Le problème est peut être en rapport avec le chargement des fichiers de config après l'ouverture d'une session X (configuration du clavier dans le fichier xorg) c'est pourquoi tu avais toujours le problème avec vnc (car utilise X) et pas avec ssh (sans l'option -X). Quant à compiler apt sur la machine en question, c'était impossible parce qu'il y avait tellement de dépendances que je n'y serais pas arrivé sans un apt-get fonctionnel. Heureusement que j'avais un cross-compilateur fonctionnel sur une autre machine... Pendant cette période je n'ai jamais rencontré de problème avec vnc. et pas avec ssh (sans l'option -X). A la larga aprenderás cosas y te buscarás otros dolores de cabeza como lvm que te permite ir asignando espacio a las particiones a medida que lo vas necesitando, incorporar discos al sistema de forma transparente, etc... (Esto no se lo recomiendo a un novato, por lo menos en una máquina que sea importante o en la que no se haga un buen respaldo.) Por que Debian aconseja solo dos particiones, pues porque no querrán intimidar a los novatos antes de que le pillen el gusanillo al mundo unix. Y recomienda crear swap, porque aunque se tenga mucha memoria, nos podemos evitar sorpresas desagradables teniéndola y el propio sistema se puede aprovechar de este espacio para optimizar los procesos en memoria. Yo diría que es un repositorio para gente con prisas, es decir, si tienes algún problema y sabes que el paquete que viene lo va a solucionar, nada más. Del lado de quien recibe el correo se supone que tiene la obligación de aceptar tu correo independientemente de la ip de la que provenga, pero si después pasa por otro filtro como puede ser Spamassasin, este puede verificar SPF y ver que entró un correo a nombre de tu dominio que no está declarado explícitamente en tu registro SPF y puede ser que le agregue puntos para catalogarlo como spam. -all Indica que estás seguro de que solamente de las ip's declaradas en el registro SPF saldrá correo legítimo para tu dominio. Por lo tanto le dices al destinatario que no acepte nada que no provenga de las ip's declaradas en tu registro SPF. Procmail no funciona
Hola Alguien que haya podido hacer funcionar el procmail que pudiera dar una mano, no hay forma que me trabaje con postfix, no sé que estoy haciendo mal. /etc/procmailrc ?Como debe ir el fichero de configuración? Buenos Días, Camaleón Extraño puede tratarse de un bug no he revisado ni he tenido aún la experiencia por la que estas pasando, pero si te sirve de info en las particiones LVM no se puede instalar el punto de montura /boot, esta debe de estar siempre afuera totalmente aparte con lo que espero que no sea tu caso Sin más que hacer referencia, se despide. En teoría es el cargador de arranque que viene con debían 7, grub legacy creo. Si lo detecta correctamente todo ( los dos discos, las particiones...) no sé porque no se instala o, no sé qué puedo estar haciendo mal en la instalación. Hola Javier y demás, acabo de solucionar lo de spotify en i386 (y lo de los paquetes ya anteriormente junto con los msjs de error del ppa) por si a alguien le sirve. En wheezy se actualizó la libssl1.0 creo y la necesaria tal me decías era la de squeeze (que no conocí). Tras buscar en varios sitios y soluciones ésta es la única válida pasando por la instalación de la antigua libreria y la llave pública correcta y funciona ok http://linuxforcynics.com/how-to/install-spotify-on-debian-testing-wheezy sigo mirando otras cosas que me voy encontrando por el camino... gracias! El tema de spotify está solucionado como he mandado msj al grupo por si alguien se ve en apuros básicos como yo. Conseguí solucionar el problema de Iceweasel con grooveshark en su pagina web pasando por la instalacion del plugin de adobe (lamentablemente) pero el cliente sigue sin funcionar y sigo mirando a ver. gracias! Hola Alex, solucioné el tema de Insync y funciona correctamente. Es cierto que debe ser gratuita esta versión que he instalado o al menos aún no me han venido con las rebajas... Apareceu numa das resposta um tal de viruskiller dizendo na descrição que é um jogo sobre vírus invadindo seu computador. Achei deveras intrigante mas não tive coragem suficiente para instalar e testar. Alguem ai conhece e poderia falar um pouco sobre o que se trata? grub confusion
i had been using a 500GB disk with two kernels for boot up in two different environment however last nigh i plug the harddrive in to new server and deleted all the partition and installed fresh Debian 6.0.7 on to it. when system is restarted after installation i observe that i could see the same grub menu means deleting partition did not effect the grub menu so my question is if i want to install a fresh copy of debian how can i reset grup to its default display? or how can i delete the grub settings for a fresh copy of grub? i even run this command grub-install /dev/sda it didn't help though. secondly, for RAID1 purpose i have plugged another drive and i want to copy same partition table from sda to sdb i was previously using sfdisk to copy the partition however is saw another easy method of copying partition table which is cp /dev/sda /dev/sdb so my question is is there any difference in both command set. does it make any difference if i use cp rather sfdisk. Assumed you're using a system with MBR, then GRUB is installed within the first 512 bytes of the HDD, but grub.cfg (GRUB 2) and menu.lst (GRUB legacy), IOW the file that includes the menu entries, is located within a Linux install in /boot/grub. If you deleted the partitions, then you lost grub.cfg, resp. menu.lst and it's impossible that you get back your old menu. You must have done something wrong! However you can reset the menu by running # mv /boot/grub/grub.cfg /boot/grub/grub.cfg.bak # mv /boot/grub/menu.lst /boot/grub/menu.lst.bak We need more information to troubleshoot what's going wrong. well i just simply installed Squeeze 6.0.7 like i use to do it. however in old days i was using windows XP CD to delete the partition however this time i decided to delete partition via FDISK during installation and i have used fdisk for very long so there are less chances of making mistakes. i surely remeber that i deleted all the partition via fdisk and manually recreated the partition in installation process where it ask manually partitioning the disk. so thats all i did. btw, one more thing my partition tables were a bit advance where i used RAID and LVM, do you think it could be the reason of that? apache permission users
Hi folks!
I installed apache2 web server on debian.
I need use this web server to host several domains (friends's domains)
I'm not sure how configure permission for each users.
ie:
user1 = mywebserver1 (has real domain)
user2 = mywebserver2 (has real domain)
user3 = mywebserver3 (has real domain)
user4 = mywebserver4 (has real domain)
now:
mkdir -p /var/www/{mywebserver1,mywebserver2,mywebserver3,mywebserver4,}
is it a good idea set permission like:
chown mywebserver1:mywebserver1 /var/www/mywebserver1
and
chmod 755 /var/www/mywebserver1?
and same for other dirs?
or is there a howto to setting up this configuration?

