Je n'utilise pas kmail mais ne serait-ce pas qu'un simple problème de configuration de client ? Qu'as tu dans la configuration de ton client ? hd.free.fr et server de mail ?
Bonjour, Je suis en train de mettre en place un serveur de mail postfix. J'utilise pour l'instant comme domaine le service de free. C'est avant tout par soucis d'auto formation que je fais ca. Mais je voudrais tout de même qu'il soit un minimum utilisable. Notamment pour envoyer les mails de root et autres sevices de mon serveur vers mon adresse principal. J'entends souvent parler de fortes restriction de l'utilisation des serveurs SMTP basé sur des ip dynamiques (dyndns) qu'en est-il de hd.free.fr ? Merci. configuration(s) du clavier avec gnome et xkb
Bonjour,
je cherche à configurer mon clavier correctement. J'ai un latitude D620
avec clavier français.
Voici ma configuration xorg

ça fonctionne bien, en particulier la touche compose. Mais si j'affiche
l'agencement avec l'outil gnome, la disposition du clavier ne correspond
pas parfaitement :
- la touche µ/* n'est pas exactement au bon endroit,
- la touche / n'apparait pas,
- les touches ctrl/alt/win etc n'apparaissent pas.
Je voudrais pouvoir aussi utiliser un layout qwerty que je trouve
beaucoup plus pratique que l'azerty et pouvoir passer de l'un à l'autre
facilement.
Comme je suis sous gnome, j'ai ajouté un agencement Anglais US dans
systèmepréférencesclavier, ça fonctionne, si j'appuie sur la touche
q j'obtiens le symbole a.
Mais...
- si j'appuie sur ctrl+q, il ne va pas au début de la ligne. Le
changement de layout n'affecte pas les combinaisons ctrl+...
- je ne peux pas faire de backspace, la touche µ/* de mon clavier
produit des µ/* quel que soit le layout.
J'ai deux questions
- comment régler ces 2 problèmes ?
- comment fonctionne gnome-keyboard-properties ? Il passe par xkb ?

IMPORTANT : intel q965 express

Lorsque je switche d une console a X : l ecran devient completement desynchronise Sur le conseil d une personne de la liste, j ai essaye d utiliser une image a base du noyau 2.6.22 sous etch via les backports mais sans reel succes De meme en se servant du package 915resolution. Je n'ai pas de solution à ton problème. Par contre, je peux t'expliquer comment moi je fais pour installer les fglrx ... À toi de voir pour la suite : - désinstalle toute version de fglrx - Récupère les drivers propriétaires sur le site d'amd : www.amd.com/ati - rends exécutable le binaire récupéré et lance le avec l'option -h. Tu verras, il y a une option pour générer des paquets debian avec. Malheureusement, je n'ai plus mon portable avec moi, donc je ne peux te donner la commande exact, mais ce n'est pas dur à trouver - Installe les headers de ton noyau et lance la commande pour générer les paquets debian (point précédent) - Installe les paquets générés - avec le paquet module-assistant, fais un m-a prepare et un m-a install fglrx - lance un aticonfig pour configurer le tout (genre double écran) - démarre X, le tour est joué. Tu peux vérifier ton install en faisant un fglrx-info depuis un user (non root), tu devrais voir du ATI manufacturer partout :) J'installe comme çà et j'ai rarement des soucis ... Mais attention, les derniers drivers proprio ne sont pas compatibles avec xserver-core 7.3 présent maintenant dans la lenny (backport de la 7.2 en attendant un update des pilotes) !!! Installation Sur raid matrériel et problème grub
Bonsoir à tous,
J'ai quelques soucis suite à l'installation sur un Raid matériel Sata 3ware.
Sur ma machine j ai trois disques identiques. Deux sont sur le controleur Raid,
en raid 1 et le troisième est simplement sur le controleur sata.
J'ai donc fait mon installation classiquement et j ai choisi mon unité raid
pour l' installation du système. Le 3e disque est laissé de coté. Tout se passe
bien et grub est installé dans la MBR sur hd0. Je redémarre le système et là
rien, écran noir. Au début (par manque d'habitude) je me suis dit qu'il y avait
un problème avec le raid. Puis je me suis demandé s'il n y a aurait pas un
problème d'amorçage.
J'ai donc enlevé mon 3e disque en solo et fait simplement l'installation sur
mon unité raid. Et là tout fonctionne tres bien.
