Je suis en KDE 4.7.4 depuis qu'il est en experimental.

Effectivement ça fait peur de voir un kdebase dans les paquet supprimés... mais en 
réalité, ce sont de paquet obsolètes qui sont supprimés à l'upgrade...


Je te conseille de faire un dist-upgrade et de redémarrer complètement après, parce que 
beaucoup de chose change au niveau de la gestion de DBus et des différents services 
associés... Après, ça roule ;)

Changement de partition /var = gros problème d'apt

Après avoir voulu transferer mon /var qui était sur la partition principale sur une autre 
partition, je me retrouve avec un gros pb !

Je n'ai plus aucune version de soft, tout se passe comme si la base d'apt n'existait plus, 
pourtant tout les fichiers sont là !

Est-ce que quelqu'un à une solution miracle pour remettre tout ça en place ?

Bien sûr, je n'ai pas été prudent et j'ai bêtement supprimé l'ancien /var pensant que tout 
roulait après le démarrage de la machine !

J'ai réussi à débloquer la situation, mais j'ai bien peur que le remède soit 
pire que le mal !

J'ai réussi à faire un aptitude update en repositionnant le APT::Default-Release sur 
stable, après quelques injures sur les signatures invalides la mise à jour des miroirs à 
bien voulue s'effectuée...


Mais maintenant, tout semble laisser penser que la base apt est complètement 
vide !

Heureusement que les développeurs debian sont plus prévoyant que leurs 
utilisateurs !

J'ai pu restaurer la copie de sauvegarde d'hier à partir du /var/backups de 
/var/lib/dpkg/status (infos trouvées ici : 
http://uug.byu.edu/pipermail/uug-list/2009-October/002922.html) et c'est reparti !

vu que je ne suis pas le seul a rencontrer ce soucis j'imagine que c'est 
un comportement par défault...

Ah oui ! Mais le problème, c'est que Jérémy et moi-même utilisons une
synthèse vocale, donc nous sommes forcés d'utiliser l'option softvol,
pour que mplayer baisse le son indépendament du volume pcm. C'est
pourquoi, les paramètres de volume ne sont pas gardés d'une instance de
mplayer à l'autre.

J'ai cherché, mais n'ai pas trouvé de solution. J'ai tenté de voir
aussi, s'il était possible que mplayer passe d'un fichier d'une
playlist à l'autre, sans se fermer, ce qui aurait pu résoudre je pense
le problème, mais pas trouvé non plus, même avec les options -idle et
autre.

Tu pourrais déjà utiliser un compresseur-limiteur (type ladspa)
comme périphérique de sortie (ALSA), histoire de limiter l'excursion
de volume et de ne pas parasiter les autres sorties.

Et il existe aussi l'option -mixer-channel qui te permet de dériver
l'audio sur une autre ligne de mixage (Line ou CD, par exemple), et
qui peut peut-être éviter le PB du softvol.

Si no quieres tener problemas, deberás bajarte el Java desde la propia web
de Sun: http://java.sun.com/

Con que se baje, tanto el PCalendar, como el Java y ponerlo donde quieras
y añadir las l?eas de Java como éstas en .bashrc...:

Como bien dice esdebian esta negando que puedas acceder,
lamentablemente no puedes exigir o pedir explicaciones por que de
partida yo si fuera el dueño no te la daria, por el simple hecho que
es un sitio que ofrece para muchos linuxeros información pero sin un
lucro que yo vea que un usuario visitante me oblique a que siempre le
de lo que necesita y esto no por que seas cubano, el día de mañana
puede perfectamente bloquear el trafico de mi pais chile a ese sitio.
creo que estamos perdiendo el tiempo hablando de esto y lo unico es
pensar que se pueda habilitar de alguna forma ese sitio o tener algun
mirror de ese sitio en alguna otra parte.

Estimado, el DUEÑO de esdebian tiene todo el derecho de negar el
acceso a quien quiera, ya que él paga el dominio, él paga el hosting,
él pone su tiempo y esfuerzo. Si no les gusta las reglas del admin,

Y yo no tengo problemas ni con cubanos ni con quien sea, me da lo
mismo de donde eres y como eres, si me molestan ciertas actitudes.

