I can confirm that i was also able to get RTC working by downloading latest

Bug#572964: chrony: RTC support is missing

2010-06-11 Thread hugo vanwoerkom
Sure enough, download http://download.tuxfamily.org/chrony/chrony-1.24.tar.gz
untar, do ./configure + make +make install and adjust the place of
chrony.conf and that of the daemon and RTC support is back again.
But I'd like to know why it was taken out.

2010-06-10 Thread hugo vanwoerkom
I also ran into this when I updated from 1.23-6 to 1.23-7, but if it
is missing RTC support, how come there is nothing in the changelog?
I presumed that it had to do with my kernel configuration. (But what?)

Bug#572964: chrony: RTC support is missing

2010-03-07 Thread Chuan-kai Lin
Package: chrony
Version: 1.23-7
Severity: normal

I just upgraded from 1.23-6 to 1.23-7, and the new version no longer
supports regulating hardware real-time clocks. I have the rtcfile
directive set in /etc/chrony/chrony.conf, but after the upgrade, the
chronyc rtcdata command returns:

513 No RTC driver

Please re-enable RTC support in the next revision.
