Hi Richmond,

Why don't you make an experiment?

Make a full backup of your ssystem

Do some serious testing in your spare time.

Publish the results, please.

You might do others a favour (now and in the future).

They have invented plastic that breaks down quickly, for their steady source of
income.

Even the environment is sacrificed.

Welcome to the capitalist society!

I escaped this world long ago!!

No more corona vaccins for me, I let God decide.

(Thanks the Dutch gouvernement for giving me basic income)

In this town the biggest parking lot is right next to the hospital.

They even managed to make profit from the people who visit their ill family and
friends.

(they know that visit is good for the patients)

As a sysadmin of a mailserver, I can tell you this would never be able to

Actually I do and have my current ssh set up documented. And it includes
note on how to restart the ssh service. (I'm not even sure if ssh-agent was
around with the original ssh.)

If I recall correctly, you are setting up a server for production use,

As I said, I'm still the only user, and the droplet I'm experimenting with
boots up quickly at the moment (and it's not in production yet). So
lazyness reigns for now ;-D

Most of them will probably be using it as a portable hotspot: carry

The directive you are proposing to uncomment defaults to "yes", so
you need not make any change.

You seem to be very reboot-happy. I recommend understanding the
impact of the changes you will make instead of assuming you need to
reboot to make them effective.

In this case you do not need to make a change to your sshd's config,
but if you *did*, it would only be affecting sshd not anything else
on the system. So you'd only need to restart sshd.

This is a config file for the ssh client, i.e. the "ssh" command.
As such it's read every time you run ssh and you do not need to
reboot the system after changing its configuration.

Also, the file you mention is the system-wide configuration file,
but the change can also be made on a per-user basis by editing
~/.ssh/config.

I'm kinda thinking they are wrangling among themselves. but we don't
have to.

This might be due to your short-sightedness. Or not.

That's what's missing from *your* affirmation and the very reason it is
pure bullshit.

I think they do constant A/B testing. Perhaps they have a built-in feedback
loop (increase B if A loses less than a given fraction or something).

They're messing with your brain. I'd leave the sinking ship.

Are you saying that debian keeps "instrumented" binary versions of
their packages ready for debugging!? I checked and it doesn't seem to
be the case (and/or I am making some mistake)

No. It has, in that repository, packages with only the symbols, that gdb
can then use, as if the executables and libraries had debug symbols
included. gdb should be already set up to automatically find the symbols
in the locations that the -dbg[sym] packages install them.

$ apt-cache search webkit2 dbg

$ apt-cache search webkit dbg
python3-pyqt5.qtwebchannel-dbg - Python 3 bindings for Qt5's
Webchannel module (debug extension)
python3-pyqt5.qtwebkit-dbg - Python 3 bindings for Qt5's WebKit module

$ sudo apt install webkit2-dbgsym

You have python installed, which is an extra complication layer (and one
about which I know very little).

But for debugging C/C++ programs, you'd need to find the package that
contains the actual library you want debugged, and install the
corresponding -dbgsym package. Hint: library packages are name
lib. For example, there's

libqt5webkit5 - Web content engine library for Qt
libwebkit2gtk-4.0-37 - Web content engine library for GTK

... and others (and other versions). Unfortunately, I don't use Webkit
or Python, so can't help much more here. But look for installed packages
related to webkit, and search for the corresponding -dbgsym packages.
Note that probably there won't be -dbgsym packages for the python
bindings, since these are just python code, not object files (libraries,
executables).

Je ne crois pas que quelqu'un en ait parlé jusqu'à présent : clonezilla live
(https://clonezilla.org + https://sourceforge.net/projects/clonezilla/).

(https://borgbackup.readthedocs.io/en/stable
) et j'en suis satisfait.
L'outil permet le chiffrement et la déduplication notamment.

Bonne journée,

Remove mod_python
$ sudo apt purge libapache2-mod-python

no reason to use it in 2022.

Frankly, I see no reason to use apache for python either: I recommend
python application server (gunicorn or uwsgi) and light frontend like nginx
or lighthttpd to terminate HTTPS and serve static files.
You can connect them using FastCGI or HTTP.

Sinon, je te recommande de nous fournir le retour des commandes suivantes :

ls -l /etc/apt/sources.list.d/

Re: grep: show matching line from pattern file

2022-06-04 Thread DdB
Hello,

of course, there are different ways to solve this, i like the perl
approach. Only since i myself am not all that familiar with the
language, i'd like to add 2 pointers:
(M)AWK scripting language can do similar things (read syslog once, loop
over regular expressions and output anything you want about it).
But if you can live with calling egrep repeatedly, i would suggest GNU
parallel, which works similar to xargs, only a much enhanced version of
it, using sevral cores in parallel by default but also handling the
commandline in a much improved way (special syntax, so to speak). It
allows coding your request as a one-liner, i am certain, but probably
not as effective, as perl or awk would have been.
BTW: GNU parallel is in debian repos, but a quite outdated version of it.

Have fun, DdB
