Bug#406102: apcupsd stable : Wishlist
Package: apcupsd Version: 3.10.17-2 The original powerchute package has a functionality, which allows to stop the APC UPS immediately from an xwindow application powerchute or to programm a daily or weekly stop/restart cycle. This is convenient for offices and for power saving purposes. This would be desirable to have included in a new deb package apcupsd (or in a new package on top of it.) I can offer a sarge install on a PC connected to an APC SMART-UPS 1400 of the year 2000, a second PC acting as slave with sarge and a third PC on another subnet, currently with SuSE 7.3, to reverse-engineer and analyse the interaction between the software and the UPS, and then to install debian possibly unstable or sid and to develop and create a proper deb with these functions. I need people who know the apcupsd package, how to make a .deb, discussion partners which listen, talk, give moral support, and look at the developped code. Bug#409018: nohwcap
Hello I refer to my posting http://www.mail-archive.com/grml@mur.at/msg00781.html in which a whole discussion thread deals with the subject. It had also been relayed to the maintainers of x-servers x.org IMHO the nohwcap issue shall be dealt with only by the kernel and / or any other hardware related software, which are currently the Xserver and the drivers only (in case of insertion / removal of hw). No application should try to find something out about hardware. Kernel shall do it once after booting, insertion or removal of hw only and then hold the data in its virtual filesystem. then such a weird device as /etc/ld.so.nohwcap is at best not existing or second best once read updated during system boot, insertion or removal of hw. best regards a system engineer -- Erich Minderlein [EMAIL PROTECTED] MARC Mannheim Rail Commerce GmbH -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#869698: Additional information
Hello This not only applies to the resume state, the mistake seems to be a general one. it also applies to a running desktop , where the screen should have been blocked due to time out from inactivity. Right now I left the desktop running, had a nap and after return this action occurred. Returning after absence and doing input action such as mouse movement or keyboard, the screen reappears from dark and shows the status as when I left. eventually the blocking occurs and the unblocking password input window shows up. I Use 2 desktops, both on actual systems output uname -a Linux `hostname` 4.9.0-5-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.65-3+deb9u2 (2018-01-04) x86_64 GNU/Linux debianversion 9.3 MATE Desktop Environment 1.16.2 As should be : Blocking shall occur, when the timer times out, instantly, OR before suspend and similar operation As is: Blocking occurs, when when the timer times out AND input action occurs. (Screen may be dark before) Best regards Erich Minderlein

There is nothing in /etc/initramfs-tools/scripts/local-premount, except . and .. , :-) as they are all in fstab , seems to be a race . I have now added RequireMountsFor=/home into the service files. The problem continues. I think, you have been too fast in closing this bug. Initramfs is another site. If I goof something in initramfs , then it will be gone with the next kernel install. debian 10.3 has nothing inside the initramfs script section, I could not even copy and adopt a script. systemd provides a job home.mount and is solely responsible for the complete ordered startup through all runlevel. I expect this . that the file system is mounted before any job wants to accces it. My fix of this problem is to go back to cron and sysvinit, if systemd is relying on the customer to sort, what the vendor of the package has not achieved. So devuan is the the solution , because debian has integrated systemnd so much taht there is no way back Am 21.04.20 um 14:01 schrieb Michael Biebl: Am 21.04.20 um 13:55 schrieb Michael Biebl: Control: tags -1 + moreinfo Control: severity -1 normal Am 21.04.20 um 13:23 schrieb Erich Minderlein: $HOME/location/of/app/etc/systemd/system/config.* Is that on a separate partition that has to be mounted during boot to make it accessible? systemd itself should have no problems with using symlinks, fwiw. Bug#1067884: KiCad no longer seems to recognize any of the built-in libraries
I must correct my self: This was an update from devuan chimaera and an old history concerning $HOME, which lives with me since years Today I made a fresh install in a virtual machine and every thing works fine. Then I deleted directories rm -r $HOME/.config/kicad $HOME/.cache/kicad $HOME/.local/share/kicad I started KiCad again as $USER and it acknowledged the libraries. This is an aide at least for those who do not have a valuable history in KiCad For the others the problem remains to be solved best regards bugreportem --
