I tried linux-image-3.0.0-rc3-686-pae-3.0.0~rc3-1~experimental.1, but it
did not fix the issue.

Bug#515201: reopen bug - all kernel versions in squeeze until now

2011-06-17 Thread egross
Hi.
I have also an Asus motherboard with a marvell controller for external sata
drive. Since upgrade from lenny to squeeze, the external hd did not work. As it
has also an usb connection, I can use it through usb, but if it is conncected
to the marvell sata instead of to usb, boot hangs.
Motherboard is M2V. Current kernel version is 2.6.32-5-amd64.
Greatings.

Bug#627585: Can not test xgi volari z9s with 2.6.39

2011-06-17 Thread Andrew Buckeridge
I can't run linux-image-2.6.39-2-powerpc 2.6.39-2,
linux-image-2.6.39-1-powerpc 2.6.39-1 or linux-image-2.6.38-2-powerpc
2.6.38-5 as a result I am not able to confirm if bug 627585 has been
fixed on this arch.

These displays are sometimes found on x86 servers.
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1271694
Some one with such an x86 may be able to test.

Bug#630845: linux-image-2.6.39-2-powerpc: CHRP Pegasos2 boot failure

2011-06-17 Thread Andrew Buckeridge
Package: linux-2.6
Version: 2.6.39-2
Severity: normal

Binary packages that have failed to boot on my Pegasos2 are
linux-image-2.6.39-2-powerpc_2.6.39-2,
linux-image-2.6.39-1-powerpc_2.6.39-1 and
linux-image-2.6.38-2-powerpc_2.6.38-5.

There is nothing interesting on the screen. After loading from firmware
they just stick at one of the characters of a BSD style spinner.

I am running 2.6.32-5-powerpc so this was used to report bug.

As a result I am not able to confirm if bug 627585 has been fixed.

My fault, I didn't checked that it was already included in Debian's kernel

Sorry.

Andy Whitcroft's patch is the same that Debian (and upstream) has [1]
except for the following:

* The Ubuntu guys are commenting the line "WARN_ONCE(cnt > AUFS_PLINK_WARN,

Bug#630788: linux-image-2.6.32-5-486: squeeze kernel doesn't include accept_ra=2 patch

2011-06-17 Thread Geoff Crompton
Package: linux-2.6
Version: 2.6.32-34squeeze1
Severity: wishlist
Tags: squeeze ipv6

The squeeze kernel doesn't have this patch:
http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git;a=commit;h=65e9b62d4503849b10bedfc29bff0473760cc597

Apparently that hit the kernel in 2.6.37, according to:
http://lists.debian.org/debian-ipv6/2011/05/msg00033.html

I'd really like that patch to be in the squeeze kernel, and I suspect the Adam
Spragg (who started that debian-ipv6 mailing list thread) would also like it.
The mailing list thread goes on and Bernard Scmidt suggests a work around
(hence this being a wishlist bug).

This bug is my vote to get this patch into squeeze somehow (be that a
squeeze-n-half kernel, or a cherry picked patch to a later squeeze kernel).
I'll understand if you tag this wont-fix.

Cheers,
Geoff Crompton

Bug#630574: linux-image-2.6.32-5-xen-686: Kernel oops when running DOM0 and use padlock_aes or padlock_sha module (on VIA C7)

I tried to catch that oops, but it only hard-freezes now. Not sure if I
had no luck, or something had changed.

there is no change with 2.6.39 kernel from unstable, it hard-freezes
too. Kernel 3.0-rc still not exists in experimental.

I will do more tests in next week. I would bet, that it had worked in
past...
