null) sp error 14 in
guacd[40+5000]

I have 2 amd64 machines. The hardware is completely different, but both show
this behaviour.

gdb shows this:

Bug#763425: prads seems to be started twice by initscript

2014-09-30 Thread Sven Dreyer
Package: prads
Version: 0.3.0-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

it seems that the prads initscript is started twice.

The first start call throws some log information to the console, and
sucessfully starts prads. The second start call fails (because prads is already
running).

Steps I did:
- Installed (via netinstall) a fresh Debian stable system (amd64)
- Installed the prads package
- Added --noclear to the tty inittab entry to be able to scroll back in the
output (yes, I know that bootlogd could have helped me)
- rebooted the system

What I would expect:
- That prads get only started once

Thanks!
Sven

Bug#707116: live-build: httpfs2 support broken

2013-05-07 Thread Sven Dreyer
Package: live-build
Version: 3.0.5-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

it seems that support for httpfs2 is broken in wheezy's live-build.

* What led up to the situation?

In squeeze's version of live-build, it was possible to use a root filesystem
located on a HTTP webserver which was accessed using httpfs2. This does not
work any more with wheezy.

* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)?

$ lb config \
--apt apt \
--apt-indices false \
--apt-recommends false \
--architectures i386 \
--archive-areas main non-free \
--binary-images tar \
--debootstrap-options --variant=minbase \
--distribution stable \
--firmware-chroot false \
--initramfs live-boot \
--initramfs-compression lzma \
--linux-flavours 486 \
--memtest none

$ echo httpfs2 config/package-lists/my.list.chroot

$ lb build

Then I copied the resulting
binary/live/{initrd.img*,vmlinuz*,filesystem.squashfs} to a local webserver,
renamed filesystem.squashfs to rootfs.squashfs and booted using iPXE. The
kernel append line contains httpfs=http://192.168.1.1/rootfs.squashfs;

* What was the outcome of this action?

Kernel and initrd get loaded, kernel boots and prints This Debian Live image
failed to boot.

/boot.log contains the following last lines:
file name: rootfs.squashfs
host name: 192.168.1.1
port number:80
protocol: http
request path: /rootfs.squashfs
auth data: (null)
file size: 101666816
/bin/mount: invalid option --

It seems that the mount command of busybox has problems with libfuse's mount
options.

* What outcome did you expect instead?

I would expect that the httpfs is mounted like it worked in squeeze.

Package: icewm-themes
Version: 1.2.26-1
Severity: minor

The icewm-themes package contains a vim swapfile:
/usr/share/icewm/themes/xp/.default.theme.swp

This file is useless and should not be distributed with the package.

Thanks,

Bug#405293: Please change default path to stunnel binary

2007-01-02 Thread Sven Dreyer
Package: elza
Version: 1.4.3-11
Severity: wishlist

Please modify /etc/elza.def so that the variable 'sslcmd' points to
'/usr/bin/stunnel' (instead of '/usr/sbin/stunnel'). The Debian stunnel
package installs its binary to /usr/bin, so applying this change would
allow https to work out-of-the-box.

System is Etch, elza 1.4.3-11, stunnel 3.26-dfsg-1.

Thanks!

Bug#380106: codec_ilbc.so missing

2006-07-27 Thread Sven Dreyer
Package: asterisk-classic
Version: 1:1.2.10.dfsg-1
Severity: normal

It seems as if codec_ilbc.so is missing in this version of asterisk,
which makes asterisk unable to translate from/to ilbc.

This also applies to asterisk-bristuff.

Sven

Bug#337830: Security problem in kphone

2005-11-06 Thread Sven Dreyer
Package: kphone
Version: 4.2-3
Severity: serious

I think I have found a security flaw in kphone:
it creates ~/.qt/kphonerc world-readable! This file contains the user's
SIP-password and so on, so I guess this is a bad thing, because the
~/.qt dir itself is by default also readable by everybody.

I removed the whole ~/.qt dir and restarted kphone: same behaviour.

Regards,
Sven

I just checked it, it has _not_ been fixed in the version you mentioned.

Should be something like kppp -- A KDE frontend to pppd.

p3nfs needs a dependency to portmap to operate properly. On my system

portmap: server localhost not responding, timed out
RPC: failed to contact portmap (errno -5).
Installing portmap solved the problem.

Bug#298350: bug in manpage of at

2005-03-06 Thread Sven Dreyer
Package: at
Version: 3.1.8-11
The manpage of `at' has a typo. From `man at':
Times displayed will be in the format 1997-02-20 14:50 unless the
environment variable POSIXLY_CORRECT is set; then, it will be Thu Feb
20 14:50:00 1996.

In the first case it is 1997, the second says 1996 (should be 1997, too).