Par contre si ensuite je réinsère mon 3e disque et que je reboot, alors Grub
crash avec le message waiting for root file system...
Il me semble qu'il y a une confusion dans le disque d'amorcage. sda devient sdb
et inversement.
Auriez vous des pistes pour régler ce genre de diificultés ?

Ce tu montres n'offre pas bcp d'informations. Il serait préférable de connaitre le chipset vidéo, le chipset son et le chipset réseau. Pq se familiariser avec Sarge avant de passer à Etch ? Sarge est out-todate, Etch est la stable actuelle. Installes une Etch, une Lenny, une Sid ou un mixe mais ne perds pas ton temps avec Sarge. Regarde la conf des comptes voir si il n'y a pas une option sur l'envoi de message par SSL au lieu d'être par TLS.

Lo que si hice fue montar un RAID1 por software directamente sobre las unidades de disco. En mi opinión, gráficamente deberias tener: 4. PARTICIONES EXT3 3. LVM 2. RAID 1. Salida de video
Hola: tengio una notebook con salida para monitor y quiero usarla con un proyector. Primero no lograba que el cañon tome señal(con fun+f4 en mi caso) luego descubri que bajandole la resolucion a la configuracion mi pantalla(a 800*600 como maximo) lograba visualizar. Continuación horde-squirrelmail
Hola a todos, hice esta pregunta: tengo un servidor con debian sarge y lo utilizo como servidor de correo con postfix, courier-imap, esquirrelmail, etc. Actualmente tengo unos 50 usuarios con bastante tráfico. Lo que quiero es cambiar a Horde, el problema es que el servidor está en producción y lo que quería saber es cómo hacer el cambio sin causar muchas molestias y por supuesto que salga bien, sabéis de algún manual.? Me dieron esta respuesta y ya no contestan más Tanto squirrelmail como horde, solo son webmail que acceden al servidor imap, donde esta toda la información. Create otro virtualhost e instala horde ahi. Entra con alguna cuenta y fijate como se ha quedado. No creo que te mantenga el tema de filtros, aunque usa sieve y en caso de que squirrelmail lo haga tambien, tal vez puedas importar a horde. El resto, carpetas y correos los tendras ahi. En la red tenía dos servidores DNS windos funcionando, pero estoy en proceso de migración de todos los servicios importantes a linux. Entonces monté otros 2 servidores en linux que son los que ahora reciben todas las peticiones de la empresa. El problema está que los 2 windos los he tenido que dejar por diversos motivos. Entonces lo que he tenido que hacer es configurar los reenviadores de windos a los 2 servidores DNS en Linux y es aquí donde está el problema. Esto no me está funcionando. Entonces mi pregunta está, en si alguien tiene lo mismo montado y ha tenido también problemas. En mis DNS en linux tengo el allow query configurado en any. Alguien que me pueda indicar por donde pueden venir los problemas. Alguna herramienta para ver si están los linux aceptando las peticiones del windos. En los log no veo nada. konqueror proxy socks
Hola.
Estoy intentando configurar konqueror para que utilice un proxy socks.
No consigo averiguar el método para indicarle la ip y el puerto del
proxy.
He intentado:
Manualmente - solamente están las opciones http https y ftp, pero no
socks.
A través de un script.pac que contiene esto:
function FindProxyForURL(url, host)
{
return “SOCKS 127.0.0.1:4545″;
}
ejecutando konqueror anteponiendo tsocks (paquete tsocks) y socksify
(paquete dante-client) que funcionan con el resto de aplicaciones, pero
no con konqueror.
El proxy funciona con todas las aplicaciones que necesito excepto
konqueror.
Google no me da mas respuestas.
De momento lo he solventado utilizando iceweasel, pero prefiero
konqueror.
¿Alguna idea?

