No mouse or keyboard on startup

2005-07-19 Thread Dan Priestley
I need my system to be able to start up with no mouse
or keyboard attached - only a monitor. I set KDM to
automatically log me on and then run the desired
program. However, this only works if keyboard AND
mouse are connected. If I disconnect either with the
power off, it simply starts up to the terminal screen
and wants me to log in as if no GUI was installed.
How can I make it so my KDE Desktop system starts and
launches KDE without a mouse or keyboard connected?
Thanks.

Start-Up script

2005-07-14 Thread Dan Priestley
Hey everybody,
I'm looking to use my Debian machine as a digital
picture frame and I need feh to start when the machine
boots up. All of the components are mounted behind an
LCD in a wood frame and the whole thing hangs on the
wall. How can I make feh start during boot up so that
I dont need to have a mouse and keyboard plugged in?
How do I write the script for that?
