Ah, right. Would you please read the definiton of bug severities?:

http://www.debian.org/Bugs/Developer#severities:
grave
makes the package in question unusable or mostly so, or causes data loss,
or introduces a security hole allowing access to the accounts of users who use
the package.

libreoffice-writer is not unuusable, it is not data loss and
it for sure is not a security bug.

 How-to-reproduce:
 1. Start libreoffice.
 2. Create a new text document.
 3. Type in a b.
 4a. Press Ctrl+F10 or
4b. Choose the menu entry View - Nonprinting Characters or
4c. Click on the toolbar button with the vertically mirrored IP.
 5. Observe that the space between a and b is not displayed as a dot.
Actually, the view does not change.

The same happens if we had inserted Tab, Enter, nonbreakable space,
etc. instead of the usual space.

Maybe it could be argued ro be important, but *shrugs* I'll set it to normal.
Severity inflation does not help. Seriously.

Try what Jack suggested (see my other mail=, please and report back.

Regards,

Rene
