I believe is save. The version on Stable is from
08 Mar 2017 and some bugs were fixed. But there are
some changes that maybe you should pay atention:

Date: 2017-10-26

 - picasaweb: removed 'open in browser'
 - not longer supported by the google API

Date: 2017-10-27

 - removed pgotobucket uploader
 - no longer supported by photobucket.com

Date: 2017-10-27

 - facebook: remove 'open in browser' command
 - the facebook api doesn't provide the album link anymore

Date: 2017-10-27

 - facebook: removed album size
 - the facebook api doesn't proved the 'count' field anymore

Date: 2017-10-27

 - facebook: remove importer
 - no longer supported by the facebook api

The complete list is here[0]

There is a bug reported that is interested depending how
fast you press keys[1]. The user will provide the images
so I can reproduce it:

[1] - https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=887759

I can do a backport so you can have the 3.6.0 version in
Stable. Think about it and let me know.

Herbert

Bug#888568: gthumb segfault on fresh Stretch installation

2018-01-27 Thread Michelle Konzack
Package: gthumb
Version: 3:3.4.4.1-5
Followup-For: Bug #653865

Hello Maintainer,

I have on my Lenovo ThinkPad T400 (Dualcore 2,27GHz, 4 GByte of memory)
recently Stretch installed and today the first time gthumb called.

Here the output copied from start in XTerm:

[ c 'gthumb' ]--
libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to autenticate
libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to open swrast (search paths
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dri:${ORIGIN}/dri:/usr/lib/dri)

libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to autenticate
libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to open swrast (search paths

error: XDG_RUNTIME_DIR not set in the environment

Question: Since my Compaq laptop broke and I have my comtability and
whatelese on the T400, is it save, to install Packages like
gthumb from Testing? It took me already 4 weeks to get the
basics running on Stretch because systemd does not like my
PostgreSQL/Network Setup (refuses to mount in order).

Thanks in avance
Michelle
