severity 516289 normal retitle 516289 missing replaces for libcpanplus-perl notfound 516289 5.8.8-7etch6 found 516289 5.10.0-19 thanks On Fri, Feb 20, 2009 at 01:31:57PM +0100, Eric Van Buggenhaut wrote: Preparing to replace perl 5.8.8-7etch6 (using .../perl_5.10.0-19_i386.deb) ... As the libcpanplus-perl package was never part of a stable release and was removed from Debian in 2005 (see #292754), I'm downgrading the severity. I can add a Replaces/Conflicts/Provides entry to the next sid upload, but that doesn't help much because we assume upgrades don't skip a stable release. I don't think this is worth a stable update, but maybe it could be sneaked in if we need one for some other reason. Hm, I should also have mentioned that you should be able to fix this just by removing libcpanplus-perl. Yes, that's what I did, I dpkg'd -r libcpanplus-perl Thanks for being so prompt to reply. -- Eric -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe.