(My system speaks to me in Japanese, so the messages below are my translations.) apt-get update pulled down its usual mix of stuff, then apt-get upgrade tells me linux-base linux-image-2.6.32-5-686 linux-libc-dev will be upgraded, but, 3 packages to upgrade, 0 B of archive to download out of 28.7 MB and after I told it to proceed, reads the changelog and goes to the setup stage without downloading. What should I understand happened here? Is the upgrade entirely contained in the update? Or is something wrong with my package manager? -- Joel Rees

You have to leave read permissions for the web server to be able serve up
the web pages. That means 775 or 755 for directories and 664 or 644 for
files.

Although the disks are the same size, /dev/sdb is an Advanced Format disk. If they are both the same manufacturer and model, then your manufacturer has been sneaky. The squeeze3 kernel, etc. packages are right there in the cache directory. Odd. The dates are Saturday afternoon and evening. I just checked synaptic, and it says notify, not download. Synaptic isn't going to have a separate setting for download-in-background is it? But I'm pretty sure I ran apt-get update and upgrade in proper order on Sunday and Monday. Once I got the working combination of Landscape/Portrait and other factors in synch between the printer and OO, from then on I simply copied the new address in place of a former address in order to print envelopes reliably. Here's the end result of today's experiment. First, I deleted everything from the farmer's axe envelope template, and that printed as a blank page. zabbix in stable (wheezy)
When I make apt-cache search zabbix in a debian stable there is no results. stuck automating Wheezy install - can't find two options
I'm trying to automate a Wheezy install, porting preseed.cfg from the previous release. In my case, possibly my upgrades from experimental. I think I have seen a couple of other threads where pulling previous updates from experimental has lead to problems once the freeze ended. I'm going to downgrade to the nvidia drivers in sid and try 3.8 again. Here is what is in my /etc/procmailrc file, to allow for Maildir format

Doing last part of update
Hey, group, A cron job on a system I was just handed does this: /usr/bin/apt-get dist-upgrade -d -y -o APT::Get::Show-Upgraded=true So there are some packages downloaded which need to be finished up. I've been using the other linux distro for a long time and haven't used debian in a very long time. Truth be told, I'm a little shaky about doing this, don't want to remarkably mess up. It's been recommended that I use aptitude. But how would this play out? What's the method least likely to encounter difficulty.
