The new way is that the maintainers run it themselves after each symbols update. * Make sure dh_installchangelogs is called even when upstream changelog is not present. * Use wildcards instead of hardcoded ABI versions in Lintian overrides files. * Merge 5.5.1+dfsg-11 and 5.5.1+dfsg-12 unstable uploads. - Refresh patches. * When merging install files, take DEB_HOST_ARCH_CPU into account, instead of DEB_HOST_ARCH. This is much more useful for us, because it allows us not to ship identical files for i386, hurd-i386 and kfreebsd-i386. * Exclude qdoc documentation from debian/qtbase5-doc-html.install (moved to qttools module). * Remove qdoc mention from qtbase5-dev-tools package description. * Re-enable building the documentation. - Add libqt5sql5-sqlite and qttools5-dev-tools to Build-Depends-Indep. * README.source: - Update the section on marking the private symbols. - Add a new section about bootstrapping the docs packages. Bug#799157: gwenview: some menu and print options vanished
Package: gwenview Version: 4:15.08.3-1 Followup-For: Bug #799157 Just to confirm, this still exists on 4:15.08.3-1. Non-KDE printing works fine. Furthermore, it looks like simultaneously with vanishing printing options, the landscape option stopped working, too: it works on jessie's version using the same printer queue. The newer gwenview simply prints the long edge of the parallel to the short edge of the paper, centers it on the paper (both edges) and scales to maximum size (i.e. short edge size). I did ask gwenview to "fit to page". Bug#801266: libkdecore5: Please make libkdecore5 multiarch
Pino Toscano, on Thu 07 Jan 2016 19:44:50 +0100, wrote: > So I'm setting this bug as wontfix, sorry. That should be fine, since: > (I see the latest version of qt-at-spi does not depend on libkdecore5 > anymore, so this bug is left open as reference.) so qt-at-spi is multiarch-installable. And what's more, libqtgui4 now recommends it, so that if a user has a 32bit qt4 app, she'll probably get the 32bit qt-at-spi installed automatically to make it accessible. Samuel

I don't see why it accessibility help should get triggered, there is no reason why disabled people would need that behavior. Jörg, you can cross-check whether that's my change which triggers this behavior by trying to comment the definitions in /etc/X11/Xsession.d/90qt-a11y We need to fix that anyway, disabled people really don't want that either anyway. Bug#803813: ffmpegthumbs: FTBFS with FFmpeg 2.9
Dear Maintainer, the next version of FFmpeg is planned to be released this month (and it might be called 3.0 instead of 2.9). Since I haven't heard back from you during the past two month I'm wondering what the status of this bug is: * Are you aware of the patch I provided? * Do you plan an upload soon? * Is upstream aware of the problem? If this bug isn't fixed soon, it will become release critical and thus the package will either get NMUed or removed from testing. Also there is a new upstream version (15.12.0) available, which could be uploaded together with this patch. Best regards, Andreas

Bug#810243: libqt5core5a: version 5.5.1+dfsg-12 causes lock-up when kdeint starts iceweasel
Lisandro Damián Nicanor Pérez Meyer wrote on 08/01/16 05:48: By the way, why using kdeini5 with iceweasel? The purpose of kdeinit5, according to it's manpage, is: Using kdeinit5 to launch KDE applications makes starting a typical KDE application a couple times faster and reduces memory consumption by a substantial amount. kdeinit5 is linked against all libraries a standard KDE application needs. With this technique, starting an application becomes much faster because now only the application itself needs to be linked whereas otherwise both the application as well as all the libraries it uses need to be linked. Iceweasel is by no means a "typical KDE application". Thanks for the reply, I am only trying to start iceweasel from the KDE Plasma desktop application launcher (which uses kdeinit5). When trying to isolate the issue earlier I had also tried starting iceweasel from a konsole terminal session. Is it possible start applications within the KDE plasma desktop without them having kdeinit5 as a parent/grandparent process? Arthur.
Bug#793740: kwrite: spell checking does not work at all
Hi, > Do you have sonnet-plugins installed? Yes. I also tried to provide different backends (aspell, hunspell, myspell) exclusively and all together. No dice. Note again, that after starting kwrite with eg. strace -s 512 kwrite |& grep 'sonnet' I'm still seeing the line stat("/usr//usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/plugins/kf5/sonnet", 0x7fff8cff2920) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory) immediately after selecting 'Tools > Spelling > Spelling ...'.
