Bug#429764: Followup on bug#429764 -- clamav-freshclam asks for password during dpkg configure
This bug can be closed. This is actually a problem of su not being able to run as root without a password. This is either a su or PAM bug, or I have some kind of misconfiguration on my system. I imagine that a lot of people would be upset if this was a wider problem, so it's probably something specific to my system. my /etc/pam.d/su file is correctly configured, but it seems that it's not being respected. Per my previous mail, I apt-get removed and dpkg purged the clamav, clamav-freshclam, clamav-base, and all other clamav related packages that I could find. Upon reinstall, I experienced the same problem as mentioned before. I also did a find /etc -iname *clam* after the purge and found no files.
