Bug#501131: geeqie: overwrites user-defined configuration
Package: geeqie Version: 1.0~alpha1-7 Severity: normal I removed manually the files (and subdirs) under my ~./thumbnals/ directory. Then when I started geeqie after that I noticed that my customized keyboard accelerators ceased to operate. I looked into ~./geeqie/ and found that the configuration files got overwritten. This should not happen as thumbnails and accels are not related in any way. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (100, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ru_RU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages geeqie depends on: ii geeqie-common 1.0~alpha1-7 data files for Geeqie ii libatk1.0-0 1.22.0-1 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libc6 2.7-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcairo2 1.6.4-6 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libexiv2-4 0.17.1-1 EXIF/IPTC metadata manipulation li ii libgcc1 1:4.3.1-9GCC support library ii libglib2.0-02.16.5-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.12.11-3The GTK+ graphical user interface ii liblcms11.17.dfsg-1 Color management library ii libpango1.0-0 1.20.5-2 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libstdc++6 4.3.1-9 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 Versions of packages geeqie recommends: ii libjpeg-progs 6b-14 Programs for manipulating JPEG fil Versions of packages geeqie suggests: pn geeqie-dbgnone (no description available) ii gimp 2.4.7-1The GNU Image Manipulation Program pn xpaintnone (no description available) -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Actually, I have just realized that my assumption about the reason of this bug was wrong. The actual reason was that there was no space left on my /home/ partition when I was using geeqie. After I cleaned the drive somewhat and tried to reproduce the bug, I could not see it. Anyway, the zero space condition must be somehow checked. So I will leave this bug open. I have not tried yet what will happen with alpha2 under the same conditions. -- Stanislav -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Reproduced it with alpha2 by simultaneous writing to disk and viewing new files in geeqie (so that it creates new thumbnails and also eats up space). -- Stanislav -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe.
