 Bonjour,

 Tu as tenté Chromium ?

 fais: En administrateur
 aptitude install googleearth-package lib32nss-mdns
 En utilisateur
 make-googleearth-package --force
 dpkg -i /home/thierry/googleearth_xxx-amd64.deb

Pues copiar/pegar y editarla a mano

Recuperar GRUB
De Guía Ubuntu
Saltar a navegación, búsqueda

bash
$ sudo mount /dev/sda1 /mnt

Ahora, monta el resto de los dispositivos:

$ sudo mount --bind /dev /mnt/dev
$ sudo mount --bind /proc /mnt/proc

$ sudo chroot /mnt

# grub-install --recheck /dev/sda

$ sudo update-grub2

Si el comando no te funciona, quizás necesites instalar el paquete grub2:

$ sudo aptitude install grub2

siguiente comando:

sudo mount /dev/sda2 /mnt/boot

[editar]
Grub 1

[editar]
Usando Super Grub Disk

Pues copiar/pegar y editarla a mano

http://www.labnol.org/internet/guide-to-useful-bookmarklets/7931/

2010-08-13 Thread Abejo

Porém quando rodo o ipsec setup --start o log me retorna o seguinte:

achei mais confortavel pelo tamanho da tela.
As teclas sao bem confortaveis.
A camera funciona mto bem tb.

[DEBIAN] RESOLVIDO - Detectando placa onboard primeiro

A solução a curto prazo é atualizar o kernel.

Just a quick question that may not be related to the issue you are

You can use ssh (command line), sftp:// (nautilus/konqueror 4.4) or

In answer to your question, I was trying for one size fits all and a

am not the sharpest tack in the box when it comes to networking. Yes the
L systems are both Linux systems.

Not unrealistic at all, but samba has it own tricks and well-knowing
them is not an easy task. I avoid using samba as much as I can just for
that... is a bit complex to deal with when it comes to posix-winnt

Some thoughts for your problem... check samba server logs and, one more

 Thanks for the reply

 Maybe this will help...

The make headers_install command exports the kernel's header files in a

The kernel header files can be generated from the kernel sources.

 Define INSTALL_HDR_PATH= for output location.

 http://www.mjmwired.net/kernel/Documentation/make/headers_install.txt

 so for clarity

 install linux-image-2.6.35-trunk-amd64 linux-source-2.6.35

 tar jxf /usr/src/linux-source-2.6.35.tar.bz2
 cp /boot/config-2.6.35-trunk-amd64 /usr/src/linux-source-2.6.35/.config
 make oldconfig
 make headers_install

 should have me done :)

A Debian source package for 2.6.35 is also

Hey

If you are having problems with the VB modules, check the
/lib/modules/kernel version/build Symlink, I have found that for
some reason it keeps pointing to the src dir that i built the kernel
from rather than the header files.

Angus.

Android phone is not recognized by Android SDK, despite udev conf

2010-08-13 Thread Merciadri Luca
Hi,

I've got an HTC Desire that I generally connect to this computer, and
sharing pictures, videos, etc., works great. Some weeks ago, I tried
using the Android SDK for x86. After having installed it, Say that my
Android SDK is located at ~/android-sdk/. Then, I directly noticed that
~/android-sdk/tools/ddms wrote `? unknown device' for the connected
(and listed device). In the console, I receive

==
14:25 W/ddms: Unable to get frame buffer: device () request
rejected: insufficient permissions for device
==

I then checked

==
$ ./adb devices
List of devices attached
no permissions
==

There appears to be a permission problem. I then wrote a
`51-android.rules' file (with chmod a+r) in /etc/udev/rules.d/, such that

==
# cat 51-android.rules
SUBSYSTEM==usb, ATTRS{idVendor}==0bb4, ATTRS{idProduct}==0c87,

same problems. Any idea?

Strange google chrome gdk error.

2010-08-13 Thread Angus Hedger
Hey,

I have this odd error that has been bugging me, and I haven't been
able to google up anything to help me fix it, only stuff I could find
was from 2002 on a freeBSD mailing list.

To summarise my problem; I have a quite resource heavy windows program
i run in WINE via playonlinux, after running it for quite some time,
when i try to open any pages in google chrome, all I get a blank white
page, the ui is still there, but nothing renders. The only way to fix
this is to close WINE, once i do this it works fine.