Podes instalar vnc.. hacerlo correr para escuchar solo en localhost y
conectarte con un tunel ssh

En el server.. el vnc debe estar configurado para que el display 1 sea
para el usuario usuario

vncviewer -via usuario@host localhost:1

donde 1 seria el display donde pones a correr tu server.. pero
asegurate que este escuchando en 127.0.0.1

Hola,

Si la PC con Windows ya tiene un servidor de VNC (ejemplo Real VNC) puedes
acceder a este escritorio con alguno de estos clientes desde Linux:

xtightvncviewer - virtual network computing client software for X
vinagre - remote desktop client for the GNOME Desktop

Hay mas opciones pero puedes probar estas, saludos.

 Si pensé en una máquina virtual como para simular windows, pero ejecuté

Τα μόνα σωστά σχόλιο που έχω ακούσει τον τελευταίο καιρό σε αυτήν την λίστα.
Αυτός ο κατακερματισμός είναι κάτι που δε μπορώ να καταλάβω. Μια ελληνική 
κοινότητα Debian -ή οποιουδήποτε άλλου project δεν μπορείς να τη 
δημιουργήσεις με μια λίστα. Αν υπάρχει λόγος και ανάγκη θα δημιουργηθεί μόνη 
της, στην χειρότερη περίπτωση να χρειαστεί απλά ένας καταλύτης. Και ακόμη και 
να μαζέψεις 5-10 Debian Έλληνες users/developers δεν έχεις κοινότητα, events 
δεν οργανώνουμε, installfests δεν οργανώνουμε, release parties δεν οργανώνουμε 
-TBH το θεωρώ γελοίο, αλλά τόσο σπάνια που θα ήταν κιόλας...

Τέλος πάντων, το τελευταίο σχόλιο είναι το πιο σωστό: αν έχεις κάτι να πεις 
για το Debian, θα το πεις σε όλους τους χρήστες του και όχι μόνο στους 
Έλληνες. 

Να το εξηγήσουμε λίγο γιατί πολλοί θα παρεξηγηθούν. Γιατί οι άλλες χώρες έχουν 
δικές τους λίστες λοιπόν; Γιατί υπάρχει *μεγάλος* αριθμός χρηστών που δεν 
ξέρει γρι αγγλικά και δε μπορεί να ρωτήσει κάτι στην debian-user ή σε κάποια 
άλλη λίστα -πχ Γάλλοι, Ιταλοί, Γερμανοί, υπάρχει μεγάλο ποσοστό χρηστών εκεί 
που δεν ξέρουν αγγλικά και έτσι χρειάζεται μια τέτοια λίστα.

Στην περίπτωση μας όμως, ούτε καν απλούς χρήστες δε μπορώ να ονομάσω τους 
περισσότερους από τα μέλη της λίστας, καθώς οι μισοί και πάνω είναι έμπειροι 
προγραμματιστές, sysadmins, κλπ και τους ξέρω από άλλες λίστες και έχουν μια 
χαρά γνώση αγγλικάν και σπάνια χρειάζονται βοήθεια για να το ζητήσουν από τη 
λίστα κιόλας. Θα μου προξενούσε έκπληξη αν πάνω από 10-20% ήταν νέοι χρήστες 
Debian που χρειάζονται βοήθεια σε κάποιο προβλημα. 

Κοιτώντας τα archive κάθε τόσο πετάγεται ένα εντελώς άσχετο θέμα με τον 
υποτιθέμενο σκοπό της λίστας και οι μισοί ενοχλούνται και ειρωνεύονται γιατί 
δε φτάνει που έχουμε μια λίστα χωρίς περιεχόμενο έχουμε και spam από πάνω. Και 
οι άλλοι μισοί ενοχλούνται με τους πρώτους μισούς. 

Οπότε ποια η λύση; Όχι πολλές, ή ξαφνικά οργανώνεται μια ελληνική κοινότητα 
χρηστών Debian και αποκτά νόημα η λίστα ή απλά ξεγραφονται όσοι θεωρούν την 
ύπαρξη της λίστας περιττή -εγώ είμαι μάλλον στους δεύτερους. Στην αρχή χάρηκα 
με το flame γιατί είδα επιτέλους κίνηση, ας είναι και flame, αλλά μετά 
συνειδητοποιώ ότι είναι κατάντια και καλύτερα να κλείσει η λίστα.

