Bug#1000975: qtox: Crashes on Ctrl+F and typing/searching some word
Package: qtox Version: 1.17.3-1 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: riveravaldezm...@gmail.com Dear Maintainer, * What led up to the situation? Seeing any contact chat, pressing Ctrl+F to open search-bar, then typing, let's say, a "long" word like 'transparency', deleting some characters, adding others, etc. * What was the outcome of this action? qTox crashes consistenly, this is all I got from terminal (nothing on dmesg nor journalctl): $ qtox (...) terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::out_of_range' what(): map::at Abortado * What outcome did you expect instead? Simple search-results found on-the-fly, as seems to be the GUI intention. Please, let me know if there's something I could do to help solve this. Bug#998356: jami: No line-break in chat
Package: jami Version: 20210112.2.b757bac~ds1-1 Severity: important X-Debbugs-Cc: riveravaldezm...@gmail.com Dear Maintainer, hi, I reported this issue to the Jami developers there: https://git.jami.net/savoirfairelinux/jami-project/-/issues/1336 In the chat/conversation window when a message is long instead of line-breaks the text goes out of the bubble and even out of the window (even in maximized window). There are a couple of screen-captures in the link above. The response from Jami-devs has been: > Hi, > 20210112 is not from our team and very old. > We provide a repo for debian and snap repo: > https://jami.net/download-jami-linux/ > Regards, , so, I'm not sure if this requires upgrading/updating the version or what... Bug#973887: alsa-utils: alsamixer default Sound Card hangs (high CPU usage) with `pulseaudio --kill`
Package: alsa-utils Version: 1.2.3-1 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: riveravaldezm...@gmail.com Dear Maintainer, * What led up to the situation? AFAICT, last system update (yesterday). * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? With alsamixer running in a separated terminal [F6: Sound Card : - (default)] I did `pulseaudio --kill`. * What was the outcome of this action? CPU starts to work a lot and non-stoping. Going to alsamixer and doing F6: select another Card (the '0' one, for instance) stops this hang. But then when trying to choose again '- (default)' I have this message: > Error > Cannot open mixer device 'default'. > Connection refused Which I suppose it's OK since PA is not running. If I do `pulseaudio --start` and try again alsamixer seems to recover ('default' appears again). * What outcome did you expect instead? Not high-CPU-hanging, I suppose. Thanks a lot. Bug#972666: flatpak: Fonts not being found
Package: flatpak Version: 1.8.2-3 Severity: important X-Debbugs-Cc: riveravaldezm...@gmail.com Dear Maintainer, after discovering that the flathub Scribus app doesn't find the whole of the system installed fonts I informed about there: https://github.com/flathub/net.scribus.Scribus/issues/21 Following advice I tested it with AbiWord and found the same issue (which seems as a flatpak issue, therefor this report). * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? Essentially I created a file with AbiWord/Scribus (debian repositories packages) and applied a specific font to a text and saved. Now, opening those files with AbiWord/Scribus (flatpak apps) results in the program not finding the font. * What outcome did you expect instead? That flatpak has access to all installed fonts. Bug#972534: scribus: Inconsistent behaviour with lines selection
Package: scribus Version: 1.5.5+svn23928+dfsg-1+b2 Severity: important X-Debbugs-Cc: riveravaldezm...@gmail.com Dear Maintainer, * What led up to the situation? Seems like a problem of the version. Can't think of anything that I've done that could have originated it. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? When a file has multiple lines (object line) the selection seems odd. Clicking over some lines will produce the selection of others, which are distant of the clicking point. With multiple pages clicking in a clear space of one page will select some line in some other, distant page - or even creat a line randomly, apparently - and then if one moves the selected object let's say being in page 2, the view will jump to let's say page 10, where the randomly selected line is. I tried with File > Preferences > Default (button) with no modification of this behaviour. * What outcome did you expect instead? Essentially, to click in a line and get that line selected. Thanks a lot, let me know if I can give any other useful information. Package: leafpad Version: 0.8.18.1-5 Severity: important X-Debbugs-Cc: riveravaldezm...@gmail.com Dear Maintainer, * What led up to the situation? On Debian Testing (updated) I've seen this bug for a couple of years now. Using PCManFM's built-in remote-server connection (Menu: Go → Connect with server) and choosing SSH you can mount a remote filesystem. Now, if in any folder of that system you edit a plain text file with leafpad and save it, all the file content gets erased. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? With leafpad this problem is consistent. With other editors (nano, mousepad) the problem doesn't exists. If the mounting is done through sshfs, then leafpad works fine. * What was the outcome of this action? Edit and save a file with leafpad on this circumstances (using PCManFM's built-in connection method) results in complete deletion of all file's content. * What outcome did you expect instead?