The only program I can tell that is effected is chrome (I am also
running xchat, iceweasel, pidgen, xfce term, and others).

This has been happening to me with the default debian 2.6.32 kernel,
as well as 2.6.34.1 (vanilla) 2.6.35 (vanilla) 2.6.35 (patched with
bfq and some other responsiveness patches).

This is the only error message that I have found:

[30220:30220:283489464055:ERROR:chrome/app/chrome_dll_main.cc(248)]
Gdk: shmget failed: error 28 (No space left on device)

BST 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux

$ cat /proc/sys/kernel/shmmax

If there is any other info needed to help diagnose this, pleases let me know!

Thanks in advanced.

Angus

As for the OP, please provide more information, such as:

(1) Where did you get your 2.6.33 kernel? Backports? Experimental?
Custom built? etc. How did you install it?

(2) What bootloader do you use? grub? (version 1) grub-pc (version 2),
lilo? extlinux? etc.

(3) What is the contents of /etc/kernel-img.conf?

(4) What is the contents of your boot loader configuration file?
(/etc/lilo.conf for lilo, /boot/grub/menu.lst for grub version 1,
etc.)

(5) What scripts exist in /etc/kernel/postinst.d, /etc/kernel/postrm.d,
and /etc/initramfs/post-update.d?

(6) Are symbolic links used for the kernel, such as vmlinuz,
and vmlinuz.old? And what about the initial RAM file systems?
Are symbolic links used for them too? (initrd.img, initrd.img.old)
If so, where are these symbolic links? (/, /boot, etc.)

(7) What exactly are the symptoms of failure when you attempt to
boot the 2.6.33 kernel?

you are building out-of-kernel-source-tree module packages in addition
to your kernel package. Here's an excerpt from one of my previous posts
on this thread:

   (3) If I am using out-of-kernel-source-tree module source packages,
I have to copy them too. By default, the source code installs to
/usr/src/modules, I think. All the same issues arise here. And
then I have to use the $MODULE_LOC environment variable to tell
make-kpkg where to find the module source code. More overrides.
It's just simpler to be root and do everything in its default location.

Then of course there are disk space requirements, if the source is
copied instead of moved. Every solution breeds more problems.
(author unknown)

The latest version of my kernel building web page, revised yesterday
(http://www.wowway.com/~zlinuxman/Kernel.htm), recommends unpacking,
configuring, and compiling the kernel from its default location
as a non-root user which is a member of group src. It can be the
system administrator's non-superuser self or an id created
specifically for kernel building that is enrolled in group src,
at the administrator's discretion. I have tested the procedure,
and it works. That's my current recommendation. Obviously, you
are entitled to disagree if you like.

grub2: VFS: Unable to mount root fs

2010-08-13 Thread Simon Brandmair
Hi everyone,

I upgraded grub to grub2 (squeeze) and at first I couldn't boot my linux
kernel (2.6.32), which work fine with the old grub. The boot process
stopped with the following messages: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on
unknown-block(0,0).

After some research, I figured that the root fs is not set correctly in /
boot/grub/grub.cfg. The root fs was defined with a uuid string, which I
confirmed as correct. After altering the uuid string to /dev/sda2, linux
would boot normally.

Since grub.cfg is not supposed to be edited, I added to /etc/default/grub
(thanks to https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Grub2):
# Uncomment if you don't want GRUB to pass root=UUID=xxx parameter to
# Linux
GRUB_DISABLE_LINUX_UUID=true

and then ran `update-grub`.

I thought this might be helpful for others running into the same problem.
Also, any idea why the (again: correct) uuid string didn't work? I have
two other systems with a similar set-up and defining the root fs with uuid
works just fine.

Cheers,
Simon

Better RTCM → Read The *Correct* Manual

Well, «Correct» is a stretch.

I just found out that you need to put *exactly* this as a pam_access
parameter:

listsep = ,

If you don't put the spaces (as in the manual's example), then the
content of access.conf will be silently ignored, and everybody be
allowed to log in.

The line there looks like this:

-:ALL EXCEPT root,(ldapgroup),(DOMAIN+windows users):ALL

Replacing the remaining spaces by commas also works, but doesn't appear
to be necessary.

