Bug#722658: ruby-god: god depends on ruby-god but ruby-god breaks god

 ruby-god should break/replace god ( 0.13.2-3).

Without the versioning, god is uninstallable.

Indeed, god has been removed from the archive (both unstable and
testing), so I don't believe this bug report is valid unless I'm
missing something.

Jeremy, what do you think ?

Cheers,

It is a valid bug. Someone who has 'god' installed in Debian Wheezy
will need a transitional package in Debian Jessie to get upgraded to
ruby-god. However, the transitional package is uninstallable so this
won't work.

See Method 2 of https://wiki.debian.org/Renaming_a_Package (since
Method 1 doesn't really work).

Also the transitional package needs these debian/control fields:

Architecture: all
Priority: extra
Section: oldlibs
