Hi,

Can you try upgrading your kernel to 3.2 to see if that helps? Did this
stop working when upgrading from squeeze to wheezy, or after upgrading
your kernel package while tracking Debian testing?

Sometimes I noticed problems with that f.. fabulous soundserver
pulseaudio?

Bug#649694: linux-sound-base: snd-ca0106 fails to record audio with 'sb_live!_24_bit'

2011-11-23 Thread Andreas Glaeser
Package: linux-sound-base
Version: 1.0.23+dfsg-4
Severity: grave

Dear Maintainer,
*** Please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?
   * What was the outcome of this action?
   * What outcome did you expect instead?

My Sound_Blaster_Live!_24_Bit soundcard, which used to serve me well for some
time does
not work anymore. It is driven by snd-ca0106 alsa kernel module. There were
several other
issues related to this reported already:
648...@bugs.debian.org
647...@bugs.debian.org
647...@bugs.debian.org
644...@bugs.debian.org
Now this seems to be the right place to file this report against.
When I try to record a few minutes of audio with audacity, the result is a file
of a few
seconds length. This does not sound right either, as you can imagine.