ΥΓ. Το ίδιο ισχύει και για το debian.gr, αν δεν ποστάρω εγώ κάποιο blog το 
site είναι ψιλο-dormant και τα δικά μου κάθε άλλο παρά σχετικά με Ελλάδα είναι 
(τα πιο πολλά είναι σχετικά με debian-arm όπως θα έχουν ίσως προσέξει 
μερικοί). Για τον ίδιο λόγο σκέφτομαι να κλείσω το debian.gr ή να γίνει ένα 
reboot, το μόνο που με χαλάει είναι το περιεχόμενο αλλά σε τελική τι να 
κάνουμε, progress is progress.

ΥΓ2. Σε όσους μου έστειλαν private mail να κάνω moderate στη λίστα, δεν θα το 
κάνω, αρνούμαι κατηγορηματικά να ρίξω το φταίξιμο στους αναγνώστες της λίστας 
που απλά δε γουστάρουν spam -γιατί σορρυ κιόλας, αλλά κι εγώ spam το 
χαρακτηρίζω, δε με ενδιαφέρουν οι πλανήτες, το μόνο που κάνουν είναι 
αναμετάδωση πληροφορίας όχι παραγωγή πληροφορίας/γνώσης, και σε καμία 
περίπτωση δεν θεωρώ την δημιουργία planet σοβαρό project. Για την ακρίβεια, θα 
έλεγα ότι από τη στιγμή που βγήκαν τα planets, σχεδόν εξαφανίστηκε η αμφίδρομη 
επικοινωνία αφού ο καθένας πλέον μη θέλοντας να δικαιολογήσει/συζητήσει κάποιο 
θέμα, απλά προβαίνει σε ανακοινώσεις στο blog του και ποστάρει το URL 
(short-form κιόλας, μπλιαχ). Και αν έχεις αντίρρηση και γράψεις κάποιο σχόλιο, 
μπορεί να φας moderation ενώ ο διάλογος συνεχίζεται μέσω blogs και πρέπει να 
παρακολουθείς 2-3 blogs για να δεις τι λέει ο ένας και ο άλλος. Κάποιοι έχουν 
παρανοήσει εντελώς το σκοπό και την έννοια του blog. mail list = ομαδική 
συζήτηση, blog = μονόπλευρή (ίσως διαδοχική) έκθεση απόψεων. Για μερικά θέματα 
ταιριάζει, τα περισσότερα posts όμως που βλέπω σε blog θα ταιριάζαν καλύτερα 
σε λίστες.

Θεσμός δεν η λίστα σαν οντότητα αλλα η έννοια της αλληλοβοήθειας μιας ελληνικής
ομάδας μέσα απο λίστα.

Επίσης διαφωνώ έντονα με το αν θέλω να πω κάτι θα το πω στην παγκόσμια
κοινότητα. Ο λόγος απλός, προσωπικά αν θες δε μπορώ να παρακολουθήσω μια
διεθνή λίστα με 8000 μηνύματα τη μέρα. Επίσης δε μπορώ να ανάπτυξω δια
προσωπική σχέση σε μια διεθνή λίστα Που είναι κατ´ εμε το α και ω σε μια
κοινότητα. Τέλος ένας νέος χρήστης που θα έρθει και είναι απειρος δε θα παει
στη διεθνή λίστα και θα τον χάσουμε. Αντι λοιπόν να μεμφομαστε τη λίστα και ότι
άλλο εργαλείο έχουμε, μήπως να συντονιστουμε λίγο καλύτερα και να συμμετέχουμε;

Εγώ πάλι δε μπορώ να καταλάβω πότε το βαφτίσαμε κοινότητα και γιατί τα
πάντα τα βαφτίζουμε με το στανιό κοινότητα; Υπάρχει λόγος που η λίστα
λέγεται debian-USERS-greek.

Πολλή hipsteria έπεσε μου φαίνεται με όλη αυτή τη μαρκετινίστικη
εξωστρέφια του ubuntu/fedora και δε θα μου άρεσε καθόλου να επεκταθεί
και στο debian. Αυτό όμως είναι άλλο thread.