Por lo del [U_] Lo que veo es que no usas dispositivos físicos, sino dm-1 ¿hay algo por debajo del raid? ¿lvm, crypsteup, o algo? Pues estoy tratando de averiguar, esto se quedo asi despues de instalar, tengo instalado lvm2, pero el lvdisplay me dice no volume groups found. La verdad es que siempre pense que estaba funcionando. ACL y samba
Hola a todos: Alguien conoce algún software para gestionar acl's comodamente? Tengo mi samba montado como servidor de ficheros y la estructura de carpetas, ficheros, grupos y usuarios es bastante complicada y amplia. Cada vez que quiero modificar algo me lleva bastante tiempo y quiero algo más rápido. Alguna idea? He pensado en utilizar script que automatize el proceso, pero tengo el inconveniente que esto solo funcionaria si la estructura de carpetas en los diferentes niveles siempre es la misma, con lo cual no es una solución definitiva puesto que el día de mañana esto puede cambiar. O detalhe é que eu não estou montando na mão, simplesmente quero fazer com que o usuário ao clicar no ícone Meu computador no Desktop e acessar a pasta e visualizar as duas partições Windows ele, clicando nas mesmas, consiga acessá-las e lê-las e escrever nelas, sem mais nenhum trabalho. Alterei o dono em Desktop/Administração/Disks...mas quando logo com usuário normal (sem ser o root) eu não consigo. Pelo que parece é que o mantenedor do pacote atualizou o arquivo no repositório e esqueceu de registrar isso no arquivo de listagem de pacotes. Alguém já usou o rdesktop conectando no win2003 usando disquete??? As configurações no win2003 para liberar o disquete para os terminais já foram feitas. Gnome - aviso de dispositivo ocupado
Nas máquinas com Gnome, quando você desmonta uma pendrive via Disk mounter applet ou via icone no desktop, aparece uma barra de progresso que fica em atividade enquanto o computador termina de gravar os dados que estavam no buffer. Isso é muito útil para evitar que a pendrive seja tirada antes da hora. Porém uso uma máquina (com Lenny) em que isso não acontece, ou seja, a barra de progresso não aparece quando deveria. Isso não me parece ser uma questão de configuração, e sim algum pacote faltando. O Gnome não está instalado por completo, ou melhor, o pacote gnome não está instalado porque ele tem muita coisa inútil para mim. Se eu vejo quais pacotes seriam instalados junto com o pacote gnome, nenhum me parece ser responsável por isso. Alguém sabe dizer qual parte do Gnome mostra a barra? Hey how you doing? I was in a similar situation as you. I installed the stable Debian etch and I required a few new packages. The best way to go about this is to compile them from source. It can get quite a bit tedious at times but here are a few tips: 1. Follow the README and INSTALL file include in the src tarball. 2. Then install all the required dependencies. * They are usually listed in the README or INSTALL file. * If there are libraries required, install them via aptitude along with the '-dev' packages. 3. You can use GNU Stow to manage these installs or simply just run 'make uninstall' in the src directory if you want to uninstall the software. I have compiled the following packages successfully on my system: 1. claws mail 3.0.2 2. Freepops 0.2.5 3. libdvdcss 4. and a few other small packages... Video description for Mac display
Hello; I would like to know if there is a video description or monitor profile for a Mac cinema display in Debian Etch for AMD64? What I have are a Mac G5 and a home built with v4.01 etch on AMD64 and I want to use a KVM switch. This way I can have both systems running and swap files back and forth via network connection. It makes more sense than dual boot system on the Mac where it would be one system running or the other. It sounds like the driver for it is not getting loaded or something. Sam I am not really sure. This is an old computer, but years ago, it had Redhat Linux 7 and Windows 95 dual boot running fine. As time went by, this computer was replaces with newer ones and slowly became obsolete. Now I want to revive it and probably make it a print server, and maybe web browser only machine, only running linux. I have never used debian before, but heard it was a good candidate for an old machine. On my other machines I run fedora 6 or 7. (and yes, I run Windows 2000 or XP) Is there a way I can find out the network card and driver without taking the machine apart. It is in kind of a hard place to get at right now. I'm trying to get iptables running on an etch machine but the rules aren't actually working for some reason. I've reduced this to a very simple example. trickle + tsocks + pan, oh my!
