Re: E 0.15.1 debs

1999-03-14 Thread Andreas Kremer
Well, a new release, a new set of debs.

You have really done a great work. Enlightenment now looks like it is
possible to use it day-to-day. Only the icE does not want to appear in
the theme menu.

Well done. Andreas.

Re: Wierd KDE Library error...?

1999-03-11 Thread Andreas Kremer
kmedia: error in loading shared libraries
  /usr/X11R6/lib/libkfile.so.2: undefined symbol: __pure_virtual

I also got this problem. Downgrading to qt1g-...-1 solved it. But now,
with the old version I get a segmentation fault e.g. with
karchie. Before I got the error message as described above.

Andreas.

Re: smail configuration.

1999-02-09 Thread Andreas Kremer
Hi,

from the ISP's mailserver instead. (man smail, look
at /usr/doc/smail, this isn't exactly easy)

an easier way could be to install exim als MTA. There you have to
uncommend the last two lines in exim.conf and create a file called
email-addresses in /etc/ with

   user [EMAIL PROTECTED]

and everything should work fine.

Bye, Andreas.

Re: Installing kde 1.1 pre2

1999-02-07 Thread Andreas Kremer
Hi,

all you have to do is

1. Update to slink (I have done so and it worked well - it may also work with
some updated hamm-packages but I don't know)
2. get qt1.42 from slink/potato
3. get the *.deb files from
ftp.[de.]kde.org/pub/.../dists/deb/potato/binary-i386/
4. install them with dpkg -i [names].deb (include your downloaded qt1.42)

On my system everything worked fine.
Good luck,
Andreas.

Re: Leafnode

1999-01-21 Thread Andreas Kremer

How do I setup leafnode for reading news? I've read the documents, but
can't find anything listed about telling leafnode which groups I want to
 read.

This works automatically: The first time you fetch, leafnode gets the active
groups. Then the only thing you have to do is access the newsgroup with your
newsreader. At that time you only read a placeholder, but since then leafnode
will fetch news from that group for you.

Bye, Andreas.

Re: Big problem, help !

1998-11-30 Thread Andreas Kremer
Hi,

I have just upgraded my debian, unstable version. Here is the message
I get when I do virtually anything:
 groumph:/usr/lib# dselect
dselect: error in loading shared libraries
 /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.2.8: undefined symbol: __register_frame_info
 groumph:/usr/lib# telnet
telnet: error in loading shared libraries
 /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.0-1.so.2: undefined symbol:
 __register_frame_info

I got the same on my system with wine, wmcdplay and wmmount? Is there
anybody who can fix this problem?