Επίσης δε μπορώ να ανάπτυξω διαπροσωπική σχέση σε μια διεθνή λίστα Που είναι
κατ´ εμε το α και ω σε μια κοινότητα.

2. έχω διαπροσωπικές σχέσεις και έχω γνωρίσει προσωπικά περισσότερα άτομα σε
διεθνείς λίστες από όσα γνωρίζω εδώ, οπότε γίνεται. Και δεν είμαστε κοινότητα
με όλους αυτούς.
3. Αν τώρα ήταν να γίνουμε ελληνική κοινότητα Debian κάτι το οποίο
προσπάθησα προσωπικά στο παρελθόν και δε μπορώ να πω ότι το πέτυχα, θα ήθελε
κινήσεις από κάποιον/κάποιους, συναντήσεις κλπ. Δε νομίζω καν ότι υπάρχουν
εθελοντές για κάτι τέτοιο -εγώ δεν είμαι- και ακόμη και να υπήρχαν, πολλοί
εδώ
διαφωνούν με τη δημιουργία και το βάφτισμα τους ως μέλη της ελληνικής
κοινότητας Debian και πλέον συμφωνώ μαζί τους. Το να βγούμε μερικοί για ένα
καφέ δε συνιστά κοινότητα. Χρειάζεται δέσμευση και συνεχείς δραστηριότητες.

1. Κοιτα, βάφτισε το όπως θέλεις, κοινότητα, λίστα, ομάδα, cult, Θανάση,
Βαγγέλη, σουζανα κλπ αλλα κάτι είμαστε εδω που μιλάμε και κάτι μας συνδέει.
Αυτό προσπάθησα να σου πω και επάνω, μη κολλας στην λέξη αλλα δούλεψε στην
έννοια.

2. Προφανώς καταλαβαίνεις ότι εκτός και είσαι εκτός Ελλάδας συνέχεια, ένας
μέσος άνθρωπος δε μπορεί να έχει διαπροσωπικές σχέσεις με μέλη της διεθνής
κοινότητας εε; Και δεν εννοώ Facebook pal αλλα πραγματική γνωριμία.

3. Τώρα μιλάς σωστά, άρα μήπως πρέπει να το στήσουμε αυτο; Να κάνουμε λοιπόν
μια συνάντηση ν δουν αν και πως μπορεί να οργανωθεί;

Τέλος ένας νέος χρήστης που θα έρθει και είναι απειρος δε θα παει στη διεθνή
λίστα και θα τον χάσουμε.

Επίσης:
1. Ο τελείως άπειρος χρήστης δεν θα έρθει στο Debian θα πάει στο Ubuntu.
2. Από τους χιλιάδες που στέλνουν στη λίστα μηνύματα βοήθειας, δε θυμάμαι να
αφέθηκε κανένας στην τύχη του, στην χειρότερη τον παραμπεμψαμε στη σωστή
λίστα.

1. Δεν είναι απαραίτητο. Απειρος είναι και ο Ubuntu χρήστης που είναι point /
click και θέλει να κολυμπήσει ποιο βαθιά. Όχι κατ´ ανάγκη programmer ή sysadmin

Αντι λοιπόν να μεμφομαστε τη λίστα και ότι άλλο εργαλείο έχουμε, μήπως να
συντονιστουμε λίγο καλύτερα και να συμμετέχουμε;

Δε μέμφομαι τη λίστα, αλλά αν για να γίνει μια σοβαρή συζήτηση πρέπει να
προηγηθεί ένα flame war, τότε εγώ είμαι 100% σύμφωνος και ας έχουμε 10

Η γνώμη μου είναι ότι σε τελική η λίστα είναι λάθος ονοματισμένη. Θα έπρεπε
να
λέγεται debian-greek-friends.

Κώστα επειδή χρησημοποιω Debian δεν σημαίνει ότι και το σωβρακο θα πρέπει να
έχει το logo επάνω (αν και στυλιστικα ακούγεται Καλο). Πρέπει να χρησιμοποιείς

(συναντήσεις, release-parties, installfests, παρουσιάσεις, κλπ). Αυτό δεν
είναι ερμηνεία, είναι γεγονός, και οποιαδήποτε λέξη και να διαλέξεις δεν έχει
σημασία, αλλά η υπάρχουσα λέξη κοινότητα είναι αρκετή.

