Cups
Bonjour, Suite au passage de lenny a testing, j'ai un soucis avec cups. J'ai essayé d'enlever l'imprimante, pour reconfigurer cups, mais cela n'a pas marché. J'ai une hp PSC 2355. Le scanner fonctionne trés bien. Lorsque je veut imprimer la page test, il n'imprime qu'une seul ligne et tous s'arréte. Je n'ai apparament aucun message d'erreur. Tu aurais sans doute plus vite fait de sauvegarder les fichiers de configurations indispensables (sous /etc, éventuellement /usr en fonction de ta configuration), et de réinstaller le système en conservant le même /home (SANS demander le formatage à l'installation). Pour retrouver les mêmes logiciels il suffit d'enregistrer l'installation actuelle avec dpkg --get-selections mes_logiciels.txt de mettre le même fichier sources.list (pointant vers stable cette fois) sur le nouveau système, et de faire dpkg --set-selections mes_logiciels.txt apt-get dselect-upgrade Ça prendra moins de temps que d'essayer de descendre une version, et le résultat sera plus propre. Pas besoin de désintalle swfdec-mozilla, il suffit de modifier les alternatives pour indiquer qu'il faut utiliser flash-player. problème maj debian testing
Bonjour, Quand j'essaie de faire une maj sous debian testing, j'ai un conflit. D'autres personnes ont ce soucis? Les paquets suivants ont des dépendances non satisfaites : kdebase-bin-kde3: Est en conflit avec: kdebase-runtime-bin-kde4 mais 4:4.2.2-1 doit être installé. kdebase-runtime-bin-kde4: Est en conflit avec: kdebase-bin-kde3 mais 4:3.5.10.dfsg.1-2 est installé. Donc il n'y a plus qu'à attendre que ca se règle tout seul? Wicd : problème DHCP en Wifi
Bonjour, J'ai un gros problème avec Wicd !!! En effet, en filaire, il marche parfaitement (IP fixe ou DHCP). En revanche, en Wifi, il ne fonctionne qu'en IP fixe ! Dès que je tente une connexion en DHCP (et ce, dans pleins d'endroits différents), il bloque sur la récupération de l'adresse. J'ai fait des tests en laissant la config DHCP automatique, puis en forçant dhcpcd, puis pump, et pas mieux... Il ne se réglera pas tout seul puisque la cohabitation entre ces 2 environnements n'est pas prévue, donc il faudra migrer à KDE4 prochainement... Si tu veux rester en kde3 et maintenir à jour ta machine, il ne reste guère que apt (c'est ce que j'utilise sur mon portable) pour pouvoir envisager les updates. Si tu décide de migrer ver KDE4, il est fortement conseillé de sauvegarder ta config et l'application kaboom te proposera de transformer ta config kde3 et kde4. C'est bien ce que je pensais, mais j'espérrais que quelqu'un aurrait une astuce ;-) Il y a, mais comme le souligne Tom, « le résultat n'est pas garanti » : il suffit d'affecter une priorité strictement supérieure à 1000 à la version stable (man apt_preferences), soit par exemple, écrire dans /etc/apt/preferences : Package: * Pin: release a=stable Pin-Priority: 1001 Ensuite il faudra probablement filer un petit coup de pouce à ton logiciel de gestion de paquets (aptitude aide pas mal). Stable / aspire one / live usb : figeage a la détec tion ath5k

Il ne se réglera pas tout seul puisque la cohabitation entre ces 2 environnements n'est pas prévue, donc il faudra migrer à KDE4 prochainement... Si tu veux rester en kde3 et maintenir à jour ta machine, il ne reste guère que apt (c'est ce que j'utilise sur mon portable) pour pouvoir envisager les updates. Si tu décide de migrer ver KDE4, il est fortement conseillé de sauvegarder ta config et l'application kaboom te proposera de transformer ta config kde3 et kde4. Veux tu mon .config et les deux patch que j'ai appliqué sur un 2.6.29 ? Je peux aussi te donner mes configurations pour limiter les ecritures sur le SSD, monter un max en RAM, permettre la mise en veille et l'hibernation... Se puede editar tantas veces como se quiera. Dado a que, el xorg.conf, _SIEMPRE_ se hace la suma MD5 desde siempre. Yo lo he comprobado con mis propios ojos desde siempre, y sí que hace dichas sumas sin necesidad de dpkg-reconfigure. Si quieres afinarlo tú mismo, no tienes ese problema. No te hace falta el dpkg-reconfigure, a