Lenteur pour créer un miroir debian
Bonjour.
Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).
No aguardo e valeu pelas dicas! Re: Postfix!
Re: Two email accounts

I wish to have these two accounts on the same machine but completely separated. I'm running squeeze on an i5-750 system with kde desktop and icedove. What is the best way to do this. Gary R. I do this, or rather I think I do - you give little details of precisely what you mean. I have a personal email domain and a business one, that are different. The dns records for these domains both point at my home server running exim. So mail for both domains arrive at my home server where some simple exim rules detects which domain it is, and stores personal mail in my personal user account (alan) and stores my business mail in a separate user account which I call hartley (for hartley-consultants.com). My wife also has an account for her e-mail The core of this has two elements 1) /etc/aliases alan.chandler:a...@hartley-consultants.com this causes any address that starts alan.chandler@... to be given a valid local part (alan) (so it can be validated) - I have similar aliases for addresses like sa...@hartley-consultants.com and 2) This router, which matches the domain names related to my business and delivers them to hartley_transport (I won't replicate that here, it is just a simple transport that delivers to the Maildir in the hartley account) # # this router matches mail to hartley-consultants.* and redirects to deliver to local user hartley # hartley: debug_print = R: local_user for $local_part@hartley-consultants.* driver = accept domains = hartley-consultants.co.uk : hartley-consultants.com : hartley-web.co.uk : hartley-web.com check_local_user local_parts = ! +not_valid_local transport = hartley_delivery cannot_route_message = Unknown hartley-consultants user On the server I run courier imap (and imaps) to provide imap services for all the user accounts. This means I have both alan and hartley (and others for my wife etc) providing imap services that can be accessed remotely. On my desktop I run icedove and it access the both alan and hartley accounts by having them defined as separate accounts. icedove integrates them slightly - it stores all the inboxes and sent mail boxes together in the folder hierarchy, but separates out the subfolders into separate accounts. I can also access the hartley account from my iphone (using the imaps service) I also have other e-mail accounts one at my isp and another a googlemail account. I user fetchmail on my server to fetch them and inject the messages received from them into the incoming mail stream. -- Alan Chandler http://www.chandlerfamily.org.uk -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Re: Cleaning DHCP and Host Info for New LAN
On 16/02/11 22:38, Hal Vaughan wrote: I'm working with some embedded systems where the OS will be Squeeze on a CF card. The idea is to have a basic setup that will be stored in a zip file and when it's time to create a new system, the files will be unzipped onto a new CF card, then the card will be put in a new system. Of course to do this, I have to start with a base system or prototype and I don't want the info for my LAN or anything else like that to be passed on or left in the file system of the newer systems. When the new CF card is put into each new system and it is turned on, there's a command that will make the new system automatically download a config program that will make all needed changes to the embedded computer. That leads to the question, What do I change? I'll be changing the host name, which is in /etc/hostname and /etc/hosts. I also need to change the host name in /etc/exim4/update-exim4.conf.conf and in /etc/mailname. The user names in passwd and so on don't need changing, since each system has the same user name. I also know the domain is specified in /etc/resolv.conf. But if I'm getting the info for a network connection through DHCP, won't they be overwritten once the info comes in from the DHCP? Are there other files where I'd have to change the values so the new system doesn't contain references to the original LAN or host name or any other similar info? I'm not worried about files that will be re-written on the first boot (like anything dhclient or any DHCP stuff will re-write once it's on a new LAN), but I'd like to know if I'm missing any info that I need to erase or change. I'm not sure, but I think most of the info would be related to DNS or DHCP. Thanks for any info on this. Hal Two small questions. 1) Why do you need exim? you could consider ssmtp although you still need to make sure /etc/ssmtp/ssmtp.conf has the correct stuff in for your needs (it needs to know the mail hub to send mail to and it needs to know the domain name mail needs to seem to come from) 2) Your /var files will have loads of evidence of where the device has been. What are doing about that. I'm thinking about /var/log stuff but also thinks like previous dhcp leases which are stored there. -- Alan Chandler http://www.chandlerfamily.org.uk -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Re: Unable to print from Windows Vista Laptop via Samba
Hi, Not sure really what you mean about the first point, where should I put that in, but smbclient -L server shows the printer, it's shown on /etc/printcap and if I set windows to print to \\192.168.1.2\printer name I get a test page fine. Not sure if this last one bypasses Samba. What I can't do is get the printer to show up when you browse for it. Continous device numbering in udev rules
Hello, I would like to write a udev rule that manages it own device numbering scheme and creates symlinks with continuous numbers. I already know how to write a udev rule that selects devices, e.g. based on manufacturer and product attributes, and creates a symlink for each matching device. Using the string substitution %n, I can also append a unique number to each symlink. Now, my problem with %n is that I assume the numbers used in the symlinks will not necessarily start with 0 and might not be continuous: If my rules looks at devices dev0, dev1, dev2, and dev3 and matches dev1 and dev3, I guess I'll end up with symlinks sym1 and sym3. I'm looking for a way to create symlinks sym0 and sym1. Are there any provisions in udev to achieve this? How should a rule (or set of rules?) look like that does what I want? RE: Debian Squeeze 64-bit, dlopen() missing?