Γιατί δε μπορεί να έχει διαπροσωπικές σχέσεις ένας μέσος άνθρωπος, εγώ τι
είμαι δηλαδή εξωγήινος; Ή γεννήθηκα μέσα στο Debian νομίζεις, απλά θέλει
κάποια επένδυση (σε κόπο και χρόνο εννοώ). Αν ασχολείσαι με κάποιο θέμα
αρκετά, θέλοντας και μη θα έρθεις σε επαφή και με άλλα άτομα διεθνώς, και αν
το project είναι σοβαρό και οργανωμένο, πολύ πιθανόν να γίνονται συχνά
συναντήσεις στο εξωτερικό. Και φυσικά έχει να κάνει και πόσο το κυνηγάει
κάποιος.

3. Τώρα μιλάς σωστά, άρα μήπως πρέπει να το στήσουμε αυτο; Να κάνουμε
λοιπόν μια συνάντηση ν δουν αν και πως μπορεί να οργανωθεί;

αποδείξουμε αν μπορούμε καταρχάς να οργανώσουμε κάτι, πράγμα το οποίο είναι
επίσης γνώρισμα κοινότητας.

διατηρώ στα settings. Αυτο που δε καταλαβαίνω είναι γιατι κθε φορα 
καποιος θα γκρινιαξει που θα το δει. 

Επίσης χαίρομαι που απο ολο το mail έχεις ένσταση μόνο σε αυτο.

Εδώ δεν έχει. Με το βαριέμαι να το σβήνω κάθε φορά απλά δείχνεις ότι
δε σέβεσαι την παρούσα λίστα.

Ούτε έχω το χρόνο να γράφω μακρυνάρια ούτε  να παραθέσω την άποψή μου
στο συγκεκριμένο θέμα που έχει χιλιοσυζητηθεί,για άλλη μια φορά.
Κανονίστε μια μπύρα κάποιο βράδυ να πλακωθούμε με την ησυχία μας.

Αν οργανωθεί κάτι ίσως, αλλά το γεγονός ότι μένω Λάρισα, με βγάζει από τη 
λίστα των βασικών οργανωτών. Προς το παρόν έχω στο μυαλό μου κατα νού να 
παραβρεθώ στα δύο αυτά συνέδρια -ή τουλάχιστον να προσπαθήσω.

Certo então faz assim no servidor interno rode o comando
ssh -L 22:servidor_interno:22 usuario@servidor_externo

Depois execute o comando que te falei. Mais caso o servidor inter no
já tenha SSH rodando basta mudar a porta. Ou seja todo acesso que
fizer ao servidor_interna na verdade esta sendo feito ao
servidor_externo. É isto que quer?

O mc (midnight commander) permite visualizar o conteúdo de um
arquivo .deb muito facilmente.

Olá,
o que você pode fazer é: rodar a partir da sua máquina, por exemplo, o
comando ssh user@servidor shutdown -h now
Ele vai te pedir a senha (ou naõ, se vc configurou um par de chaves
anteriormente) e depois vai executar o comando na máquina remota, mas
tecnicamente, ele se logar no servidor, executar o comando, e depois sair.

estou com o cups instalado para 12 impressoras pela rede e 2 na usb mas o 
problemas eh que umas destas impressoras depende de pegar dados de calibração 
das cores pelo windows para funcionar corretamente e para que ele pegue estes 
dados presciso instalar o driver lpr dela ja instalei mas o problema eh que nao 
encontro o daemon de lpr para reiniciar eu ja configure o /etc/printcap mas nao 
consigo achar o LPR no debian

Você instalou o lpr ou está usando o cups-bsd  ? Ou não ? 


Se instalou o lpr, o arquivo de inicialização costuma aparecer quando se dá um 
dpkg -L pacote | grep init.d/

Nunca usei o LPR, mas faz assim:

updatedb

isso vai atualizar a lista de arquivos e pacotes no sistem, depois use:


locate lpr


Veja se aparece algum arquivi.

