Christian Stimming kindly offered to (ask David Hamptoon and) grant a licensing exception for gnucash-hbci, but I'm not too optimistic that this is enough. Well, please treat it as severity whatever you care about HBCI in gnucash. If 'wishlist' is your version of 'wontfix' then gnucash will never have this feature. (This also requires changing -lssl to -lgnutls-openssl.) libssl-dev is not GPL compatible and cannot be used in a GPLd program. This means it cannot legally be used in aqbanking, which is GPLd. It also means that I can't build gnucash against aqbanking as long as aqbanking is linking against ssl, because I can't link gnucash against ssl (for the same reason).