no ser que quieras reconfigurarlo por un fallo que detectes, o que no te esté dando los valores correctos. En mi caso, bajo Sid, al hacer eso, te deja un fichero por defecto. Puesto que, el script o los scripts de creación del propio fichero xorg.conf, pues lo deja casi en blanco, si n nada, ni detección de hardware, ni nada. Vamos, que no te muestra mucha cosa. TAn sólo, detectando la tarjeta de vídeo y poca cosa más. Pero poco. Lo que pasa, es que, algunas configuraciones no están estandarizadas en el dpkg-reconfigure, pero puedes tranquilamente afinarlo a lo que te interese. Es decir, si tienes una nVidia, o que tengas una tarjeta que necesita configuraciones especiales, adelante. No pierdes nada. TAn sólo, detectando la tarjeta de vídeo y poca cosa más. Pero poco. Lo que pasa, es que, algunas configuraciones no están estandarizadas en el dpkg-reconfigure, pero puedes tranquilamente afinarlo a lo que te interese. Es decir, si tienes una nVidia, o que tengas una tarjeta que necesita configuraciones especiales, adelante. No pierdes nada. Pero por otra parte el tuyo es el segundo comentario que leo sobre que se pueden agregar especificaciones al estilo de lo que era el archivo hasta Etch. Sonido silenciado al inicio en Debian squeeze
Hola a t...@s: Tengo Debian squeeze, escritorio gnme. Cada vez que inicio el sistema, aparece el sonido silenciado. En línea de comandos activo alsamixer y todo lo pongo a 100, y el control de volumen lo activo todo, pero cuando vuelvo a reiniciar, o apago y enciendo, vuelve aparecer el sonido silenciado, y otra vez tengo que activa de forma manual. Me podían indicarme como lo configuro para que al inicial el sistema no aparezca el sonido silenciado. He corregido algunos parámentros de los archivos /etc/exports, /etc/host.allow y /etc/hosts.deny. Ahora al ejecutar el comando rpcinfo -p ip_del_servidor me muestra la información de los demonios que sostienen el servidor NFS pero al intentar montar sigue dando el mismo error con rpcbind. Leí en la zona de problemas del howto oficial que el problema que tengo podría deberse a la incorrecta configuración de los archivos /etc/hosts.allow y /etc/hosts.deny. Tenía razón, la ip del cliente no era correcta. Pero una vez corregido y reiniciado sigue persistienddo el error. Gracias. El problema se encontraba en la configuración del cliente. Modificados los archivos /etc/hosts.allow y /etc/hosts.deny y re-arrancando los demonios conrrespodientes en el cliente (aún no se muy bien porque) /etc/init.d/nfs-common funcionó. Gracias. Re: Kernel 2.6.29 y drivers Nvidia
Ahora mismo tengo instalado el kernel 2.6.26-2-686. Para mi GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X tengo instalados los drivers para NVIDIA que trae Debian. Especificamente los legacy-96xx . Lei que el kernel 2.6.29 daba mejor rendimiento (a veces). Le instale el kernel 2.6.29-2-686 (sin borrar el otro kernel) y cuando arranco con este kernel no me arrancan las X, obviamente. Tras un aptitude search puedo ver claramente que en los repositorios lenny, squeeze y sid no hay todavia unos drivers legacy-96xx para este kernel, estan los drivers para el kernel 2.6.26-2-686, y claro, me da error al compilar mediante la orden: m-a a-i nvidia-kernel-legacy-96xx-source -f . ¿Estos drivers se pueden encontrar en algun lado? Aunque esten en pruebas todavia. NO me interesan los drivers proporcionados por NVIDIA. Por cierto, es cosa mia, o ¿Debian se me ha vuelto mas lento desde hace unos dias? Uso squeeze. Los drivers proporcionados por NVIDIA en su web son los mismos que has estado intentando instalar desde los repositorios de debian. Así que ve a la página de NVIDIA y baja el driver correspondiente para linux. Si lo que quieres son los drivers libres no proporcionados por nvidia lo has estado haciendo mal desde el principio. Para los drivers libres no hay que instalar nada con APT ni M-A (esos son los propietarios) ya que vienen en el propio kernel. Solamente necesitas haberlos compilado cuando configuraste la lista a compilar con menuconfig del kernel. Suerte.