Nunca mexi com esse tipo de daemon, deve ser meio complicado.

works for me well enough: runs every Monday at noon and checks whether
another eight weeks have passed, and if so executes myscript. By

that page was achieved, THE SYSTEM FROZE and I could do nothing 
more... The mouse was no longer active, same for the keyboard or 
anything else, CTRL-ALT-DEL did nothing, and I had no other choice 
than disconnecting power. At reboot, the freezing did appear right 
away, in the process of gnome launching. Same at each new attempt.


I first thought that the chipset may have been faulty or damaged. So I 
tested it under MSWIN (XP) since I have a dual boot on that desktop. 
Under MSWIN, after the appropriate install with the provided CDROM, 
the TL-WN751ND card did operate all right. After the password was 
typed, connexion happened and operated without freezing the system or 
any other trouble. So, it is most likely that the hardware is not 
faulty here.


I understand that I should probably have first checked if my Debian 
Squeeze system was ready with the appropriate packages to run that 
wireless chipset, instead of right away trusting the fact that it 
seemed to be reckognized 'out of the box'. However, now that things 
are that way, I wonder what files I should delete (booting from a 
rescue disk maybe), so that I am able to de-install or install 
whatever is needed to get that chipset working.

P.S. : I carried new tests. As said above, now that my WiFi is 
configured, every attempt to boot, leads to freezing of the system in 
the middle of gnome start... EXCEPT IF I shutdown my DSL/WiFi box !   As 
long as no connexion is possible, the system starts all right ; I can 
see the other WiFi available in the area (I don't have the 
passwords...). This being, if I reboot my WiFi connexion on the DSL 
modem, then, as said before, connexion does happen all right, it seems 
fully operational, but only for about 45 to 60 seconds, system freezing 
happens next. My TL-WN751ND card is supposed to work with Debian kernel 
module ath9k, which is supposed to be loaded with the wireless-tools 
package, which is alreeady installed.

   Is there any reason why you don't use date '+%V' (or %W or %U)?

That'd break with every new year: for instance,
[ $(expr $(/bin/date +\%V) \% 8) -eq 1 ]
would trigger on ISO week 1, 9, ..., 41, 49 and then again in the next
year on ISO week 1, resulting in a shorter interval between the years
than desired.

Hi,

since last time I

cp /etc/passwd passwd.old

Later used vipw deleted one un-existed user entry.

I thought something wrong, so I
mv passwd,old passwd back.

Anyway, later I use vipw again deleted that entry.

But the problem showed up:

for user lina,
I can login, no problem,
but once the screensaver (xfce4) worked, the password not worked anymore.
use Alt+Ctr+F1 login as lina works.

I didnt have time to checkout the ntp thing of one my latest questions 
to answer that mail... but let me ask another unrelated question ;)


in the prefork module, the MaxRequestsPerChild defaults to 0. I wonder 
why such thing is done. The only reason to do so is to increase 
performance with heavy loads but it carries a problem with it. If the 
process start leaking for whatever reason, it will drag the server until 
it runs out of memory and you can't even log in...


It does not look like a sane default from my point of view...

I am using an IBM x3650 7979 that i believe has a netextreme network card.
On install of Debian Squeeze - I get the following messege:

the missing firmware files are: bnx2/bnx2-mips-06-5.0.0.j3.fw

does anyone know how i can get around this ?
Make the network card be seen during install ? or after install ?

I have located a file  bnx2/bnx2-mips-06-5.0.0.j3.fw in the debian repository.
But do not know how to or when to use it ?

I rebooted the compuetr, and as the first thing to do when up did as you
proposed.
Here is the result:

I had no problems with that default which anyway, is easily tweakable.

You want the firmware-bnx2 package. On an installed system you enable
the non-free archive and get it in your usual way. During an install put
the .deb on a USB stick. The Debian wiki will have more on catering for
firmware.

I would first create a new user, login with it and check if xscreensaver 
works for there just to discard a problem with the package itself.

That bug is quite old. What's your gnome-screensaver version?

Review which packages have been updated, they should be under /var/log/
apt/* or /var/log/dpkg*.

Anyway, since a recent update I also started to face problems with 
gnome-keyring, it remains unlocked at login...