OK, but it does fail. What does config.log tell you at this point about the failure reason? Note that the configure test is still broken; it's linking with many unnecessary libraries, and it should only link with libdl to check for the presence of dlopen. A problem with one of the other libs could result in a test failure. Hi, I've sorted this out now. The configure test of pmacct is obviously a bit.. odd. It seems the problem was never that it couldn't find dlopen(). Look at this part of the full config.log I pasted earlier: configure:2874: gcc -o conftest -O2 -Wl,--export-dynamic conftest.c -ldl -L/usr/local/lib -lpcap -lpfring -L/usr/lib -lmysqlclient 15 /usr/local/lib/libpfring.so: undefined reference to `pfring_enable_hw_timestamp' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status The problem lies with the libpfring.so library. I cheated the configure script by installing the normal libpcap libpcap-dev packages (without pfring support) an ran a configure.. which worked fine. I then switched back to the pfring libpcap and ran a configure, which then found dlopen in -ldl (but cached from the previous configure). However the make failed on undefined reference to `pfring_enable_hw_timestamp' anyway. I went back to my 32-bit test server (where everything works), and noticed that I had checked out a later SVN of PF_RING on the 64-bit box. So there had been an update during the hour between my tests on the 32-bit and the 64-bit squeeze. A bit embarrassing, heh. Needless to say, the newer SVN version doesn't work on 32-bit either. PF_RING isn't stable and the source is only available via SVN (afaik). I'll take this up with the PF_RING devs instead :) Thanks for your time though! Dig is explicitly looking for the name maroon.. 2. Ping, on the other hand, is using the resolver library that honours the search directive in /etc/resolv.conf. This means that the value will be appended to each unqualified request prior to lookup, i.e. ping will expect to find maroon.local. My recommendation would be either to change your local DNS server so that it adds .local to all unqualified hostnames, or to remove the search directive from your resolv.conf. I think your next posting mentions that you're using dnsmasq, in which case the options to consider would be domain and expand-hosts, and possibly domain-needed. The beauty of that is that you can define keyboard shortcuts to switch from one workspace to another (binding them to, say, a modifier key + F1-F12 combo). That way, you can switch to any given workspace with just one keyboard stroke. Another practical way of navigating is via a keyboard combination for next-workspace and previous-workspace (i.e. workspace to the left and workspace to the right of the current one). Then, given a big enough screen, you could open 4 gnome-terminals on each workspace, and arrange them so they don't even overlap (i.e. so that you have a clean overview of all 4 at any moment). That way, you have 48 terminal set up for extremely easy navigation. Further possible improvements: a) perhaps GNOME allows for even more workspaces than 12 (I've never needed more -- or less -- than 8, so can't really tell). That way, you could potentially set up 50 different workspaces for 50 individual gnome-terminals, each of them accessible by a dedicated keyboard shortcut; or b) you could group your gnome-terminals by task, in order to memorize them easily. broken python-turbogears dependency list?
Hello, I just moved a system using turbogears to Debian v6. I found that simply importing turbogears from python (2.6) yielded import errors which could be fixed by installing the following packages: - python-genshi - python-tgmochikit My understanding is that turbogears moved from kid to genshi for the default templating system between versions 1.04 and 1.1 so I believe the following dependency changes are in order: - python-kid: change to recommends - python-turbokid: change to recommends - python-genshi: change to depends I am less familiar with the change to depend on tgmochikit, but since importing turbogears imports tgmochikit, it seems to me at least the dependency should be added: - python-tgmochikit: add to depends Do others see this issue too? Does anyone have any additional insight? Are there any other packages that should be downgraded in the python-turbogears dependency list? Is the best way to get this fixed to file a bug? Re: Moving Lenny from Virtual Machine to Physical

Now when I boot, the grub is working. However, when trying to load lenny (in initramfs), it fail to mount the hard drive. After doing some reading, I found that most probably /etc/fstab has wrong disk label. If this sounds right, how can I mount the real partition so that I could change the fstab? Open GRUB console and run: find /boot/vmlinuz That will output the location of the disk that is now holding the root= stanza. You can then return to GRUB menu (Esc) and (e)dit the line accordingly and (b)oot. Once you're in, edit /etc/fstab to update the new device location.
