Bug#511464: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics: After some time strange behavior with appletouch touchpad
Package: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics Version: 0.15.0+git20080820-1 Severity: normal Hello, I have iBook G4 (A1133) and after some time the touchpad begins to behave very strangely. Cursor moves to some direction without touching the touchpad or it cannot be moved at all and moving is interpreted as scrolling. When I use #synclient touchpadoff=1 to disable the touchpad it works ok. If I reinsert the appletouch kernel driver (kernel/drivers/input/mouse) and enable it again it begins to work normally, but movement is very very slow and cannot be configured. I used very complex (but fine working) configuration for synaptics touchpad and when problems started I changed it to following but problems are the same. Section InputDevice Identifier Synaptics Touchpad Driver synaptics Option SHMConfig on EndSection I'm unable to track some event that triggers the wrong behavior and also I don't know if the problem is in the synaptics driver of the kernel module.
