Thanks. Can you answer upstream's questions on Github?

One thing that would be usefull is if you could open a bug upstream
and attach a backtrace, just so that we can confirm whether it is a
different bug. This would be good to know, because the patch for the
earlier bug you mention has been merged in 9.4.1-12, so it likely is a
different issue.

It indeed was fixed in later releases. You can try with dhcpcd-base 10
(currently in Unstable).

Bug#1041204: dhcpcd-base: dhcpcd -T wlp3s0 produces Segmentation fault

2023-07-15 Thread Ingo Wichmann
Package: dhcpcd-base
Version: 9.4.1-22
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: iw-deb...@linuxhotel.de

Dear Maintainer,

I tried out
  dhcpcd -T wlp3s0
to fetch information from my local dhcp-server. After some lines of output the
programm stops with 'Segmentation fault'.

Here is the output I get:

# dhcpcd -T wlp3s0
dhcpcd-9.4.1 starting

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1024357 is a similar bug that
has been closed upstream with
https://github.com/NetworkConfiguration/dhcpcd/issues/156 and seems to have
been fixed in testing or sid.
