Re: python-support deprecation MBF coordination

Given the large number of bugs, I followed Julien's advice to provide a lintian tag for python-support: http://bugs.debian.org/709615 http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=lintian/lintian.git;a=commitdiff;h=638d3a93724711ede9d12179dde15c219f95cd15 Hopefully, this will reduce the total number of packages to be transitioned. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-python-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". FTR, I have just uploaded these two packages to use dh_python2 rather than pysupport. Cheers, -- Arnaud Fontaine pgp0USbADNE7s.pgp Description: PGP signature
Bug#710060: ITP: pyflot -- interface from Python to libjs-flot
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: "Andrew Starr-Bochicchio" * Package name: pyflot Version : 0.1 Upstream Andre da Palma * URL : http://github.com/andrefsp/pyflot * License : MIT Programming Lang: Python Description : interface from Python to libjs-flot PyFlot makes it easy to generate flot graphs. Its primary goal is to allow one to specify data inputs and options in a Python application and generate the appropriate JSON. Common uses of this are rendering into a template as flot() arguments or as the payload of an XHR response. PyFlot takes care of all the annoying details of converting types to match up with how flot expects them. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-python-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Use the just installed package in the postinst script
Hello, I have a python package with postinst script. I'd like to use my just installed python package IN the postinst script to setup the necessary database. Although I am calling a update-python-modules in the postinst, the package is not available, yet. Do you have any tricks for this scenario? Thanks a lot and kind regards Cornelius signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature
Status of python2.6 removal
Hi! This is a quick status update about the efforts to get rid of python2.6 from the archive. A good number of reverse dependencies have been processed, and don't have python2.6 dependencies anymore. At the moment, the following packages are still to be transitioned: * crystalspace - Barry deFreese is currently working on it - A "flag to unstable" commit in SVN seems a signal an upload is coming! * mod-wsgi - Piotr recently uploaded a new package to experimental - Needs python3.3 as default python3 version? * python-pip - Dmitrijs and Dmitry committed some patches in DPMT SVN repository - Other things to consider before the upload can happen? * pyside - It requires python-numpy to be uploaded to unstable * shiboken - It requires python-numpy to be uploaded to unstable Other than the ones above, there are still some packages which have been transitioned, but they're not built everywhere: * libavg - Needs armhf build * mlpy - Needs armel and sparc builds * shogun - Needs to be built on several architectures where clang-3.2 is not built yet - Clang FTBFS almost everywhere, but fix is trivial (except on ia64) * syfi - Needs armel, ia64, mips, s390, and sparc builds - Needs a fixed cmake (#709181) Cheers, Luca -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-python-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
