true. But for #2, the sentence would not have made any sense if the two
packages are not already in testing, as the freeze wouldn't matter if
ffmpeg is only in sid. As a result, it is fair to assume Moritz implied that
a migration to testing, albeit temporary, is okay in the mean time.

Neither 1. nor 2. appears like a bloody green light to me.
You are assuming that someone implied something, that is quite

I definitely agree.

BTW I'd like to get an opinion from any of the Uploaders first.

Bug#695842: portmidi segfaults when using multiple MIDI devices

2012-12-13 Thread Alessio Treglia
Package: portmidi
Severity: serious
Tags: patch upstream
Forwarded: http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/portmedia/ticket/3

Hi,

Mixxx users encounter SIGSEGV with portmidi in ALSA-based Linux setup.
In order to reproduce the issue, you may try to plug a couple of MIDI
devices, say one of them is very chatty and you try to close it then
portmidi tries to poll the remaining open devices so you get a SIGSEGV
in handle_event().

The offending file is pm_linux/pmlinuxalsa.c, the upstream bug tracker
has already a patch attached and I'm going to prepare an NMU to fix this.

Hope to hear from you soon,
Cheers.

this doesn't seem related to accountsservice.
I'll try to allocate some time to reproduce the crash and then get a backtrace.

Bug#670113: Wrong pkg-config file causes other packages to FTBFS

2012-04-22 Thread Alessio Treglia
Package: libflowcanvas-dev
Version: 0.7.1+dfsg0-0.1+b1
Severity: serious
Tags: patch

Hi,

flowcanvas.pc contains hard-coded flags/libraries which causes ladish
to fail to build from source:

 [ 30/142] c: gui/control.c - build/gui/control.c.10.o
 In file included from /usr/include/gtkmm-2.4/gtkmm.h:87:0,

  from ../gui/canvas.cpp:28:
/usr/include/glibmm-2.4/glibmm.h:82:26: fatal error: glibmmconfig.h: No such
 file or directory
 compilation terminated.

The header glibmmconfig.h has moved into the multiarch path and the pkg-config
file should set a proper Requires field instead of providing a list of
hard-coded
paths of dependencies in Libs and Cflags.

A patch is appended below, thanks for considering.

Could you refresh your patch and adapt to the changes introduced by my

Bug#657575: Uploaders field must contain at least one human

2012-01-26 Thread Alessio Treglia
Package: dopewars
Severity: serious

Hi,

regarding the Uploaders field, the Debian Policy Manual §5.6.3 says
the following:

[...]
This is normally an optional field, but if the Maintainer control field
names a group of people and a shared email address, the Uploaders field
must be present and must contain at least one human with their personal
email address.
[...]

dopewars's Maintainer field has

Debian Games Team pkg-games-de...@lists.alioth.debian.org

set as Maintainer but no Uploaders field is present.
This is a clear violation of the Policy.

Regards,

Bug#626703: Changing severity of #626703

2011-05-14 Thread Alessio Treglia
severity 626703 important
thanks

Hi,

I have temporarily disabled the testsuites just to try compiling beast
everywhere.
Builds have gone fine but I'd rather change the severity from
'serious' to 'important' and leave this report open to track the
status in future than close it, since this is far away from being the
best solution.

Regards,