(1) Where did you get your 2.6.33 kernel? Backports? Experimental?
Custom built? etc. How did you install it?

it is custom built kernel, compiled by a colleague some time ago, it is
basically a debian package which is installed
Installation is being triggered as late command in preseed.cfg

(2) What bootloader do you use? grub? (version 1) grub-pc (version 2),
 lilo? extlinux? etc.

  I use grub version 0.97

(3) What is the contents of /etc/kernel-img.conf?

Will try installation again and let you know.

(4) What is the contents of your boot loader configuration file?
(/etc/lilo.conf for lilo, /boot/grub/menu.lst for grub version 1,
 etc.)

menu.lst contains two entries for kernel 2.6.26.2, which boots perfectly.

(5) What scripts exist in /etc/kernel/postinst.d, /etc/kernel/postrm.d,
 and /etc/initramfs/post-update.d?

Have to try to install it again and will let you know.

When I boot with old kernel under /boot, i can not see initrd.img for
2.6.33.3;
means it is missing nor links exists.

 (7) What exactly are the symptoms of failure when you attempt to
 boot the 2.6.33 kernel?

At installation time it does not give any error and system reboots and
boots with old kernel.

I think first issue is initrd.img is missing for 2.6.33.3 and that is the
reason menu list also not being updated.

Thanks!

Samba matchname: host name/address mismatch: ::ffff:127.0.0.1 != localhost

  Matchname failed on localhost :::127.0.0.1

As accessing files from Windows clients still works I've been able to work
around it, so I've ignored it, but now I think it's preventing me from
adding printers. There are lots of similar reports around, but I can't find
any solutions. I am using only Debian Lenny packages with security updates
and proposed updates. I am using dnsmasq for DNS. My smb.conf file is below.
I have not knowingly done any customisation or configuration relating to IPv6.

Is this a bug in my configuration, samba or somewhere else, possibly dnsmasq?

Obviously this is IPv6 related. As I can't find any way of disabling IPv6 in
Samba, the simplest solution appears to be to disable IPv6 on the entire
machine. Has anyone got any better suggestions?

Thanks,

Roger

problem is that it looks like unrecognized by update-alternatives:

There are 2 alternatives which provide `java'.

  SelectionAlternative

Why? What can I do to make it recognized?

Ah, the only stable install I have is a headless server. All of my
graphical installs are either testing or unstable.

Re: Why is /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun/sun-java6-6-12/jdk1.6.0_12 not recognized in update-alternatives?

Some months ago, I installed a Sun VM and SDK (I think this is so): jdk

 installed at /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun/sun-java6-6-12/jdk1.6.0_12. The
problem is that it looks like unrecognized by update-alternatives:

 # update-alternatives --config java
There are 2 alternatives which provide `java'.

   SelectionAlternative

   1/usr/bin/gij-4.3
 *+2/usr/lib/jvm/java-gcj/jre/bin/java

 Why?

I think because you installed the package from outside Debian repos and
so it got not recognized inside the whole package database.

***
ls -l /etc/alternatives | grep java-6-sun
***

If it's not there, I guess it won't be detected/managed by update-
alternatives :-?

What can I do to make it recognized?

Hmmm, by creating a symbolic link in the above dir? But maybe not the
better way, though. I would read man update-alternatives to find out.

Greetings,

Re: building 2.6.35

2010-08-13 Thread Arthur Machlas
The latest version of my kernel building web page, revised yesterday
 (http://www.wowway.com/~zlinuxman/Kernel.htm), recommends unpacking,
configuring, and compiling the kernel from its default location
as a non-root user which is a member of group src.  It can be the
system administrator's non-superuser self or an id created
specifically for kernel building that is enrolled in group src,
at the administrator's discretion.  I have tested the procedure,
and it works.  That's my current recommendation.  Obviously, you
are entitled to disagree if you like.

It's a pretty great document Stephen, and I don't think I mentioned
earlier that it was my first and authoritative reference when first
starting to build kernels, for exactly the reason you noted, much
documentation is out-of-date or not debian specific. So thanks for
that, belatedly.

One thing I think is missing, that I had to discover myself, and
perhaps is related to the OPs question, is that sometimes you need the
headers and even the source for the custom kernels, e.g., Virtualbox
from upstream. In which case, adding kernel_headers and/or
kernel_source to the make-kpkg build line is a noteworthy item, since
it will build debs' and take care of installing them correctly without
linking back to the build directory when searching for source.

Best,
AM