Olá, Estou pensando em fazer um relógio de ponto com leitor biométrico (digital dos dedos) em Python sobre Linux, mas alguém sabe se já existe alguma alternativa e/ou projeto iniciado? Caso não tenha nada nesse sentido, existe alguma biblioteca em Python que interaja com leitores biométricos e compare uma leitura com várias outras (os 10 dedos de dezenas de funcionários) e me retorne um código que identifique a quem pertence essa digital lida? Hoje uso meu dedo indicador direito no notebook e funciona muito bem para abrir a seção do Gnome e senha de root, mas somente uso, e é ruim, daqueles de passar o dedo, não programei uma linha sequer ainda, e pretendo expandir isso para os leitores externos USB, alguma dica? gnome-panel: Major breakage in unstable
A heads-up to those running unstable/sid. The latest gnome-panel that has just entered unstable is severely broken. It is the first revision of GNOME 2.26. When logging in, you get an infinite number of Starting File Manager entries on the panel, and CPU usage runs very high, continuously. It renders the desktop effectively unusable. I had to downgrade to the squeeze versions of: gnome-panel gnome-panel-data gnome-session gnome-settings-daemon It looks like only the amd64 architecture is affected at the moment, as the other architectures have 2.24 or older. I do not know whether mod 2) alone is sufficient; I did both. The system may be getting slower because I have been configuring and installing new staff on it. I just wonder if there is any way to tune on it, or maybe somewhere many caches need to be cleaned up? I also used ext3 (journal) as my file system when I first time installed the system. This may be another factor of the issue. For sake of safety, I don't know how to remove the journal features without damaging my system with minimum risks. Hi! Just noticed that bug #299930 contains a single SPAM message among several normal ones. When I follow the this bug log contains spam link, it asks for confirmation: Yes, report bug 299930 as spam. What will happen if I confirm? Will the whole bug report be marked as SPAM (as the wording for the confirmation suggests) or will it just cause someone to scan the bug report manually for (single) SPAM messages (as the first wording suggested)? Most probably of some library or configuration file that was upgraded. Processes that were started before an upgrade will normally continue to use the old versions of their libraries and configuration files until they are restarted (or until they are told to re-read their configuration if they have a special command or signal for this). BTW, my machine gets rebooted almost daily. Did you install the package dosfstools from apt? Yes, it's the newest version. I don't think it is installed in a default debian install and that has all the extras needed to mount fat32. Mount combines FAT12, FAT16 and FAT32 under the type vfat. I don't think mount cares too much about the partition type in fdisk if you specifically pass it the filesystem type using the -t option. Hmm, did that with mount -t vfat /dev/sda3 /mnt/test ... Usually it's a random name with letters and numbers. When you see the size stabilizing, or the progress bar in the player full (pause the video, but leave it open), you just have to copy that file from /tmp, rename it with extension .flv. VLC will happily play those. If you tweak you flashplayer not to cache content locally, just tweak it back using the setting panel from Adobe there : http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html the image in the upper right part of the page is a setting panel, what you set there is set locally on your computer in ~/.macromedia/. Ah, yes. I understand this. BTW, my machine gets rebooted almost daily. The checkrestart utility (from debian-goodies) will tell you which processes should be restarted after an upgrade. I also usually do an update and upgrade daily on this workstation. I always know (from aptitude) if some processes need to be restarted. It's also expensive, as you'll probably want to rely on a specialist of data retrieving. If you can save the disk, and are willing to learn how to use data forensic tools by yourself, you might be able to retrieve some data with tools like the duo sleuthkit and autopsy. Of course the results depends on how you formatted the drive, if it was a simple change of partition table you might recover most data, if it involved writing zeros or random data to the disk your chances are really slim...
