Bug#608323: f-spot: rotate fails on read-only files / your original is never altered is not true

So perhaps reading from cache whatever it was looking for). Thanks for your prompt reply, and please accept my apologies for forgetting to warn you about the schema incompatibility. I recommend 0.8.2 for daily use though. ;-) Anyway, if you don't mind, could you report this bug upstream[0]? Be sure to include the f-spot --debug log. They're best placed to help you debug this issue and, as never modifying original files was an important goal for the 0.8 series, should be interested in your issue. WARNING: 0.8.2-1 changed the sqlite schema (this may have been due to the changes I made to plugin settings), and I had to restore ~/.config/f-spot/ from backup before 0.6.2-2 would start up again. However, I'm using ZFS and had a recent snapshot, so that was okay. I'm not upset, but you might want to note the compatibility issue if you suggest upgrading to someone who may be less technically minded. They might become annoyed if they think they'll have to recreate the tag database for their collection of 10,000 photos... -jonathan -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. I think this bug should be fixed by f-spot 0.8 which you can find in experimental. Unfortunately it can't be fixed in Squeeze because it is frozen for all but release critical fixes for some time now. If you are able, could you upgrade to 0.8.2-1 in experimental and see if this fixes your issue? Cheers, Iain signature.asc Description: Digital signature