I'm trying to get the Pan newsreader to work over a socksified connection with some bandwidth-limiting in place. I've been able to get pan working fine with tsocks, and with trickle, but I can't seem to get it working with both at the same time. I'm assuming this is because trickle can't call tsocks because it isn't dynamic (so no trickle tsocks pan) and the other way around doesn't seem to socksify anything (e.g. no joy with tsocks trickle pan). Has anyone gotten a similar configuration to work? Debian Installation upon an Alpha Server 4000 5/400
To Whom It May Concern at Debian: First -- Love the release 4.0r1 -- best yet! Used Debian on 32 bit before. Next, not sure who to report this to and/or ask the question, as I am relatively new to using the Debian site (used Redhat and SuSe in past), anyway hopefully I have the right people I am e-mailing to in Debian --- The issue is booting Debian Disk1 KDE on an Alpha Server 4000 5/400 system -- after many iterations and contortions with different Ultra Wide Differential SCSI controllers -- I was able to utilize an Adaptec AHA-2944UW controller card to have Debian locate a disk and complete a full installation 99% successfully. The last 1% is the booting of the formated, file system created, installed Debian system which does NOT boot with the AHA-2944UW controller because the driver for this card is in the distribution and thus found a disk during the cdrom boot process, but the Alpha BIOS does NOT know about this card so any auto boot sequence is out of the question... So reporting to Debian my experience(s) is that: *** the Adaptec AHA-2944UW - ultra wide differential scsi card is NOT supported in the BIOS of Alpha Server 4000 and 4100's *** the preferred controllers (used for VMS clusters and/or Tru64 Unix on any 4000 or 4100 Alphas) KZPSA, KZPSA-BB, KZPSA-BB_N, or KZPSA-PS used for Raid support with Ultra Wide Differential SCSI support for SCSI disks and Storageworks is supported withing the BIOS of any 4000/4100 AlphaServer but there is NO DRIVER within the Debian Linux Distribution that I could find (or any Linux that I can find) and thus auto booting is impossible. Which brings me to my questions: 1) Obviously Debian is supported on the Alphas (as with the Adaptec card, once a disk is found in the boot process the auto load installers created by Debian work great!!!), but my question is two fold -- the listed drivers provided on either the standard disk1 or the KDE disk1 --- Is there documentation describing what each driver is and what it supports? for example there is a qla1280 or an sg or an ips -- what equipment does each support and 2) Is there a matrix documentation for Alpha Installations as to what are the preferred and usable controllers and associated functions such as Raid, Ultra Wide Differential etc. with each driver supplied by the out of the box Debian system? A few more questions: 3) If anyone at Debian supplies me with what controllers (cards) are supported by each listed driver supplied with respect to any ALPHA server, I will test the cards I have to give back a fuller matrix as to what cards are supported in the BIOS of an ALPHA, so after one installs Debian, the installed Debian will boot. A You are on the right track. I can NOT ping linux.csua.berkeley.edu or it's ip address which is 169.229.49.36. I can ping other computers on my home network. The modem I was referring to is my dsl modem. The install CD has not reported any errors up to the point I mention above. Is there a different install image I should download and use. I was not too keen on downloading the 20+ cd images for a complete CD install. Do you know which ones I would need just for gnome and firefox for starters? Wireless + Uverse a no-go
I just had ATT Uverse service installed, replacing Comcast cable. The desktop, running etch, performs with an ethernet connection, but I can't get wireless going on a laptop, IBM T30, also etch. The card is recognized: dmesg|grep wlan0: wlan0: vendor: 'NETGEAR WG511 54 Mbps Wireless PC Card' wlan0: ethernet device [MAC addreess] using NDIS driver netwg511 . . . I changed /etc/network/interfaces: iface wlan0 inet dhcp wireless-essid 2wire341 wireless-mode managed wireless key ** iwlist s finds 3 ssid, including mine. (How does iwlist find anything with no connection?) Running /etc/init.d/networking restart, I see: DHCPRELEASE on wlan0 to 192.168.1.1 port 67 send_packet: Network is unreachable 192.168.1.1 was the IP of the old router I had, now disconnected. The ATT Gateway - combo router, modem and whatever else - is 192.168.1.254. I haven't a clue where that wrong IP is coming from: grep -r 192.168.1.1 /etc /etc/ppp/options:# ms-dns 192.168.1.1 route -n comes up blank, of course. route -n on the desktop gives 192.168.15.0 as the Destination. I think the ATT system is DSL. Win2k connects with no problems. Any hints, answers, pointers, etc. greatly appreciated. Drag, drop and execute in Nautilus
I would like to be able drag the icon of a file to the icon of a script with the expected result that the script is ececuted with the filname as parameter. Nautilus does not let me do this. It has '.desktop' - files for this purpose, but I do not like the added complexity of this. ( Like hiding the extension. Try to change name of a .desktop : it won't let you ) My question is: Can I tell Nautilus to behave differently? Or: are there other filemanagers that let me do what -I- want ?
