Para instalar el paquete, ejecute: module-assistant prepare o apt-get install linux-headers-3.8-2-amd64 » # m-a -t a-i virtualbox Updating info data files of the packages 1 Getting the sources of the kernel version: 3.8-2-amd64 apt-get install linux-headers-3.8-2-amd64 Reading package list... Done! Bad luck, the kernel headers for the target kernel version could not be found and you did not specify other valid kernel headers to use. However, you can install the header files for your kernel which are provided by the linux-headers-3.8-2-amd64 package. For most modules packages, these files are perfectly sufficient without having the original kernel source. My initial approach was to maintain this package with DPMT, I asked for sponsoring at the Debian Python mailing list but the response I've got was a question asking why we need another python wrapper in the archive[0] Please: 1. d/control: remove the double space in 'Maintainer' field. In long description, in last paragraph, I think that can be many features that work with and change user background. Please, remove 'Pre-Depends' fields. Dpkg is set as 'Essential' in Debian. ($ apt-cache show dpkg) 2. The HISTORY.rst is the changelog. You can use 'dh_installchangelogs' to install it. Thanks for your work! Regards, Eriberto Thanks for reviewing the package! I will make the changes. If you are interested in sponsoring python-twython, I can maintain the package by myself and move the package to collab-maint. Or if there is no problem with you to make the upload I would co-maintain the package with the DPMT. Without a concrete example, I can only guess that you did something like this: Files: debian/* Copyright: 2015 Random Developer rando...@debian.org License: FooPL Files: * Copyright: 2015 Random Hacker hac...@example.net License: BarPL Here the following rule matters: The last paragraph that matches a particular file applies to it. And since the last paragraph matches everything, the first one is unused. The solution is to reorder the paragraphs: More general paragraphs should therefore be given first, followed by more specific overrides. -- Jakub Wilk Jakub, Thanks for your response, Sorry for not give you a concret example, but yes, that's the case. And that is the way I resolved it. Is this a new behaviour? since it's the first time I see it with this copyright file and I hadn't it changed it for a while. IMHO the order should not matter. Is there any reason to keep the version 2.2.0 in the archive? As I know there's no lagging behind upstream, it's the latest v2 release[1]. Please tell me if you know otherwise. Yes, it's needed as amavisd-new depends on libzeromq-perl which in turns depends on libzmq1 . Also I've found the watch file has the version 2 hardcoded. I am attaching a patch to fix the watch file. It hardcodes 2 as it's the v2 release. Your patch just create confusion. Regards, Laszlo/GCS [1] https://github.com/zeromq/zeromq2-x/releases Hi Laszlo, Based on the zeromq download page[1] the actual stable release is 4.0.5, that's the reason I've made the watch patch. Reviewing the github link you brought and comparing it with the [2] NEWS file seems to me that it's the newer version of the same library. Is the v4 different of v2? if this is true, I am willing to help to package the v4. But to me it seems it's just a newer version of the current lib that is in the archive. Let me know if I am missing something between the two versions. IMO If v2 and v4 are different and have different purposes it would be great specify the version in the package description because right now is confusing. Bug#836695: python-axolotl: debian package doesn't work with gajim-omemo, but pip package works

Gajim prints to stderr "(E) gajim.plugin_system.omemo > No module named legacymessageexception" on startup. Is this the only warning/error you get? I could not reproduce it The module legacymessageexception after the debian package installation should be under "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/axolotl" Did you check your Python path? > Then I installed the python-axolotl package from pip, and that works as > expected. What are the differences between the package from pip and the one > from debian? Right now the only differences between the debian package and the pip one are: - This patch which is required to build python-axolotl with the latest version of Protobuf: https://sources.debian.net/src/python-axolotl/0.1.35-1/debian/patches/000-rename-protobuf-genetared-files.patch/ - The path where the module is installed e.g: Debian installs their python modules under "/usr/lib/pythonX.Y/dist/packages/ " and pip installs the modules under: "/usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages" Both of above do not affect the access to legacymessageexception module, maybe this is an issue with gajim-omemo itself using some weird path? I found it more intuitive for users were using pavucontrol already, the interface is user friendlier and customizable[1][2] than pulsemixer. By the other hand it lacks of the command processing interface that pulsemixer has. Is this any better than pulsemixer? IMO this is better for some users they only want to manage easily pulseaudio from the terminal and they want to customize its keybindings (like me) Regards [1]: https://github.com/patroclos/PAmix#configuration [2]: https://github.com/patroclos/PAmix/blob/master/pamix.conf -- Josue Ortega http://josueortega.org signature.asc Description: PGP signature
